After being declared to face KENTA for the right to challenge for the US Championship, Juice Robinson has been pulled due to a broken orbital bone.
KENTA is still scheduled to compete on Night 1 with the title shot on the line, against an opponent yet to be announced.

I watched the show live. Pretty good show. For a 6 match card, it went almost 4 hours, but it felt like 2 and a half. Night 2 I'm gonna have to wait til I get off from work cause I work early mornings

Felt long to me, but I was mainly just waiting for the last two matches. I actually fell asleep about 5 minutes into Naito/Ibushi. I knew laying down on the couch was a bad idea but I did it anyway. When I woke up it was post-match where Naito was about to hand over the belts to Ibushi. I tried not to look/listen to what was going on, but kinda knew what was going on regardless. Watched the whole match earlier when I woke up. I think I’ll be good to get through everything tonight, last couple days of not sleeping as much as normal just caught up to me.

I've been watching in reverse order since I got home from work so I could remove any further temptation to spoil the Ibushi/Naito outcome. Ibushi/Naito damn near put me to sleep for 90% of it. Felt like one of those speed cycling races where they play cat and mouse the entire race and never take off. Okada/Ospreay was really good, not that it's a surprise there. Loved the finish with Okada finally going back to the Rainmaker. Kenta & Tana matches both felt like glorified special singles matches at tour shows, which is essentially what they were. Fine matches just didn't feel like WK matches. Currently starting the tag team match, I have higher hopes for this and the Phantasmo/Hiromu matches. Still excited for Jay White tomorrow, that one should be really good.
It's not that it's been a really bad show or anything, but it hasn't felt even remotely like a Wrestle Kingdom to me so far.

Tanahashi vs. O-Khan felt like any John Cena vs. insert-random-new-kind-of-scary-big-man match.

Just like last year, I liked the Night One main event more than Night Two.
Let's put the 2 night dome to bed.

I'm undecided if I think the 2 nights is the issue, or if it's because they keep having a same guy main event both nights. If it was just Ibushi/Naito on night 2 and a totally different match night 1 (maybe Okada/Ospreay) I think the 2 nights still could work. I haven't actually watched day 2 yet (I know the outcomes, no spoiler worries), so I don't know which one I prefer, but just a thought.

I feel they could easily have the IC Title main event night 1, and the Heavyweight title main event night 2. The two night deal isn't much of the problem

I would agree with those last two posts. They’ve got to separate the belts too, but they don’t need to headline both nights for the main title every year.

Finished night two. I liked ibushi/white a lot more than ibushi/Naito personally Crazy that they set the record for longest Tokyo Dome match. Didn’t feel THAT long watching it.

I think I would have liked it with a normal WK crowd (Meltzer is right about the atmosphere adding to a match in the dome). There were points of Ibushi/White were I was pretty bored and was waiting for something to happen. To each their own, but I liked Okada/Ospreay more than Ibushi/Naito and Cobb/Shingo more than Ibushi/White

So I caught a bit of NJPW Strong tonight and I was wondering on how it's going to be incorporated into regular NJPW if at all when COVID is gone. Is it going to be the NJPW US show? Like was planned a few years back for the IWGP US title to be the main belt in the States? I'm really interested in it and if the guys they have competing there will find themselves involved in major tournaments like the G1 or World Tag League.

Night 1 of Wrestle Kingdom was better then Night 2 overall. Outside of Ibushi's matches Ospreay vs. Okada and Hiromu vs. Taiji Ishimori were both f%$*()ng great. I liked Shingo vs. Jeff Cobb but not as much as everyone else.

I don't know if they've said how it's exactly going to be incorporated once covid is over, but yes it is essentially the beginning of their us expansion project. If they take any of the guys that have been exclusively NJPW strong long term then yes they could definitely appear in things like the g1 post covid.

How long do they expect with COVID in America and around the world know exactly when It’s gonna be over people must know it’s not over yet and could be around for many years to come so I would not expect NJPW to break in the the American market with crowds for a while
