Anyone have any luck getting an NES classic since its release? You would think eventually Nintendo would learn how to distribute their products.

Anyone have any luck getting an NES classic since its release? You would think eventually Nintendo would learn how to distribute their products. Its all a part of their strategy. They limit supply to create a higher demand. If you were on the fence about getting it, Nintendo forced you to "need" it because they told you that you couldn't have it. This will sell out every new shipment from now through at least February. That is saying a lot for a plug and play system with a $60 price tag.

It's a cruel strategy, but it worked. I mean all of these games are accessible on the Nintendo eShop. And I'm sure you can get an actual NES from 1985 cheaper than $250. Hopefully they amp up production.

I have an original NES101 top loader and close to 200 original cartridges and the limited supply almost worked on me. Had Best Buy reward credits that I woulda used if my local store had one.

I think they learned their lesson from GameFreak literally leaking half of the new Pokemon games and people were really salty about the information; and then the datamining after the demo came out; Nintento is going to protect Zelda like it's a wounded child in need of care. And that's very smart.

Managed to score an NES classic after waiting 5 1/2 hours at TRU. Wasn't fun, but I can now relax knowing I got one at retail price and didn't give in to scalper prices. Anyone else get one today?

I don't care enough about the NES Classic to wait in line... Eventually there will likely come a time where I can walk into a store and grab one... if not, I'll get by. I have all the games I would want to play five times over as it is.

I would love to get my hands on a Nintendo Classic. I really hope it does well and encourages or inspires nintendo to release an SNES Classic. There are so many awesome games from the SNES that I'd love to play.
Street Fighter Final Fight Sat Night Slam Masters Sunset Riders Super Mario RPG Final Fantasy 3 and so on.

I knew Nintendo would this up! I literally pre ordered the NES Classic the day it went up fro pre order on Amazon. If I were a Nintendo shareholder I would be majorly pissed that they did not meet the demand this Christmas. If they release a load now they will sell well. But if you had them in stores at Christmas, especially for the asking price. It would have been the kind of thing that many non gamers would have bought for a Christmas present. I honestly do not think it is an exaggeration to say they could have sold a couple of million of these in the run up to Christmas. I am in the process of trying to hack mine. I have downloaded all the games, but the actual tool that I need to use, the Hackchi2 thing will not work on my computer. Most of the videos I have seen have said this software is fine, but my PC is having none of it and will not let me download it onto my computer. Any ideas on why this is happening and how I can get it to work?

Don't worry guys, I just bought an NES Classic at above retail prices after I just bought a Mini Famicom, so expect to see pallets of them the next time you walk into your stores.

Switch presser was amazing. No new Pokémon anything sucks. Mario not being available drop date sucks. But 3rd PARTY GAMING! HALLELUJAH!
