Went to my local Kmart today looking to take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off sale and then noticed hanging from the End Cap some DVDs that said Get any 2 of the DVDs for 10 dollars. So I picked up the 2 dvds in the picture went to check out and it didn't ring up. So I told the cashier about the sale she then went to grab her manager...told her manager to check electronics and then I said it was in action figures. They call over find out that there is indeed in the sale as I mentioned and the manager instructs the cashier to take off 5 dollars. I said that doesn't make sense and they would have to take 5 of each. She then preceded to yell at me and argue with me that I was getting 5 dollars of which makes the sale. I then explained the math to her keeping my composure the whole time and the waves her hands at me and tells the cashier to do it. Needless to say between this and the shady coupon wording I will not be shopping there any time in the near future.

How much were the DVDs originally? If they were 15 bucks total originally then $5 off would have made the sale.
And yes K-Mart workers are usually very angry. I assume it's the whole, you know, working at K-Mart thing.

OK I got you. It's hard to pass up DVDs for $5 each. That's a good deal. I'm going to K-Mart tomorrow. I hope mine's got the same deal.

Hey man, u bought em didnt u? Um yeah I did buy them after having a person belittle me when it's wasn't my fault that they have no clue about what they sell, what promotions they run or how to do simple math. I get enough crap in my life and the last place I need it is where I am attempting to do a simple transaction. Also I worked in retail for 7 years and 5 of those years as a manager. We were trained to treat the customer as if they were always right and not drag our  ed up drama to work. So yes I did get what I wanted and a crappy experience for free. |

The major problem with Kmart stores lately is that the employees, including managers, have no clue what promotions and sales are being run in their own stores.

Thats the thing with Kmart, they almost always have awful service, but they also are usually the first to get new series and have the hard to find figures since nobody really goes there, so its still a win.
An older lady gave me a hard time trying to return a Papa Shango tonight. She was asking what was wrong with it, why I didn't want it, and then when it didn't ring up she said they never carried it and needed a manager to do it since the recipt was from another store. I've seen E12 there before though so maybe they just never got Shango? Still though, I could have done without the attitude and the "your 23 years old and returning a Papa Shango toy at 8:30 on a saturday" vibe she was putting off.

SELECT titles 2 for 10, not ALL dvds 2 for 10.. any DVD priced more than 9.99 should NOT be included in sale..
it looks like you got away with 1.
The only DVDS included in the sale were the 3 disc sets of Rock,Edge and Cena as the prices on the package say KMART 9.99.

There is a very solid reason that Kmart will not exist in five years. FWIW, I've never had any trouble returning anything at a Walmart.

I need to get that WM and it being 2 for $10 I will be getting soon. Anyone know when the sale ends? |
