Does anyone know if FMW (under their rebrand) still run shows?

Just read that AXS will not broadcast NJPW in 2020, likely due to Anthem's purchase of the network and their goal of pushing Impact and WOW.

Sucks for those who don’t have the means to watch in other ways. Hopefully they’ll find a new partner to air in the US.
I’m pretty stoked for WK. One week away!

So it looks like AEW and New Japan are testing the waters on working together.

We’ll see if Tanahashi actually wins or not.

So it looks like AEW and New Japan are testing the waters on working together. That is so cool. From what I heard, the topic started from Tana. With thier us promotion coming, could be neat. Shibata is training young lions in the la dojo...

We’ll see if Tanahashi actually wins or not. I know its wishful thinking, but I was thinking that perhaps Tana wins at WK, then challenges Jericho at the Revolution PPV in Chicago, where Jericho gets his win back. I know it will probably be Moxley, but I can dream book.

Aww man, I really want to see that Ospreay vs Time Bomb match. Those 2 always make magic. I guess without AXS, I may just have to wait....

That was unreal. Singles matches tore it up. White/Naito was amazing again, and holy crap Ibushi. That match took it to another level. I was so sure they were setting up naito/Ibushi, but Gedo got me again. Well done NJPW, psyched for night 2

Reward Naito for the years he has maintained his popularity since the LIJ gimmick with a decent run. Then after a few months, Ibushi can be the guy and have Tanahashi, White, Okada, etc. waiting in the wings.

The spot where Ibushi got serious and no-sold Okada’s shots, I perked up on my couch. His face was another level of serious, and then those closed fist shots he gave Okada were brutal. From then on it was a classic next-level NJPW match.

Then after a few months, Ibushi can be the guy and have Tanahashi, White, Okada, etc. waiting in the wings. I think this is probably the way they'll go, and a good way to do it. The alternative would be to have White take it off Naito at Dominion, wrapping up their recent trilogy and closing that story, letting Ibushi come for him at next year's WK. Leaves Okada largely out of the picture for a while though, so I think your angle is more likely and better. I think White has to go on a larger arc after losing both the heavyweight and IC titles in relative short order. Naito ---> Ibushi --------->White.

I'll be interested to see tomorrow if they announce WK to be another 2 day event for next year. I got bit by the bug last year and my wife loved Japan, so I'll try making that push again.

Only thing the two-night deal did was make night 1 not really feel like Wrestle Kingdom. At least right away. Got those two filler tag matches after Liger’s match, it just took a while to get into the title matches and important matches. Everything in night 2 is either important and/or title matches, so it should carry a bigger feel throughout the whole show.
