We do look at the wfigs boards for suggestions and wants for exclusive ideas. There's plenty of wrestlers and attires that'd we'd love to do but in the end we have to be practical. We have to be able to sell all of the figures we produce. An exclusive is more collector oriented but realistically has to have some sort of mass appeal beyond collectors in order to move through them all. There's a lot of deserving characters / gimmicks that should have a figure made but at the end of the day its about making a good business decision that gives us the best shot of both making customers happy and being able to sell through an exclusive.

This is a horrible idea. If we got a poll saying that A, B, C, & D were on the table, and D won, everyone who really wanted A, B, & C would complain about that not winning. RSC has a pretty good track record with exclusives, I'm OK with them making the decision.

I just wanna see an exclusive that's not a figure. 18 x 18 ESR anybody? RSC, you can help make it happen!

I'm perfectly fine with the way exclusives are done. Not being a huge part of the process makes finding out what the figure is exciting. And no matter how they go about choosing one, someone or more than one person will ALWAYS not be satisfied.
Just my opinion of course. RSC does a fine job on pretty much all parts, outside not having a damaged package of certain Elite Figures I want so I can save even more money. And if that's my only issue, must mean they are doing something right.

Everyone wins

Seriously......I'd buy a 98 Royal Rumble HBK in a heartbeat.
Same with a HIAC 2 pack of either Undertaker/Mankind or Undertaker/HBK.

I thought it would be a fun interactive way to get everyone on the board involved. What if you guys picked an exclusive that was a good business decision and then let us decide an outfit, or era of the wrestler?

In all seriousness, it would be nice to do something simple like leave it up to a poll but unfortunately it's just not in the cards. Sorry guys. Of course we will always listen to ideas and suggestions, as will Mattel but at the end of the day, those who choose the exclusives on our end, what they say will go. There is just far too much that factors into it, including plenty that I sadly can't go into much detail on.
Trevor is on the money with his explanation of what goes on.

I think mid-90s Elite Shawn Michaels in his heartbreak attire would really well-received by the overwhelming majority of collectors here. Not his early 90s look (yet), his defining '96-98 look that for some reason rarely gets capitalized on. Although I think most of us are gunning for SummerSlam '95 in that kick ass blue/green attire...but really, without Razor, even just a simple HBK in red with his candystripe hearts & entrance garb would be perfect.
There's a high demand for that and purple Undertaker.

I kinda like this idea, but then again you would still have people complaining. I was thinking what if they have the poll thing like Mattel for the next upcoming Ringside Exclusives. The first one with the most votes gets released first and so on. Maybe they should try it as a test run or just try it once.

All of us have different wants. This would turn into a b*tchfest when you realized you didn't get what you wanted.

People complain even when RSC and Mattel decide what exclusive we get. So it really doesn't matter it's going to happen either way.

Tom or Trev, Do the exclusives have to be existing figures or would you guys be able to say release newer debut figures like a One Man Gang, Magnum TA, Demolition Crush who have had protos floating around.
Heck I'd pay 35.00 if your exclusives added build a figure parts for other tough selling stars.
If anything a Sin Cara Azul vs Sin Cara Negro battle pack would be a good choice
