- The opening contest of the evening saw, “Tough Enough” Matt Cross take on one half of the Super Smash Brothers, Player Dos in what was a fun fast paced way to kick of the show. The crowd were heavily behind the video gaming sensation and continued to chant “You’re not Tough Enough” towards Cross who seemingly proved the crowd wrong by the end of the match by finishing Player Dos off with a beautiful Shooting Star Press.
- Chuck Taylor, and Marshe Rockett met at the previous show in six man tag action, and they continued their match today in a good match. Marshe got a great response from the crowd being the hometown boy while Chuck Taylor was up to his usual antics. The finish to the match arrived with the ref taking a bump, causing Johnny Gargano to slide in to the ring. Big Willie Richardson also slid in to the ring and tried to hit the pounce on Gargano who moved out of the way causing Richardson to tackle his own partner. Gargano quickly tackled Richardson out of the ring allowing Chuck to cover Marshe for the three count.
- PAC & El Generico came out strong against the men that attacked them after their match at Resistance Pro #1, Jon Davis & Cory Chavis of the Dark City Fight Club. The smaller men hit hard from the opening bell to gain the early advantage but the Dark Cities power advantage brought them back in to the game and eventually they were able to single out PAC once El Generico took a sick running powerslam on the outside of the ring by Jon Davis. PAC would try to fight on his own but would fall to the numbers game and eventually fall victim to the Dark City Power Bomb. Chavis pinned Pac to get the victory for the Dark City Fight Club.
- Jigsaw and Johnny Gargano are no strangers to each other as Gargano along with partner Chuck Taylor defeated Jigsaw & Mike Quackenbush for the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas late in 2011. Quackenbush and Taylor were at ringside tonight, supporting their partners, who put one of the longer matches of the show. After some cool back n forth spots, the finish to the match eventually arrived with Quackenbush trying to enter the ring when he saw Chuck Taylor slide a chair in to the ring. The referee was distracted as Quack tried to plead his case, and during the commotion, Jigsaw got Gargano in place for the Jigatonic. Chuck Taylor slid in to the ring at this point, delivering a super kick to Jigsaw, causing him to fall back while still holding on to Gargano, causing a make shift sunset powerbomb, giving Gargano the victory.
- Following the match, Gargano & Taylor brawled with Quack & Jigsaw till the Dark City Fight Club ran down to the ring. This quickly led to Los Hombres Gravity Forgot running down to the ring as well causing a 4 way tag team brawl that eventually ended with PAC and El Generico both diving over the ropes, and crashing on top of the other six men.
- Some more great fast paced Jr. Heavyweight action as the third and final member of RONIN, Rich Swann did battle against “The youngest veteran in pro wrestling” TJ Perkins. This was a first time encounter for these two men and they put it all out there to show the fans what they could do. Some amazing acrobatic skill closed the match off as the two men countered each other’s kicks and holds with back flips and rolls. The match eventually came to an end with TJ Perkins surprising Swann with a leg take down and quickly locking in the Figure Four Death Lock. Swann was trapped in the middle of the ring and had no choice but to tap out.
- Necro Butcher was certainly in for a longer match than the twelve second wash out he had at Resistance Pro #1, as he took on the hard hitting veteran from Northern Ireland, Fit Finlay. The crowd were really in to this match and if there hadn’t of been a heavyweight championship crowning on the same show, this would have likely main evented the card. The two men hit hard from the very start of the match, brawling both inside and outside the ring. Perhaps the sickest spot of the match came with Finlay taking a top rope Tiger Driver, and not only surviving but kicking out of the pinning attempt. The two men kept it going till the end of the match which came out of nowhere, with Necro Butcher running the ropes and being caught by Finlay in a tilt a whirl situation that he quickly turned in to the Tombstone Piledriver, which was enough to pick up the victory.
- Before the main event, company owner Billy Corgan made his way down to the ring with the Resistance Pro Heavyweight Championship. He got on the microphone and announced that due to earlier events surrounding the Tag Team division. Resistance Pro #3’s main event will be the crowning of the Resistance Pro Tag Team Championships in a 4 corner tag team match where Chuck Taylor & Johnny Gargano of RONIN take on Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw, Dark City Fight Club, and Los Hombres Gravity Forgot.
- Following Kevin Steen, and Colt Cabana’s entrances, a photo op takes place in the ring with the referee, Billy Corgan, and the two men involved in the championship match.
- The main event of the evening gets underway with Kevin Steen, and Colt Cabana locking up in the middle of the ring. The two men have a test of strength with both men gaining momentum till Cabana uses some old catch as catch can to escape the hold gracefully and play to the crowd. Steen looks almost embarrassed and attacks Cabana from behind to gain momentum of the match. The match goes back n forth with both men hitting their spots and getting plenty of near falls. The finish to the match finally arrived after a hard fought 25 minute battle with Colt Cabana countering the Package Piledriver in to the 3rd Billy Goats Curse of the match. Steen screamed in pain as Cabana pulled down tighter, contorting Steen to levels I’m sure he didn’t know he could reach. Steen had no choice but to tap out, and Cabana was crowned the very first Resistance Pro Heavyweight Champion.
- Billy Corgan enters the ring with the championship belt, and hands over the title to Colt Cabana. The celebration is short lived however as a man jumps the barricade and slides in to the ring. At this point, it’s clear that the man is “The man beast” Rhino who charges at Cabana, only for Colt to move out of the way. Rhino instead gores Billy Corgan who hits the canvas hard and Rhino immediately retreats from the ring. Cabana stares at Rhino who is standing on the outside of the ring until road agent, Raven runs down from the back and chases Rhino away with a chair before sliding in to the ring to check on Billy Corgan.
