Actually, my city has a gold & jewelry pawn in the town's court square, next to the city's administrative building, and police station. I've only passed it, but I've seen the merch through the window. The place looks like King Solomon's mine. It certainly appears to only deal in high price items. Also, ticket scalping is only illegal (although it's not every state, I think) because the presenting organizations/governments don't get a cut of that money. That's why the law was created. Personally, I don't see anything wrong the buying and reselling of tickets. Hot ones make profit; lesser ones lose money. That's only fair. As for figures, I don't see a difference between reselling a short packed figure for profit and all of the other hobbies where people buy merch to let it's value increase over a short or long period of time. That's the nature of collectibles, not scalping. Just my 2 cents. No one has to agree. Exactly scalping the term only had a negative stigma due to it being aligned with a negative activity. I really don't care if someone sells for higher than they bought ;D my whore point was Chumlee works in a place where they low ball sellers only to turn around and try to sell it at high dollar. If you ever get a chance go visit their pawn shop everything in there is incredibly high priced. I see your "whore" point ;D and while I don't quite agree (although there are shops of every ilk which are dishonest), I understand the POV.

Grim is a hero for doing that.
The OP, eh, it is her money and all but this kind of stuff scares me. I'm not a Cena fan at all but it makes me wonder who is really out there and if this is one of the reasons I can't find any L6 Warriors.

I love how mad people get about Scalpers but what they don't realize or fail to realize is that Ringside, TRU, KMart etc are basically doing the exact same thing. They buy the figures from Mattel, and sell them for a higher price. It's called business. If they are there first and buy them fair and square.. that I'm willing to forgive.
The thing people should be complaining about Scalpers doing is working with people in TRU or wherever they are getting their figures from so that they get first crack at anything and know when anything is going to be in. Instead they complain about them buying massive amounts.
If You want to do something, find out who is the employee at the store helping these guys and then complain to TRU on their corporate website or something like that. Which will have far better results than complaining on a forum.
Complain about the guy letting his friend in 5 minutes early to fill up his shopping cart. I've seen it happen in NY and LI a million times.
When Jakks was running the WWE figures, I'd gone up to Scalpers many a times, and maybe it's because I'm a big guy or intimidating but I've never had a problem getting something from them that they were trying to hoard out. The guy with 57 Matt Strikers in his cart is gonna give you one if you ask him the right way.. but even still come 9:30 or whenever they open he shouldn't of been in the store already buying everything.
