in any case I was hoping for a painted belt as some have gotten the 2 pack with one, and unlucky could also reference the damaged carding. It could, except you said, "The unlucky part comes in the form of an unpainted belt with macho." That's not unlucky it's typical. Since when have basic figures come with painted belts? To be technical, my original post does say "also damaged carding". So it fits. And you clearly are not in the know in regards to this combo pack and the painted belt. Do some research before trying to be so snarky. I tried to let it ride and laugh it off but you keep pushing. Pics have been posted in this thread. Thanks for trying to "be that guy".

Here's the painted 1 for those who haven't seen it. I believe it! You can even tell it's a basic belt because the gold plastic looks dull, and the belt we got with Bret's DM figure was shiny. Still waiting for a blue globe . . .

I've never seen a basic figure with a painted belt. Those of you who got one were lucky. The rest of you got what you should have gotten. The problem with arguing semantics is that nobody cares.

Except you said "unlucky part" and not unlucky parts. Then you capitalized Also, and even though you didn't use a standard punctuation mark to end the sentence, it was clearly and rhetorically a new thought separate from the unluckiness of the belt, which isn't unlucky but the norm. It doesn't matter if others got it. They were lucky. That doesn't make you unlucky. And it is an important distinction because I don't think we want people to assume they should be getting one thing when they really shouldn't. I mean, the whole title of your thread is centered around your "unlucky" shipment. Then you say your unluckiness is the belt. Then you try to backtrack away from it and divert attention to the package, but then you later say you're a loose collector anyway. So what's unlucky about the package you surely damaged further by opening?

I saw 2 Punk/Macho sets at TRU last week and both were painted. Figured this was the norm. Bummer for those who get unpainted sets.

So what's unlucky about the package you surely damaged further by opening? Omfg.... The painted belt is hit or miss. Unpainted is not the norm. More like a toss up from what I've seen here and on ebay. You felt NOBODY could get a painted belt. Which is wrong. You seem to think you know the "norm" in regards to the belt and this pack and you do not. that has been proven here. Your rationale of "when do basic figs get painted belts" showed your ignorance on the topic. I wasnt diverting attention. It was not part of a gradioso scheme to fool wfigs. It was a toungue in cheek response to your over analytical, and super serious diseection of a fig receiving thread regarding being "unlucky" for not getting a belt you perceived impossible to get. A sad attempt at being snarky because you mistakenly thought this set had no possible way of coming with a painted belt. You are WAY over the top. Let's clear the air. I was HOPING to get one that was painted. I did not, so I was one of the unlucky ones to get a non painted belt or perhaps I should phrase it as I wasnt one of the perceived "lucky" ones that have found or received a painted belt.

Just adding to the discussion, I found all painted belt sets at TRU. Haven't seen any unpainted.

Nice stuff despite the packaging. My Punk/Macho Man set will be in tomorrow.

just call mattel customer service...they will always make good if you get something damaged. i always buy from them and they always are helpful I sure hope so. I too am unlucky. They were carelessly packed in the box (I don't actually have them in front of me but my mom took pictures of the damages to show me). Punk and Macho carding is a little bent and has gunky residue on the plastic. Ezekiel is bent much like the Bret and Shawn here, and he also has scratches on the plastic (same kind of thing that happened to me when I ordered E13 from Ringside. but that wasn't too bad and I just took it.) I'm quite disappointed at shop Mattel. And I'm disappointed in what the future holds for my moc figure collecting. If my local stores never update and end skipping series as usual, and the online places sent destroyed stuff, what the hell am I to do? Oh, and I got the unpainted belt, too.
