I collect them because I actually enjoy their work. Same way I only buy figures of the guys that I like. I've never understood why people think it's "weird, creepy, strange etc" to collect female figures. Shouldn't it be the complete opposite really? Not that I'm saying it is but think about it. Most of us are males buying figures of other males that are wearing not a whole lot. I don't recall being insulting or doing anything other than just asking why. And if the only you can add is "I find it strange that you buy men in underwear" then you must feel insecure. My friends and I who collect wrestling figures have always wondered why some men on here were so diva obsessed and wondered if they saw the same lack of skill we did. I get the rarity factor and completest factor that is perfectly fine with me and I am also not concerned with what anyone spends their hard earned money on I was just asking a wrestling figure related question on a wrestling figure forum board. I also didn't call any of you strange or creepy you mentioned that yourselves. Don't project your insecurities on me . I would ask the same thing to a guy buying Barbies except I wouldn't judge just out of curiosity why someone would buy a toy of the opposite gender. Also I would find it strange and creepy if you are buying these divas because they are half dressed women and not "half dressed" men. Kind of ed up actually if you get your jollies from 6 inch plastic women. I buy the Superstars I like because I enjoy having matches with them I look up to them and can respect their work. Not because lol it ing turns me on or gets me going. Also I have wrestled and still work out everyday and just straight up look up to the wrestlers and all they are capable of and I can relate to them. Can't really relate to a woman in the same respect... The way that you got so super defensive in this post might actually say that you're the one with insecurities. You said you weren't trying to be sexist in your original post, but you are being exactly sexist. Why do you care whether someone collects Diva's or Superstars or GI Joe or Barbie or Batman or Wonder Woman or any kind of figure for that matter? If you're not the one doing it, then don't worry about it. Nobody should have to explain their reasoning for buying figures to you or anyone, really. It's great that you look up to the Superstars of WWE. I do too. I also recognize that the males aren't the only ones with talent. Beth Phoenix and Nattie Neidhart say hello.

I don't consider myself a 'diva collector'... cause I collect nearly every WWE Mattel figure whether a diva or not. I do have all the divas though: I'm not sure there are people who collect strictly diva figures, and not anything else... but I could be wrong.

You asked why people collect them and I answered you why I personally buy them. Which is the exact same thing you said yourself. We both buy figures of certain people because we enjoy them. As for being insecure your way wrong. I'm 28 years old and have been buying figures (including females) since I was a little kid. As I said I enjoy some of the Diva's so I buy the figure in the same way that I would buy any of the guys.

i think its hilarious how the stereotypical jabs are being thrown: "dolls" "half naked men" listen. some people grow up being told that boys play with g.i. joes and action figures, girls play with barbies and girly stuff. back when i had a huge collection, id feel awkward as hell walking to the checkout with a diva figure in hand.as soon as the cashier would swipe the toy my face would flush red. not 'cause i was gonna do anything weird with it, but because thats what i was told as a kid. ill bet the OP grew up the same way. the bottom line is theyre just toys, and to each his own---

No reason to defend something you don't think is wrong.... How many times have I heard people defending pro-wrestling itself? It's not a matter of something being wrong...it's a matter of people standing up for something they are passionate about. But why the Divas you ask? Once again, because we like them. Don't mistake that for us being happy about the extremely poor state of womens wrestling in WWE. But some of us still love women's wrestling & we want to buy action figures of women wrestlers, even if the wrestler themself is crap (Kelly Kelly). Also keep in mind many of us are going to be buying a Michael Cole figure. Suddenly buying Divas isn't so odd! ;D I do not make a effort to convince people that the things I enjoy are good. If you like what I like fine if you don't cool. At the end of the day I am keeping myself entertained and no one else...rare I know someone with self confidence.

I also can understand when someone collects divas because they are a completionist or buy both, but for an adult guy to collect just womens figures is really creepy. nuff said. To be honest, with the exception of Natalya, and Beth, NONE of todays WWE divas Deserve to be in a WWE Ring.

Obviously Mr. WWF and I dont see eye to eye recently, but I really think in all fairness he was just opening up a thread with a valid point/conversation basis and people just took it way too seriously and the wrong way in general. I have over 70 mattels and only 1 diva (Maryse) I only got her because as an avid fan I am forced to watch mediocre divas matches at least once every single televised show so I might as well have a favorite and thats who my favorite was most due to her role as Ted Dibiase eye candy valet. I can understand both sides of the argument but I find it a bit silly that people are attacking others collecting traits and talking about "men in underwear" . As a 28 year old there is a difference in my own mind at least purchasing a wrestler in a store and a diva. I appreciate and in a way idolize a male wrestler and find it acceptable as an adult to purchase it because of how i feel about them as performers. A diva figure to me is different. There is nothing a diva can do in a ring that I couldnt. I dont really appreciate them as athletes so much so to me I wouldnt buy them based on that not based on it being a "boy or girl". Its just my opinion dont get all "youre sexist" on me.
ps whoever said they enjoy divas matches more because they dont have rest holds and take too long. you must not enjoy pro wrestling. divas matches are short because of lack of skill and crowd interest.

Because divas action figures are the only way to see a divas match last over 2 minutes.

I don't get them mainly because when I was younger and collecting [Jakks, obviously] they all looked TERRIBLE. The face scans were utter crap most of the time, and to me, that killed the figures.
Now days, if I see one, I might pick it up. I've seen Natalya a few times, and will probably grab her soon. But truthfully, she's one of the only ones I've seen. When I grab a new Undertaker, I will get Michelle McCool to display them next to one another, though.
It's all about what you enjoy.
