I remember there being one a few years ago that got locked. Maybe there was fighting, I don't know, but let's give this another chance.
Wrestle Kingdom VI was last week. What did everyone think of it?

I watched WrestleKingdom VI the night it came out. Here's my thoughts on it:
- The Jr. Tag was a lot of fun. I was actually fine with the winners even though I didn't want them to win. They showed they can still get it done. - Didn't care for the the lucha tag. The mask spots with Taichi was fun though. - The young boy match.... was what it was. - The STACK OF ARMS/Blue Justice tag was great. I thought Funaki murdered Inoue. - It was really fun to see Shelton again. MVP looks to be getting pretty fat though. - TenKoji vs. Bad Intentions was really good, but deserved more time. Good to see the triumphant victory. - Goto/Sugsy was good, and the ending made it even nicer. - Makabe/Takayama was alright, but that's all you can expect from Takayama anymore. Very good finish. - NOAH vs. NJPW tag was amazing, I loved it. I hope we get Marufuji vs. Nakamura soon. Marufuji has gotten in AWESOME shape. - Mutoh vs. Naito was great as was expected. I whined at the finish, but expected it. The post match has me interested. - Tanahashi vs. MiSu was good. Finish was expected. Okada getting a title shot after the match he had earlier is eh.

I gave it a watch and didn't anything was that great. Too many matches going in to it had obvious outcomes. Who really thought Tanahashi or Mutoh would lose.

I knew Bad Intentions would be losing the belts eventually....but its still a bit surprising. Have loved them as a tag team.
I am behind on my NJPW. I just started Wrestle Kingdom. But loved the opening match. Glad to see Apollo 55 back on top of the Junior Heavyweight Tag Division. Prefer Davey in singles anyway and have never been a fan of Romero.

I am so tired of Apollo 55 being champions, man. It's so redundant. I'll piss myself in joy if they one day heel out Taguchi and he goes on to beat Devitt for the Jr. strap.
oh, and Romero is entertaining as hell.

Unless Morishima is willing to get fatter again I'm not interested in a title run by him.

He gets fat, he's too fat.
He gets skinnier, he's not fat enough.

I love Apollo 55...especially the WK space suits ala Paul London. The Taguchi heel turn sounds like a lot of fun. I would not object. Much rather see Devitt concentrating on singles anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I like both (love Taguchi, but still) and they're a fun team and have great matches, but I'm just getting tired of the "Win the titles... lose to outsider team... win back from outsider team.... repeat"

In a late night headline, it appears that NJPW will be undergoing a huge change in stockholders. NJPW announced that on January 31st they will be selling the entire stock to the popular card game cooperation Bushiroad, and as of February 1st they will be the official owners of New Japan. This decision was made as it appears to be the best route for the promotion to develop further and the best move for the talent in general. Bushiroad are no strangers to the professional wrestling scene as they have sponsored shows in the past and even sponsored the entire 2011 G1 CLIMAX Tournament.
Kind of shocking. But I hear Bushiroad was quoted as saying they are going to overtake WWE world wide and in the US and plan to have more US tours. I like the attitude and I like the fact that they will bring NJPW to the US....but they aint overtaking WWE.

I heard they rather wanted to establish a relationship with WWE, not overtake them. They're a sponsor on WWE programming over there.

"Did you guys see the 3-way between Unpronouncable Japanese Name Vs. Another Unpronouncable Japanese Name Vs. Random Cruiserweight Gaijin? It was Indy Mark-tastic!"
Hahaha, I give you guys the utmost credit. I have enough trouble keeping up with The Big 2 here in the States. How you follow Japanese companies & keep it all in check is amazing to me!

For me personally....its not easy. I depend on Puro Spirit and Strong Style to help follow along. I think NJPW would catch on more in the states if the shows had an english commentary team like WWE has a Spanish one.
