Team Styles has Styles, Ambrose, Rhodes and Punk I wonder who will join as the final member? Team Bateman has Bateman, Rollins, Roode and now Kevin Owens so I wonder who joins Team Styles? Team AJ has herself, Sofia Cortez and the final 3 divas will be Natalya, Mickie James returning and Naomi while Team Alexa will be herself, Kaitlyn, Sasha Banks, Maxine and Charlotte

January 28th, 2014 - After the airing of the signature WWE intro, a video package was shown to recap yesterday's events on RAW including the WWE Universal Champion, Derrick Bateman, and Paige. At one point in the show, Paige addressed her loss in the Royal Rumble match, speaking normally for the first time as a Wyatt Family member. "Who am I? I'm Paige," she declared ahead of her main event bout against Bateman. The 2014 Royal Rumble match winner came out victorious against 'The Anti-Diva' and plotted to inflict further damage until Bray Wyatt appeared in the ring. Bateman exited the scene, leaving Wyatt to shock the WWE Universe by attacking Paige himself. After delivering two Sister Abgails to Paige, Wyatt rolled her into the same casket that she was trapped inside of at Survivor Series. 'The Eater of Worlds' cried while pressing his face against the surface of the casket, carrying out his attack on -in his mind - his sister for no clear reason.
The video concluded with The Wyatt Family's signature, leading into SmackDown Live. After the signature repeated, Bray Wyatt was shown in the center of the ring with Paige's casket behind him. A single spotlight shined down onto Wyatt, who was pelted with boos from the fans in Toledo, Ohio. Wyatt kept his head down as he spoke into the microphone. "I asked my family not to be here with me because this is something that I needed to confront on my own. After all this time... All this searching... The truth is finally creeping its way towards me. The fate of Abigail is one that I've resented and despised ever since the day she left us, but no longer can I pretend that she's somewhere out there. Abigail... Is.... Dead," Wyatt said, removing his hood as he stared at the hard camera. "What hurts more than knowing for a fact that she's gone is discovering that over the last couple of months, I made way for a fallacy! I believed that she was not only still alive, but standing right in front of me! I opened this casket and what I saw staring back at me... I thought I was finally free of all agony! This demoness made me look like a fool! A liar! Everything that I've ever spoken out against, I became because of her! Paige deceived me! That demoness who you all worship took on the spirit of my sister and gave me false hope that I could once again be happy! I gave her the keys to the kingdom and told her to take not just the world, but the universe for herself. She had that opportunity on Sunday, and what happened? I looked into this ring and I didn't see my sister fighting for my family! I saw the horrendous monster fighting for all of you! She was fueled by your despicable blessings and in turn, she and all of you shattered whatever bit of a heart I thought I found inside of me! The image of my sister was washed away and I couldn't bear to look at Paige for one more second! The monster is tucked away once again, only this time, she's gone forever. Never again will any of you people see Paige because I took it upon myself to do what I should've done a long time ago and I vanquished her from existence! You people took something from me, so I took something from you. Abigail is gone... But so is your precious Paige."
While Bray Wyatt stood on his knees and fought back tears, the entrance music Derrick Bateman sounded to - somehow- an even more negative reception than the one Wyatt received. The WWE Universal Champion was dressed for the occasion, donning an all-black suit, the only bit of color to his wardrobe being the gold plates of his new title. Bateman held dead roses in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, the Universal Champion soon stepping into the ring. He placed the roses on top of the casket before taking a microphone, taking a few second to look at his wine glass with a face of uncertainty. "... I was going to pour one out for Paige, but that'd be a waste of a perfectly good drink," Bateman said before taking a sip of the wine, also resting it on the casket's surface. "I'm very sorry for your loss, Bray. I don't even mean that sarcastically. Having something be taken away from you, I can relate to that. You lost your sister, I lost my job. But now, I have everything that I've ever wanted. I'm standing here today as the first-ever and longest-reigning WWE Universal Champion in history, and I accomplished that by being as cold-hearted and calculating as possible. The same aggression that I display, I saw in you last night on RAW when you had to face reality and absolutely destroy Paige. That had to have been the hardest thing you've ever done, and I can only imagine how badly you want to unleash all of your anger on whoever steps in your path. Look at it like this, Bray. I stopped Paige form becoming Universal Champion at the Royal Rumble. That monster who pretended to be your sister could have been the most powerful person in the WWE had it not been for me. I did you a favor, so now, I'm asking you to do one for me. I've got one spot left on my WarGames team. Think about all of the people you'd be able to demolish the same way you did Paige. AJ Styles. Dean Ambrose. I know you still want revenge against CM Punk, and why not beat Cody Rhodes for old times' sake? Help me, help you." Bateman allowed Wyatt a second to think about the offer as he finished his wine before extending his hand out. "It's not everyday that Bray Wyatt is the one making deals with the devil," Wyatt stated before accepting Bateman's handshake in front of Paige's casket. "Derrick Bateman and Bray Wyatt are on the same team. You couldn't think of a more sinister pairing," Corey Graves said, Mauro Ranallo reminding him that when factoring in Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode, Team Bateman might be unstoppable in WarGames.
DANIEL BRYAN DEF. BARON CORBIN, ADAM COLE & ADRIAN NEVILLE IN A FATAL FOUR WAY ELIMINATION MATCH: The second and last phase of the process to determine who will challenge The Miz at Battleground for the United States Championship. The first elimination came after Adrian Neville springboarded off of the top rope with the intention of striking Adam Cole. However, Cole moved, allowing Neville to be caught by Baron Corbin for the End of Days! Corbin covered Neville, getting him out of the equation. From there, Corbin and Cole formed a temporary alliance for the purpose of taking out the competitor who had the WWE Universe firmly behind him, Daniel Bryan. Corbin held Bryan up for a Superkick from Cole, but Bryan was able to avoid it. Cole accidentally caught Corbin with the Superkick before turning around and being met with the Busaiku Knee! Bryan managed to eliminate Cole, leaving Corbin and himself as the only two superstars remaining. After Bryan delivered three corner Dropkicks to Corbin, he used the Toledo crowd's energy to help set up the Busaiku Knee. When Bryan was in motion for the knee strike, Corbin countered it into Deep Six! 'The Lone Wolf' got the cover, but somehow, Bryan was able to get a shoulder up. Corbin brought Bryan up to his feet for the End of Days, but Bryan was able to turn it into an inside cradle. Corbin narrowly kicked out, getting to his feet and charging towards Bryan. Corbin inadvertently rammed his own chest into the top turnbuckle, stunning him and giving Bryan the perfect opening to finally hit the Busaiku Knee! Bryan pinned Corbin to eliminate him and seize the victory. The WWE Universe erupted for Bryan's win, joining him in a massive "Yes!" chant to celebrate the fact that he now has one more opportunity at The Miz for the United States Championship. 'The Awesome One' was able to defeat Bryan two nights ago at the Royal Rumble, but in a one-on-one encounter at Battleground, will The Miz's reign come to an end the hands of one of WWE's most captivating superstars?
Elsewhere in the Huntington Center, Kevin Owens was shown arriving, showing his face for the first time since sending Randy Orton to the hospital last night on RAW. Byron Saxton nervously approached Owens, asking how he ended up as the fourth member of Team Bateman at Battleground. "He saw what I did to Randy Orton on RAW yesterday and said, 'That's the kind of person I want fighting on my team.' Derrick's somebody who can appreciate a competitor who does anything and everything to get his way. It takes a scumbag to know one, I suppose," Owens said.
SAMOA JOE DEF. HEATH SLATER: Competing in his third official WWE match, Samoa Joe continued to make a statement that 'The Samoan Submission Machine' had finally arrived, using Heath Slater tonight for that purpose. Slater started the match off by striking Joe repeatedly, having zero effect on him. He then Dropkicked Joe, who responded by taking Slater out with a Clothesline. Joe eventually planted Slater with a Muscle Buster before applying the Coquina Clutch, 'The One Man Band' passing out. Post-match, Joe took a microphone and reminded the WWE Universe that last night on RAW, he made it clear that his first short-term goal in WWE was to hand Braun Strowman his first loss. "I've given Strowman time to answer my challenge and that punk still hasn't responded. Strowman, you have until next Monday to meet me in this ring and face me like a man. Otherwise, I'll find you myself." Joe exited the ring to a great response from the WWE Universe, 'The Samoan Submission Machine' continuing to put Strowman on notice.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley was standing by with the duo of Chris Jericho and Christian. The two stepped into the picture, Jericho's appearance changing drastically from previously as he sported a vest with no shirt underneath, and a scarf on top of that. Cathy asked the two how they plan to, in their words, take out the 'New Era'? "Renee," Jericho said, Cathy mouthing that she wasn't Renee Young. "All Christian and I have to do is exactly what we've been doing since we arrived here. If we continue to dominate, this 'New Era' won't go anywhere. They would all be lucky to accomplish even a fraction of what we have. Between us, you have 13 Intercontinental Championships, 14 Tag Team Championships and 9 World Championships. We've reached the mountaintop before as tag team partners and enemies. Now, we're taking our spots back," Jericho said before Christian gave his input. "Tyson Kidd is the start of this whole 'Take out the New Era' campaign we've started. This isn't just because he eliminated us from the Royal Rumble. More than anything else, it's because Tyson Kidd is a selfish, arrogant, disrespectful and entitled brat who doesn't deserve to be able to call himself a Canadian. Even you're a better Canadian than he is, Renee," said Christian, Cathy once again having to remind the duo that she's not Renee. "Whatever. Our point is that Tyson Kidd better learn his place in this business before he gets... It," Jericho said, pointing his finger towards Cathy. "... Before he gets what?" Cathy asked. "... IT!" Jericho shouted, he and Christian proceeding to exit the picture.
At this time, a video package was shown for the upcoming Women's Championship match between AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss, using the theme song from their Royal Rumble encounter, "Broken Generation" by Of Mice & Men. Highlighting their match two nights ago through still images, the WWE Universe was shown once again how AJ managed to get Alexa disqualified to hold onto her title. As a result of the controversial outcome, Alexa receives a rematch for the Women's Championship here tonight.
ALEXA BLISS DEF. AJ LEE VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN A WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Before they captain WarGames teams at Battleground on February 23rd, AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss met in a Royal Rumble rematch for the WWE Women's Championship. When Alexa attempted Twisted Bliss, AJ was able to get her knees up. Alexa used the ropes to help herself up before dodging a Spinning Heel Kick from AJ. The official inadvertently received it, Alexa grabbing AJ by her hair and slamming her down onto the canvas. With the official down temporarily, Alexa saw her opportunity to extract revenge for what happened to her at the Royal Rumble. Alexa headed to ringside and grabbed the Women's Championship, teasing hitting AJ with it. As the official was getting back up, Alexa tossed the championship over to AJ before falling to the mat. Right before the official turned around, AJ threw the title to her side and rested on the canvas as well. The official had no clue what happened as all he saw was both superstars pretending to be incapacitated. He took the Women's Title and placed it on the ring apron, Alexa springing to her feet. "Are you serious?!? She hit me!!" Alexa screamed at the official before being rolled up from behind. Alexa was able to kick out, AJ following up by taking the Women's Championship and striking Alexa with it in front of the referee. The bell was called for, AJ leaving the ring with her title. "There. You won. Now get out my life" AJ said as she was heading up the entrance ramp. "The winner of this bout as a result of a disqualification... Alexa Bliss!" Justin Roberts said, a dazed Alexa getting to her feet and asking where 'her' title was. "However, still your WWE Women's Champion, AJ Lee!" At that moment, Alexa realized that the stipulation from the Royal Rumble didn't apply to tonight. This past Sunday, she would have been crowned the new Women's Champion, but not in this scenario. Alexa sat against the turnbuckles, holding her head for two reasons. She was still feeling the effects of the shot from the center plate, and she couldn't believe that AJ would be leaving a match of theirs for the second time as Women's Champion without actually defeating her.
Backstage, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Kurt Angle were shown in their office, discussing the finish to the Women's Championship match. "So, now what?" Angle asked. "We'll address this at a later date. Those two still have WarGames coming up, so I'm not sure if we should wait until after..." Shane stated before a trombone could be heard blaring. The New Day entered the picture, Xavier Woods asking why the SmackDown Live staff requested to see them. "Oh, I know!" Big E said excitedly before continuing. "They want to congratulate us before we become WWE Tag Team Champions next Monday!" Shane told New Day that while he does wish them luck in Match 6 next week, that's not why he called them to his and Angle's office. "What we've noticed throughout the entire Best of Seven Series is that whenever The Alpha Wolves are close to victory, a certain trombone player is always there to intervene," Angle said, Woods responding with, "First of all, she has a name, mind you. Secondly, I prefer the term 'trombone extraordinaire.'" "Well, here's another phrase you can call yourself: Eddie Edwards' opponent tonight. On top of that, both Kofi and Big E are banned from ringside," Shane said, which outraged The New Day. "I want a legit check on those medals!" Kofi yelled at Angle while the trio left the office.
In the Huntington Center, the lights shut as the voice of Matt Hardy could be heard over the PA system. "WWE Universe! I knew you'd come!" he said before the piano remix of "Live for the Moment" sounded. Hardy made his way out to the stage with the Hardcore Championship strapped around his waist, the fans giving him a mixed reception. "Ahahaha yes!" he uttered as he walked down to the ring before taking a microphone. "At long last, my broken brilliance has guided me to the land that I have called 'home' in a previous life. However, it is quite unfortunate that upon my arrival, I am not greeted with a hero's welcome! Where are the festivities?! The pomp and circumstance?! The ordinary person would look at all of this and assume that I am obsolete! You people with your disservice to the seven deities who have gifted you all with my broken brilliance! Every single one of you thought that the gentleman with the outrageous hair and lexicon would upstage me this past Sunday, didn't you?! And look at what happened! Enzo Amore's reign as Hardcore Champion was DELETED by me! And now, I stand before you all as the NEW Champion of the Hardcore! Isn't that exquisite?!" The fans' boos for Hardy soon turned to cheers when Enzo and Cass' music sounded. Big Cass made his way out to the stage, Enzo absent tonight. "Because of you, you 'broken' freak, 'Zo isn't medically cleared to be here. That's good news, but there's also some bad news because right now, you have a pissed off, seven foot tall ass-kicker walking towards you. And right about now, I'M going to 'delete' YOUR Hardcore Title reign!" When Cass stepped into the ring, Hardy exited it. 'The Broken One' climbed over the barricade before telling Cass that the seven deities do not approve of the 24/7 rule that Enzo had implemented. "The Hardcore Championship will only be defended when the deities deem it appropriate," Hardy said, Cass responding by telling him that he doesn't care about what the seven deities say about anything. "24/7 rule or not, Hardy, Enzo and I will prove to everybody that there's only ONE WORD to describe you and I'm gonna spell! It! Out for you. S! A! W! F! T!" Cass held the microphone up, allowing the WWE Universe to finish the catchphrase for him. "Don't butcher the English language!" Hardy screamed ironically towards Cass. Hardy and his seven deities claimed the Hardcore Championship at the Royal Rumble, but sooner or later, 'The Broken One' will have his day in the ring with Enzo and Cass.
WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPION EDDIE EDWARDS W/ DAVEY RICHARDS DEF. XAVIER WOODS: Before Match 6 in the Best of Seven Series takes place on Monday, The Alpha Wolves had the opportunity to ensure that Xavier Woods doesn't play a role on Monday like he has time and time again in the past. With no other New Day members at ringside, Woods failed as Eddie Edwards applied a Boston Crab. "Don't look! Shield your eyes!" Woods shouted to Francesca, who was resting on the announce table at ringside. Reminder that Francesca is literally just a trombone and couldn't feel any empathy. Woods soon submitted, The Alpha Wolves gaining momentum as they look to even the series at three wins a piece next Monday on RAW.
Backstage, Seth Rollins was shown walking down a corridor for the biggest match of his career. Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode and the WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman all followed him before Rollins looked to his side with a huge smile on his face. "You made it!" Rollins said as Triple H stepped into the frame. "You didn't think I'd miss your becoming of WWE Champion, did you?" Hunter said as he greeted Rollins. Hunter would then lock eyes with Bateman, the person who he said 'failed him' as a member of The Committee months ago. "... You proved me wrong. Congratulations," Hunter said before extending his hand to Bateman. The Universal Champion grinned as he himself couldn't believe that 'The King of Kings' of all people was admitting that he was wrong about him. "Now, let's go add another championship to this team," Hunter said before he and Team Bateman continued on. Transitioning to another camera, WWE Champion AJ Styles was shown heading towards the ring with Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose and the Intercontinental Champion CM Punk by his side. Styles defends the WWE Championship against Rollins, next on SmackDown Live!
AJ STYLES W/ INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION CM PUNK, CODY RHODES & DEAN AMBROSE DEF. SETH ROLLINS W/ WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION DERRICK BATEMAN, BOBBY ROODE, KEVIN OWENS & TRIPLE H TO RETAIN THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: One of the biggest main events in the history of SmackDown as AJ Styles put the WWE Championship on the line against the man that he did not pin or submit in the Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins. All members of Team Styles and Team Bateman, minus Bray Wyatt, watched from ringside. At one point, Triple H attempted to get involved, but Styles took him out with a Pele Kick. Team Styles and Team Bateman then stepped onto the ring apron, all of them understanding that if somebody made a move, the only result would be a massive brawl. Rollins went for the Curb Stomp, but Styles was able to catch him in position for the Styles Clash! 'The Phenomenal One' successfully hit the maneuver, turning Rollins over to get the victory.
When the bell sounded to signal AJ Styles' successful title defense, he was ambushed by Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens and the WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman. That lead to Cody Rhodes, Dean Ambrose and Intercontinental Champion CM Punk getting involved to even the odds. Both WarGames teams collided in a chaotic scene until the signature of The Wyatt Family hit. When the lights came back on, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan were shown in the ring! The three Wyatt Family members joined Team Bateman, leaving Team Styles at a seven-on-four disadvantage. Punk, Rhodes and Ambrose were all laid out before Bateman picked Styles up, delivering the One Percenter to him. "Real! Heavyweight! Champion!" Bateman shouted to the WWE Universe as he raised his title in the air for the masses to see. Bateman, Wyatt, Rollins, Owens, Roode, Harper and Rowan stood tall over Team Styles, asserting their dominance ahead of the WarGames match at Battleground.
*Undertaker's entrance music hits*
Without any doubt, the loudest ovation of 2014 thus far came from the fans in Toledo at the sound of the iconic, ominous gong sound. The lights in the Huntington Center shut for a few seconds. When they came back on, The Undertaker was standing in the center of the ring! "Oh! My! God! The Undertaker is here!" Mauro Ranallo shouted over the fans that were losing their minds. Team Bateman and The Wyatt Family backed into a corner, all of them frozen in place. Bray Wyatt repeatedly shook his head, 'The Eater of Worlds' perhaps more stunned than anyone else since it was him who buried Undertaker alive at Extreme Rules last year. Everyone was either too shocked to move, or too afraid to try to go toe-to-toe with 'The Phenom.' Luke Harper then charged towards Undertaker, who caught him with a Big Boot! Erick Rowan was then hit with an uppercut from Undertaker before Bateman, Wyatt, Rollins, Owens and Roode all left the ring and ran up to the stage. Undertaker planted Harper with a Chokeslam before delivering one to Rowan as well. "This is unbelievable! The dead has risen on SmackDown Live!" Corey Graves exclaimed before Undertaker noticed Triple H, who hadn't gotten up since receiving a Pele Kick, stirred to his feet in the ring. Hunter, who had no clue Undertaker was even there, turned around and found himself in position for a Tombstone! Undertaker spiked 'The Game' onto his head before getting back to his feet. By that point, all members of Team Styles had gotten up and were in as much disbelief as anybody else at the fact that The Undertaker made the save for them. Undertaker glanced over at Styles, Punk, Ambrose and Rhodes, all four clueless as to why he was there. Undertaker would then turn towards Team Bateman before rolling his eyes back and giving them the throat slit taunt. Ranallo then made the call on commentary that confirmed what the WWE Universe speculated at that point. "The Undertaker is back and he's the final member of Team Styles!"

- I am marking out...The Undertaker makes his return such a shocking return what a shocker...The Undertaker I am so damn excited and The Undertaker returns to join Team Styles to face Team Bateman...Undertaker as the 5th and final member of Team Bateman this return probably has to be the most unexpected return I have ever seen in this diary because no one expected it and Taker just cleaning house single-handedly and then Tombstoning Triple H for good measure...but you can't get any better than The Dead Man joining Team Styles but Wyatt on Team Bateman as the 5th and final member for Team Bateman I mean the teams look pretty solid to say the least
- AJ Styles the WWE Champion still retains his WWE Championship against Seth Rollins I mean all be it with his whole team at ringside and Rollins having his whole team at ringside...I mean AJ Styles proving once again that he is not only a fighting champion but that it doesn't matter what the odds are he finds a way to win but the question is is who will AJ Styles defend that title against at WrestleMania XXX in the main event? Perhaps a 20 Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal to determine who will face AJ Styles for the WWE Championship the winner of that Battle Royal earning a championship match at WrestleMania XXX...I think that is a great way to determine the next #1 Contender for the WWE Championship
- Triple H shaking hands with Bateman the WWE Universal Champion I thought that that could or never would happen especially given their past in The Committee
- Matt Hardy as the new WWE Hardcore Champion returning to Smackdown Live for the first time in like 4 years with his newly won title and then being interrupted by none other than Enzo Amore's tag team partner Big Cass of all people so what is Cass going to do? Is he seriously going to challenge Broken Matt Hardy for the WWE Hardcore Championship? If he is then it is obvious that that match will happen at WWE Battleground but then Enzo he has a rematch for the title though so how is that going to work?
- AJ Lee still the WWE Women's Champion all be it by DQ...Alexa Bliss wins the match but not the title she wins by DQ but titles can't change hands on a DQ I wonder if that was AJ's plan all along? To get Alexa to get herself DQed well if that was the plan Alexa fell right into the trap I mean back at the WWE Royal Rumble PPV AJ Lee lies, cheats and steals to retain her title and then here she does it again more or less but is AJ Lee that afraid of Alexa Bliss? But then again these 2 are going to go at it at Battleground but with their teams in WarGames so it only begs the question of who joins their respective teams?
- Seeing Jericho and Christian reunite after all these years I admit I am really surprised but happy at the same time to see these guys as a team again but I wonder how long it will really last before one turns on the other?
- Samoa Joe in his first WWE singles match here on Smackdown Live he beats Heath Slater...he didn't just beat Heath Slater he dominated him right from the jump but it was more or less a message he was trying to send to Braun Strowman that message being anything you can do I can do better but you can bet Braun was watching this match but either way these 2 monsters will go at it and if it does happen it will happen no doubt at WWE Battleground
- Daniel Bryan winning the Fatal 4 Way beating Corbin, Cole w/Lana and Neville to become #1 Contender for the WWE United States Championship...that means he gets another shot at the title I mean I guess I can't say that I am surprised never mind the fact that Bryan back at the PPV he was the one that was pinned in that match and not Aries but yet Bryan gets another opportunity but if he has Miz at WWE Battleground I wonder if Aries won't just cost Bryan the title yet again?

January 29th, 2014 - Kicking off NXT was the arrival of The Canadian Ninjas, Portia Perez needing crutches after suffering an injury over the weekend at a live event in Largo. With her tag team partner, Nicole Matthews, by her side, Portia had to inform the NXT Universe that the start of her tenure on the brand would be postponed. "I knew what I was getting myself into by becoming a professional wrestler, and sometimes, this is the price you pay," Portia said. She then stated that while she's unsure of exactly how long she'll be sidelined, it doesn't change the fact that she and Nicole are going to change the entire complexion of the NXT women's division. After Portia handed her microphone off to Nicole, the duo was interrupted by Femme Fatales. Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and the newest member of the now-threepiece, Emma. The Full Sail audience bombarded the three of them with boos, Emma starting off by saying that she didn't have to explain her actions last week. "Bayley has what I want. It's that simple," she said before Peyton asked Portia why she didn't mention exactly who it was that injured her in Largo? "There's no shame in telling these people that it was the Femme Fatales who did this to you. The most dominant group in NXT history put you on the shelf and we cannot wait to do the same to Bayley in three weeks at TakeOver: R-Evolution." Nicole walked towards Peyton, which prompted Billie to step in front of her best friend. "Go ahead. Try us, Nicole," Billie threatened, The Canadian Ninjas not wanting to back down from Femme Fatales, but considering Portia's condition, it wouldn't have been a wise decision to stay in the ring. Portia and Nicole turned around to leave, but when they did so, Femme Fatales attacked them. Billie and Peyton stomped away on Nicole while Emma struck Portia with a forearm before taking her crutch and using it on her injured leg. Billie and Peyton held Nicole down by her arms and legs, allowing Emma to punish her with the crutch as well. Peyton then grabbed Nicole by her hair, bringing her back up for the purpose of sending her face into the knee of Billie. Emma, Billie and Peyton stood tall over The Canadian Ninjas, Emma motioning for the NXT Women's Championship that she'll be looking to reclaim in three weeks at TakeOver: R-Evolution.
NXT CHAMPION SAMI ZAYN VS. PENTAGON W/ MAXINE ENDED IN A DOUBLE COUNT-OUT: A first time-ever match-up here as the NXT Champion Sami Zayn battled the superstar who has been referred to as the 'dark horse' of the Fatal Four Way match at TakeOver, Pentagon. After Zayn took Pentagon out with a Tope Con Hilo, the two of them continued to brawl at ringside, leading to the double count-out. Zayn attempted to deliver an Exploder Suplex onto the ramp, but Pentagon countered it and planted Zayn onto the top of his head with a DDT. Pentagon then locked Zayn's arms in place, threatening to snap the NXT Champion's bones. Maxine took a microphone and spoke to the vulnerable Zayn, telling him that if Pentagon wanted to, he would end his career right there and then. "You're lucky that our master wants you there in three weeks when Pentagon takes your championship at TakeOver. That same fear of look in your eyes right now will be there on February 19th when the man with zero fear eviscerates you, Hideo Itami and Finn Balor." Pentagon released his grip on Zayn's arm, standing over the champion as Maxine handed him her microphone. "¡Usted está mirando al campeón siguiente de NXT porque yo soy Pentágon! Cero! Miedo!"
A promo aired for No Way Jose, a festive superstar who is looking to energize Full Sail University with his infectious personality and charisma. No Way Jose arrives in two weeks on NXT.
KYLE O'REILLY DEF. MURPHY W/ BLAKE: Still looking to build his stock after losing to Adam Cole at TakeOver: Forever, Kyle O'Reilly was able to force Murphy to submit to the Guillotine Choke. While O'Reilly was heading up the stage, he was ambushed from behind by Tye Dillinger. Dillinger, who had an encounter with O'Reilly last week, didn't take too kindly to the fact that O'Reilly mocked his 'Perfect 10' moniker. Despite Dillinger's despicable act, the NXT Universe started rallying behind him as a result of his 'Ten' catchphrase catching on during the live event circuit. Dillinger repeatedly smashed O'Reilly's head against the titantron, the fans in Full Sail shouting "Ten!" with every hit. Officials soon arrived to both restrain Dillinger and tend to O'Reilly. While Dillinger backed away, he repeatedly showed ten fingers to the incapacitated O'Reilly to make it clear that he means it when he says that he's the 'Perfect 10.'
Prior to the start of the main event, a graphic was shown for a huge tag team match taking place next week. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce take on the duo of Becky Lynch and the NXT Women's Champion, Bayley.
HIDEO ITAMI DEF. FINN BALOR: A rematch from WWE/NXT Unison back in September as the rivalry between Finn Balor and Hideo Itami was reignited just three weeks before the Fatal Four Way match for the NXT Championship at TakeOver: R-Evolution. For a little over twenty minutes, Balor and Itami engaged in one of the most exciting bouts that Full Sail University had ever held up that point. Throughout the match, Itami worked over the left ankle of Balor to try to remove Coup De Grace from his arsenal. Later on, Balor picked up momentum and Dropkicked Itami into a corner, having to limp up to the top rope. When Balor descended, Itami moved out of harm's way. Balor planted both of his feet onto the canvas, all of his weight being forced onto his bad ankle. Itami capitalized and hoisted Balor onto his shoulders for the Burning Hammer. Itami covered Balor and got the three count that left the NXT Universe in silence. "That was Finn Balor's first pinfall loss in NXT! Balor went eight months undefeated until just now when Hideo Itami shocked the world!" Rob Naylor said on commentary while Itami celebrated the biggest victory of his NXT tenure. Balor had to be assisted up the entrance ramp by the official and ringside doctor, not wanting to look back at the man who snapped his undefeated streak. For the first time ever, Balor has been defeated and all of a sudden, Itami has to be seen as the favorite to leave TakeOver: R-Evolution with the NXT Championship.

- Hideo Itami with the biggest win of his NXT career...I wonder where Itami's agent Paul Heyman was? Isn't Itami still a Paul Heyman Guy? But Itami winning without Heyman there beating Finn Balor ending Balor's undefeated streak legitimizes Itami not only as a Heyman Guy but legitimizes him as a main event level guy in NXT but Itami he probably has the most momentum heading into NXT: TakeOver R-Volution considering Zayn has to defend his title not only against him but against Balor and against Pentagon in a Fatal 4-Way...Itami could be my pick to walk out NXT Champion
- Tye Dillinger with him attacking O'Reilly I wonder if that was a double turn with O'Reilly turning heel and Dillinger turning babyface because of this "Perfect 10" gimmick and the crowd chanting it despite Dillinger being a heel...but with O'Reilly beating Murphy then he definitely is gaining momentum too heading into NXT: TakeOver R-Volution
- No Way Jose debuting I can't wait
- But I wonder where is The Queen of PPV Charlotte Flair? Why hasn't Charlotte debuted in NXT yet?

Undertaker vs Bateman now this is a definite main event that screams main event with the newly returned Undertaker facing off against the WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman...Bateman facing off against the man who is undefeated at WrestleMania...Bateman going up against the man who is 21-0 at WrestleMania this is a match I know I definitely can't wait to see on RAW this Monday but I wonder if any members of Team Bateman won't try to interfere in this match? Or if any members of Team Styles won't try to interfere in this match?

February 3rd, 2014 (Part 1) - After the signature WWE intro, a video package was shown to recap the events of last Tuesday’s SmackDown Live special. After decimating Paige the night before on RAW, Bray Wyatt held a ‘funeral’ for not only Paige, but also his dream of one day being reunited with Sister Abigail. WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman was able to recruit Wyatt as the final member of his WarGames, citing his victory over Paige in the Royal Rumble match as something that Wyatt needed to pay him back for. Later that evening, AJ Styles overcame Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Championship. Post-match, Team Bateman and The Wyatt Family outnumbered Team Styles until The Undertaker made a shocking return, ‘The Deadman’ showing himself for the first time since being buried alive by Wyatt at Extreme Rules almost a year ago. Undertaker took out Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Triple H before making it clear to Team Bateman that allegiance lied with Team Styles at Battleground.
Cutting to footage shot earlier in the day, WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman was shown walking into the arena when he was approached by Renee Young, who asked him for any comments regarding AJ Styles' absence here tonight. "Yeah, I heard on my way over here that the so-called 'Phenomenal One' is being evaluated right now for a potential back injury. Instead of commenting on that, what I'd prefer is to clear the air right now. Styles isn't injured. He's just trying to find any exit that he can from the WarGames match because he knows that he and his team stand no chance against myself and the superstars that are going to fight alongside me at Battleground. Nobody on his team can save him. Not CM Punk. Not Cody Rhodes. Not Dean Ambrose. Not even The Undertaker scares me, okay? Now that I'm the real Heavyweight Champion, Styles realizes his place in this company as a very distant number two. I guess you could say.... AJ Styles doesn't want none," Bateman said with a smirk on his face. When he tried leaving, Renee presented him with one more question. This time about Paige. "Are you at all concerned with the possibility of Paige showing up at some point to get revenge against you and Bray Wyatt?" Confidently, Bateman answered with "no." "Why would I be worried about some overly-emotional brat coming after me? I beat Paige at the Royal Rumble to become the first-ever Universal Champion. I beat her again on RAW and then Bray Wyatt killed her. Or... At least that's what I... Think he did? Whatever it was that happened to Paige, she's not coming back. She's in the past and right now, you're looking at the present and future of professional wrestling." When Bateman turned around, he happened to bump into one of his five opponents at Battleground, Cody Rhodes. "Hey, aren't you that guy I eliminated in the Royal Rumble?" Bateman said to Rhodes, laughing to himself before proceeding. "... We'll see what happens in WarGames, jackass," said Rhodes.
In the same shot, Cody Rhodes made his way towards the locker room area when he was stopped by the Intercontinental Champion CM Punk. “Great leader. Really glad I sided with him,” Punk said sarcastically, referring to the fact that Styles was currently being evaluated by doctors for an injury he sustained at the Royal Rumble and fought through both on RAW and SmackDown last week. “You don’t think I’m upset about this, too? All of Team Bateman is here and we’re down one member,” Rhodes said before Punk cut him off. “He’s not just a member. He’s supposed to be our captain. How do I even know that he’s really with doctors right now? I think he’s sitting at home, taking a vacation while leaving us here to deal with Bateman and his goons. I’ve known AJ Styles far longer than you have. This is the kind of person he is. He’s a selfish piece of crap who I should’ve never agreed to fight with at Battleground.” Rhodes responded to Punk by saying that he knows exactly what kind of a person Styles is. “But you should also know better than anybody else that Styles always does everything he can to get the last laugh. Maybe he’s with doctors, or maybe he’s not. But, he will be at Battleground. The ONLY thing I trust him on is fighting against Team Bateman at Battleground. If he’s going to stab us in the back, he won’t do it until after WarGames and we’ll see it coming. We don’t have to respect him and we both know that we don’t. We just have to go to war with him. The same way you were a team player when you gave me your WWE Title opportunity last year, be a team player for Styles and the rest of us.” Punk glared at Cody for a bit, taking in everything that he said about being a team player. “… Stop trying to see the good in everyone because it doesn’t exist in some people.” Punk told Cody before exiting the team, the two needing to get back on the same page before their Tag Team match tonight against Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode.
Cutting to the arena, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Dario Cueto were shown in the ring, the fans showering both of them with boos. Stephanie said that while Shane McMahon and Kurt Angle had their ‘fun’ last week on SmackDown Live, they failed to act as genuine leaders when a match that they made official ended in controversy. “This is where I have to come into the picture and clean up my brother’s mess yet again,” Stephanie said before Dario pulled her microphone away from her. “WE have to clean up your brother’s mess. So right now, we ask that AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss come down to this ring.” After a few seconds of silence, AJ’s theme sounded to a thunderous ovation from the WWE Universe. The WWE Women’s Champion skipped down to the ring, waiting for the arrival of the woman who she managed to, quite frankly, evade twice last week. When Alexa's music sounded, the fans in Omaha told 'The Wicked Witch of WWE' exactly how they felt about her. Alexa stepped into the ring, not allowing Stephanie or Dario the time to explain exactly why she and AJ were summoned. "A rematch because our last match ended in controversy. That's what you're going to tell me, isn't it?" she asked, Stephanie confirming a rematch being scheduled for tonight. Despite the news that should've pleased her, Alexa sported one of her usual facial expressions of disdain. "This exact same thing happened last week. Authority figures call us out, a rematch is made and then this bitch weasels her way out of it." AJ smiled at Alexa before taking a microphone of her own, telling Alexa that she was happy to see her true colors finally showing. "I anger you, don't I? I mean, I know that if I failed to win this beautiful, gorgeous championship in back-to-back attempts, I'd want to do something about it." "Shut up! Please, just shut up!" Alexa shouted in AJ's face, finally losing her composure in front of the world. "I have never, EVER hated anybody like I hate you, AJ! You claim to be this fighting champion who proves each and every night that she belongs here, yet when I step up to the plate, you run away! Every! Single! Time! You ALWAYS find a way out and I'm sick of it! Just admit to these people that you're afraid of me! Admit that you know you can't beat me! That's why at the Royal Rumble and on SmackDown Live, you cheated to leave with the WWE Women's Title!" AJ responded to Alexa by telling her outburst is exactly what she wanted from her. "You understand the pain that I felt when people told me that I couldn't beat Paige last year! I had to go to lengths that I never thought I would just to become champion, and 'Little Miss Bliss,' it's your turn to let the monster that is the Women's Championship consume you. You think that this is your division? Then step into my world and make it yours! I can personally guarantee you that I won't be able to 'run away' in our match tonight because I finally have you right where I want you. You're damaged. You're losing your sanity. I'm not a fan of this word, but Alexa... You're finally crazy like me. So let all of your frustrations out. Face me tonight in a match with no disqualifications. No count-outs. No rules... Except for one. You can only lose if you can't get back up..." The WWE Universe caught on to what AJ was proposing, and so, too, did Stephanie. "No... No. This is not going to happen!" Stephanie shouted before AJ told Alexa what their match tonight would be. "You and me... One more time for the Women's Championship... Last Diva Standing!" The WWE Universe erupted for AJ's proposal, the Women's Champion suggesting the third Last Diva Standing match in history take place tonight. For perhaps the first time ever, Alexa's facial expression was blank. She was frozen still with her eyes locked onto AJ, everything else around her practically nonexistent. She couldn't hear the crowd chant "Yes!" repeatedly, nor could she hear Stephanie's response to AJ. "Hell no! Never again will Last Diva Standing take place under my watch!" she shouted, Dario providing a different perspective. "Stephanie, I know that you have issues with that match... But the only thing I love more than power is violence!" Dario essentially endorsed Last Diva Standing, he and Stephanie arguing before AJ interrupted them. "You say yes. You say no. Let 'Little Miss Bliss' here be the tiebreaker," AJ said. She had Alexa right where she wanted her. If 'The Wicked Witch of WWE' was going to have another opportunity at the Women's Title, this was the only way it could happen. AJ plotted from the beginning to lure Alexa into her territory, and it worked. Alexa slowly extended her hand out to AJ, the two rivals agreeing to tonight's main event. "It's official! AJ Lee vs. Alexa Bliss in a Last Diva Standing match for the WWE Women's Championship, tonight!" Dario shouted ecstatically, AJ pulling Alexa closer to her as the two came nose-to-nose. The irate Stephanie left the ring, the RAW Commissioner being overruled in the decision for this match to take place. The third Last Diva Standing match in WWE history happens tonight in Alexa Bliss' final chance to dethrone AJ Lee and become WWE Women's Champion!
Returning from the commercial break, a recap of the opening segment was shown with the official confirmation of tonight's main event. For the third time in history, a Last Diva Standing match takes place when AJ Lee puts the WWE Women's Championship on the line against Alexa Bliss. "If anyone isn't familiar with Last Diva Standing, it has quickly become the most violent, shocking and unfathomable match-up of our time. The very first one last year between AJ and Paige is still talked about and was named 2013's Match of the Year. What we're going to see tonight will be nothing short of memorable, but also horrifying," Corey Graves said, warning the viewers at home of Last Diva Standing's graphic nature.
► KEVIN OWENS & BOBBY ROODE DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION CM PUNK & CODY RHODES: Ahead of the WarGames match at Battleground in three weeks, two members of Team Styles and Team Bateman met in Tag Team action here tonight. Looking to resolve any tension that may have arisen earlier in the day, Intercontinental Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes formed a cohesive unit until the final seconds of the match-up. After Rhodes Clotheslined Bobby Roode over the top rope, he attempted to deliver a Disaster Kick to Kevin Owens. However, Owens moved out of harm's way and caused Rhodes to inadvertently catch Punk with his boot. Owens grabbed Rhodes and tossed him out of the ring, covering Punk to get the three count. Owens rolled out to ringside as Roode joined him in celebration, 'The Prizefighter' having just pinned the Intercontinental Champion one week after putting Randy Orton on the shelf, and it was all thanks to a miscommunication between Punk and Rhodes.
Returning from the commercial break, Intercontinental Champion CM Punk was shown walking into the locker room area, furiously throwing his championship against the wall before sitting down to remove his wrist tape. "Punk! Punk!" shouted Cody Rhodes from a distance, 'The Prince of Pro Wrestling' soon entering the room. "So you're just going to leave me out there and ignore me? I said it was an accident and that I'm sorry," Rhodes said, Punk's already-existing paranoia over AJ Styles being the team captain getting the better of his judgment. "I said earlier that I don't trust Styles, but I didn't know that I'd have to question whether or not I should trust you!" Punk yelled, Rhodes responding by saying that he needs to stop acting like everyone is out to get him. "I make one mistake and you suddenly think that I and everyone else are plotting against you. There are only five people right now who I want to make life hell for: Derrick Bateman, Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. Not CM Punk." At that moment, Dean Ambrose walked into the room and stepped in between Punk and Rhodes, the last person in the world who should be playing peacemaker having to do so. "Whatever differences you guys may have right now, put them to the side for just another few weeks because we need to be on the same page for WarGames. So Cody kicked you in the face. Big deal. I drove a car into AJ Styles' house and he shook my hand last week. Get over it," Ambrose said. "Now then... Do either of you guys have a wagon?" Ambrose asked, Punk and Rhodes both staring at him in confusion. "I plan on going out to the ring tonight to call out Triple H and Seth Rollins, and I need a wagon. Do you guys have one?" Punk and Rhodes were too puzzled by Ambrose's question to answer him, 'The Lunatic Fringe' instead declaring that he'll just ask one of the workers where he can find one.
► SAMOA JOE DEF. BO ROTUNDO: While Samoa Joe was still on the hunt for Braun Strowman, 'The Samoan Submission' had to settle for the man who tried to form 'Samoa Bo' with him in the Royal Rumble match. Bo Rotundo attempted to propose his offer for a tag team yet again with Joe, but was met with a headbutt mid-promo. Joe quickly finished Bo off with the Coquina Clutch before rising to his feet and having his arm raised. Joe stared into the hard camera with his cold, calculating eyes when suddenly, the entrance music of Strowman hit. "Here we go, Mauro!" Corey Graves exclaimed, rubbing his hands together as Strowman marched down to the ring. Joe was more than ready to take on 'The Monster Among Men,' not counting on Baron Corbin hitting the ring through the audience. 'The Lone Wolf' turned Joe around and delivered The End of Days before running out of the ring before Strowman could get a hold of him. Strowman stared at the laid-out Joe before looking on at Corbin, who mouthed the words, "I'm the monster around here" to him. Corbin has thrown his name into the mix of things between Joe and Strowman in the battle to see which dominant superstar can truly claim the title of WWE's monster to beat.
Backstage, John Cena was shown walking down a corridor. After taking out Paul Heyman with an Attitude Adjustment last week, what is next for Cena in his quest to challenge for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania XXX?
A promo was shown for this Wednesday's edition of NXT. Two weeks before TakeOver: R-Evolution, NXT Women's Champion Bayley has her opportunity for retribution when she teams with Becky Lynch to take on two-thirds of Femme Fatales, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Plus, international sensation Kota Ibushi competes for the first time in Full Sail University ahead of his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship rematch against the man who defeated him at Wrestle Kingdom 8, Tyler Breeze. WWE NXT, this Wednesday night on the WWE Network.
In the arena, the entrance music of John Cena sounded to the mixed reaction that has become associated with ‘The Face That Runs the Place.’ Cena made his way out to the stage, glancing at the WWE Universe before turning his attention to the WrestleMania XXX sign. “Derrick Bateman, start counting down the days, son,” Cena said to the camera while tapping his wrist as if he had a watch. Cena ran down to the ring, taking a microphone while the fans barely settled down. “Let’s go, Cena!” and “Cena sucks!” chants rained down from the stands, Cena pointing the microphone towards both sides of the arena to let the fans’ voices be heard. “New Orleans, y’all got some competition for when I become the WWE Universal Champion. Don’t let me down,” Cena said, the fans who opposed the idea of him winning the Universal Title booing at the top of their lungs. “I made it clear last week and I’ll say it again here. At WrestleMania, John Cena will challenge for the WWE Universal Championship. As long as the championship exists, my résumé will never be complete. I’m not waiting for others to have their shots before I claim it for myself. The ‘New Era’ can get their opportunities after I’ve gotten mine. The Universal Title is my priority, WrestleMania is my destination and Derrick Bateman… You’re my target.”
When John Cena was finished sending his message to Derrick Bateman, the voice of Paul Heyman was heard to a great response from the Omaha crowd. The advocate for Brock Lesnar made his way out to the stage, noticeably limping after being on the receiving end of an Attitude Adjustment last week. "Mr. Cena, I will have you know that last Monday night, you gave me every reason that I needed to press criminal charges against you. You laid your hands on a defenseless individual and for that, you and all of your fans in the 'Cenation' should be ashamed of your actions. However, I have decided to pursue revenge against you in a different manner. Our score will not be settled in a courtroom, but rather that very ring that you stand in. The same ring that you actually believe you will capture the WWE Universal Champion in at WrestleMania. Once again, Mr. Cena, I must be the bearer of bad news for you because you will NOT challenge Derrick Bateman on April 6th in New Orleans in front of over 70,000 members of the WWE Universe. That opportunity belongs to the man who Derrick Bateman has made a sworn enemy out of. 'The Conqueror.' 'The Beast Incarnate.' 'The Mayor of Suplex City.' The next WWE Universal Champion, Brock! Lesnar! And if you still cannot wrap your head around that fact, Mr. Cena, then I think that my client could make you." After that last line from Heyman, Cena removed his shirt and threw it into the audience, daring Heyman to sic Lesnar on him. "Oh, you want my client? You want my client in that ring? Well then... Be careful what you wish for, Mr. Cena, because you've got! My! Client!" Heyman pointed to the entranceway, the fans in Omaha believing that Lesnar was going to emerge and set his sights on Cena. 'The Face That Runs the Place' believed so as well since he stared at the stage, ready for a fight. However, Cena would soon be hoisted onto the shoulders of Hideo Itami, who entered the ring through the crowd. "Oh my God! That's, that's, that's Hideo Itami! Paul Heyman's client from NXT!" Mauro Ranallo shouted before Itami planted Cena with the Burning Hammer! Itami rose to his feet, the WWE Universe giving him a mixed reception. Heyman was all smiles as he marched down to the ring, joining Itami as the two stood tall over Cena. "You've got my client, Hideo Itami, one-on-one at Battleground!" Heyman threw his microphone down and proceeded to raise Itami's hand, the WWE Universe watching in shock, but also excitement because a dream match-up takes place in three weeks at Battleground! John Cena vs. Hideo Itami for the first time ever!
Returning to the live broadcast, a recap of the previous segment was shown as John Cena and Paul Heyman met once again, though this time, their encounter ended much differently than it did last week. Hideo Itami, Paul Heyman's client from NXT, would make a shocking appearance to take Cena out with the Burning Hammer. Afterwards, Heyman revealed that at Battleground, Cena and Itami will meet one-on-one for the first time ever. "Coming up very shortly, Hideo Itami could have the biggest week of his career. At NXT TakeOver, he has the chance to become the NXT Champion, and then just four days later, he can do the unthinkable and defeat John Cena," Corey Graves said.
► WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE ALPHA WOLVES DEF. THE NEW DAY IN MATCH 6 OF THE BEST OF SEVEN SERIES: A situation that The New Day didn't believe they'd find themselves in after leading the Best of Seven Series 3-1 against the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Alpha Wolves. With Xavier Woods absent to 'nurse' Francesca, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards were allowed the match with Kofi Kingston and Big E that they desired. Towards the conclusion, New Day had Richards in position for the Midnight Hour. However. Richards was able to counter it into an Inverted DDT to Big E while Edwards shoved Kingston off of the top rope. Richards then shockingly was able to lift Big E in up vertically, Edwards Superkicking him to lead into the Brainbuster. Edwards got the cover on Big E, defeating him to put The Alpha Wolves in the scenario that very few in the WWE Universe believed they'd get to. "In a series that The New Day once held a 3-1 lead in, we are all tied up now!" Mauro Ranallo shouted ecstatically as Richards and Edwards were handed back their WWE Tag Team Championships. After Match 4, it looked like a forgone conclusion that Kingston and Big E were on their way to becoming champions. Now, The Alpha Wolves have managed to even the score and the series will be going to Match 7. The next time that The Alpha Wolves and The New Day, it's winners take all. Win or go home. The Best of Seven Series has one more match to go, and the winners will be able to call themselves the WWE Tag Team Champions.
A graphic was shown that featured a dark silhouette of The Undertaker, who made his return to WWE last week on SmackDown Live. Later tonight, 'The Phenom' will speak for the first time since he was buried alive at Extreme Rules last year by 'The Eater of Worlds,' Bray Wyatt.
At the sound of Dean Ambrose’s entrance music, the WWE Universe members in Omaha came unglued for ‘The Lunatic Fringe.’ Ambrose made his way down to the ring with the object that he had asked CM Punk and Cody Rhodes for earlier in the night: a wagon. In the wagon were chairs, a trash can, two kendo sticks and a table that didn’t fit entirely. Ambrose left the wagon at ringside before entering the ring, taking a microphone and saying that as far as he’s concerned, AJ Styles not being in the building tonight means that it’s a free for all. “WarGames is in three weeks and I’ll put my focus on the match when the time comes, but there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that I’m waiting until then to get my hands on that scumbag, Seth Rollins. I didn’t walk around the entire arena looking for a wagon for nothing. So Seth, if you can get permission from daddy Triple H, come out here now and let’s fight!” Ambrose paced back and forth until Rollin’s theme song hit, ‘The Architect of the Future’ heading out to the stage alongside the man who has become a mentor to him, Triple H. Ambrose’s smile grew even wider when he saw Hunter, believing that he’d be able to get his hands on ‘The Game’ as well. Ambrose exited the ring and took a kendo stick from his wagon, but as he was walking up the ramp, several security guards appeared to form a barrier between Ambrose and his two adversaries. The fans booed relentlessly, Ambrose turning around and walking back into the ring. “That’s actually really thoughtful of you, Triple H. Most dads buy their spoiled, entitled children cars and whatnot. You bought yours a security team to protect him from Dean Ambrose. Honestly, I’m flattered that you see me as that big of a threat. You could’ve done better, though. Maybe a SWAT team. Maybe put Seth in a bunch of bubble wrap.” Triple H would then cut off Ambrose, telling him that he can continue to joke all he wants, but the fact will forever remain that he lied to the entire WWE Universe. “You won Manifest Destiny and you promised each and every single one of these people who cheer for you that you would leave the Royal Rumble as the WWE Champion. Not only did you fail, but then, you sold out and are now teaming with the guy who pinned you. The same guy who I saw with my own eyes have his house destroyed because you drove a car into it." Ambrose told Hunter that it's funny he has the nerve to call somebody a sell out when that's all that he and Seth Rollins have ever been. "Look at who's talking, Mr. 'D-Generation X.' Mr 'Stick it to the Man.' Mr. 'Hey, none of this worked out for me, so let me marry the boss' daughter and become the same corporate stooge that I used to fight against.' And you, Seth. You and I have never liked each other. We're like Peter Griffin and The Giant Chicken. As long as we exist, we're gonna fight. But there was once a time where I could - at the very least - respect you. I respected the kind of competitor that you brought out of me in FCW. I respected the Seth Rollins who built the house that everybody knows as NXT. The Seth Rollins who used to stand for something other than greed. Not this piece of crap who sold his soul to the devil himself in exchange for a worthless endorsement. That is the Seth Rollins who I want to beat pints of blood out of! You see everything in that wagon? There are nights, Seth, where I literally dream about taking them and dismantling you. The sound of a steel chair colliding with your bones brings me more joy than a newborn's cries to its parents. Every time you crash through a table, another day is added to my lifespan. Hell, I want to beat you with the wagon itself! And like I said before, I'm not waiting until WarGames where I'll not only have to deal with you, but every other one of Derrick Bateman's puppets. Being locked inside of a structure with you where you have nowhere to hide is all I want, and I'm gonna get it. So here's what I'm thinking, scumbag. Next week, bring whoever the hell you want with you to ringside because they're not going to be able to do a damn thing to stop me from beating the living hell out of you inside of a Steel Cage!" The audience unanimously praised Ambrose's challenge, Rollins and Hunter glancing at one another before 'The Architect of the Future' gave his thoughts. "Dean... Why would I even considering accepting your challenge? I'll deal with you at WarGames. NOT inside of a Steel Cage next week." Rollins and Hunter both turned around by that point, Ambrose stopping them by beginning to speak yet again. "That's fine, Seth. I mean, what do you have to prove, right? You lost Manifest Destiny as the number one seed. You lost to me two weeks ago. You lost at the Royal Rumble. You didn't beat AJ Styles on SmackDown last week. You're right. Absolutely no reason to accept my challenge and prove to the WWE Universe that 'The Architect' isn't just a poor man's Triple H." Rollins' eyes widened with anger sinking into them. He began marching down to the ring, Triple H stopping him before trying to calm him down. "Let it go, Seth!" Hunter told his protege, but Rollins decided to speak for himself. "You want me inside of a Steel Cage next week? You want to be taken straight to hell before WarGames? You got it!" Rollins screamed before throwing his microphone down, Triple H placing his hands on his head and staring at Rollins with a look that essentially asked, "What did you just do?" Ambrose' face was lit up with a smile as he looked at the wagon full of weapons, licking his lips at the thought of being able to take every single one of them to the flesh and bones of Rollins. Next week, Ambrose and Rollins do battle yet again, this time inside of a Steel Cage!
Backstage, Alexa Bliss was shown in the locker room area, sitting down against the wall with her knees tucked against her chest. The worried expression on the face of 'The Wicked Witch of WWE' made it clear that she's dreading almost everything about tonight's main event. The only bit of light that she can hope for is somehow defeating AJ Lee to become WWE Women's Champion. Alexa would soon be approached by Kaitlyn, who took a seat next to her. "Hey, you alright?" Kaitlyn asked, Alexa slowly turning her head towards her. "... No. No, I'm not alright. I never asked for this. All I wanted was another shot at the Women's Title. I didn't ask to die on live television. Do you know how much of a hypocrite I'm going to look like now? For months, I've trashed the women's division because of matches like Last Diva Standing. Now, I have to stoop to AJ's level. Not just to become champion, but simply to survive." Kaitlyn told Alexa that she's not going to try to lie to her. "You're going to get hurt tonight. You will not be the same person when you leave that ring, whether or not you're the Women's Champion. What you need to remember is that everybody has a weakness. There's always a way to beat AJ, even in Last Diva Standing. I did it once, and you can, too. I wouldn't have given you the opportunity at TLC if I didn't believe that you are the champion that this division needs. Don't be afraid to grab a weapon and swing it like your life depends on it because it does. It's kill or be killed, and like you said, you never asked to die on live TV. So go out there and do every upcoming generation of female wrestlers a favor. End AJ Lee's career because if you don't, she'll end yours."

- Last Diva Standing for the WWE Women's Championship with AJ Lee defending her title against Alexa Bliss yet again but in no regular singles match but a Last Diva Standing Match...yeah if you want a definitive winner that is the only way to decide it but Stephanie McMahon the RAW Commissioner obviously doesn't want this match to happen again because she knows what it is all about hell wasn't she in one of those with Paige? Not to mention AJ Lee was in one too with Paige and she knows the kind of brutality that comes with that so of course Stephanie doesn't want it to happen on her watch and then seeing Dario disagree with her and overrule her making the match official I mean seeing Dario Cueto the RAW GM overrule Stephanie every single time on a decision is actually pretty entertaining to say the least
- Derrick Bateman the WWE Universal Champion seems confident that he will be able to beat The Undertaker but he has never ever been in the ring with The Undertaker he doesn't know what The Undertaker is capable of and not to mention the mind games Taker plays with his opponents and Bateman thinks that he can compete with that I don't know who he is trying to convince everyone else or himself because Taker already has Bateman right where he wants him...that arrogance the overconfidence is what is going to ultimately be his undoing
- Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode beating WWE Intercontinental Champion The Best in the World CM Punk and The Prince of Pro Wrestling Cody Rhodes in a Tag Team Match...I think it is safe to say momentum is in Team Bateman's camp right now I mean it is like Team Styles is falling apart without AJ Styles the WWE Champion and team captain of Team Styles even being there I mean now his teammates are more or less doubting ever aligning with him and Rhodes accidentally hitting Punk costing their team the victory and now Punk being all paranoid first off about AJ and now about Rhodes I think it is safe to say CM Punk is or he will turn heel it is only a matter of time
- Why does Ambrose even need a wagon for? This man is a lunatic he is crazy so Lord only knows what he is going to use the wagon for
- Samoa Joe in his second match ever on RAW beats Bo Rotundo...in not only convincing fashion but in dominant fashion too...I mean The Samoan Submission Machine is easily breaking on to the scene here in WWE and then Joe post-match wanting Strowman and then Strowman coming down to the ring only for Baron Corbin to come out of nowhere I guess he must have come from under the ring or through the crowd as he sneaks into the ring and attacks Samoa Joe from behind and then lays him out with The End of Days getting out of dodge before Strowman can get to him...I think it is safe to say Samoa Joe has not one but 2 targets now especially now because not only does he want Strowman but I am sure by now he will probably want Baron Corbin too
- Cena wants the WWE Universal Championship but then again so does Brock Lesnar and only one of them can go on to face WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman at the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania that only one of them can go on to WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans to the main event but who will it be? Heyman coming out to interrupt Cena and Cena thinking he is going to get Lesnar Heyman pulls a switcheroo and instead out of nowhere Hideo Itami Paul Heyman Guy and client of Paul Heyman from NXT shows up and lays out John Cena with his version of the GTS called The Burning Hammer...Itami laying out Cena in his main roster debut I mean he is in NXT and he just shows up unannounced like this attacking Cena...well it makes sense given he is another of Paul Heyman's clients he is a Paul Heyman Guy just like Brock is and for Itami in his PPV debut he gets to face none other than John Cena in his PPV debut which will happen at WWE Battleground...Cena/Itami that is a Dream Match in of that of itself and not to mention I am sure Brock Lesnar will be watching this match very closely
- Given that Itami has an NXT Championship match at NXT TakeOver imagine if he wins the NXT Championship and then at WWE Battleground he has to face John Cena I mean Itami has all the pressure now on his shoulders
- WWE Tag Team Champions The Alpha Wolves doing the unthinkable and actually tying this Best of 7 Series against The New Day by beating The New Day here to tie the series up at 3-3...both teams winning 3 matches even after The New Day had a 3-1 lead in this series hell I even thought that they would win this series after that single-handedly by winning it 4-1 but then Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards the WWE Tag Team Champions winning match after match to get back in it I mean could they do the unthinkable and come back from a 3-1 deficit to win this series and retain their titles? Or will New Day be able to finish this off win the series and become the new WWE Tag Team Champions? This series I will admit has been entertaining to watch but also this more or less revolutionizes the WWE Tag Team division a rivalry like this puts it back on the map
- Undertaker is back for the first time in almost a year given the last time we ever saw him he was buried alive at Extreme Rules by Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family and then last week on RAW he makes his shocking return aligning himself with Team Styles for WarGames and then tonight he has to face the WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman...no doubt that that match will be the main event but Undertaker here is hoping at WrestleMania 30 he faces a different opponent considering last year at WrestleMania 29 he already faced Bray Wyatt so there is no need for him to face Wyatt again considering they had a match at Extreme Rules a Buried Alive Match which Bray Wyatt won so here is hoping at WrestleMania 30 he faces someone like let's say John Cena, Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens, hell I would even take CM Punk to face Taker or even Cody Rhodes to face Taker or even Seth Rollins or even Dean Ambrose anyone is better than Bray Wyatt
- Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose in a 15 ft high Steel Cage...I wonder who that benefits more Rollins or Ambrose?
- Alexa Bliss getting a pep talk before Last Diva Standing by none other than Kaitlyn...I mean it makes sense given their friendship but also given the fact that Kaitlyn has history in Last Diva Standing with AJ

February 3rd, 2014 (Part 2) - Backstage, Cathy Kelley was standing by with ‘The Greatest Man That Ever Lived,’ Austin Aries. Aries stepped into the picture, a banana in his suit jacket’s pocket for whatever reason. “Since last week, mysterious vignettes have been airing about somebody coming to WWE known as the ‘Fil-Am Flash.’ Do you have any speculation on who this individual might be?” Cathy asked. “It’s TJ Perkins,” Aries said nonchalantly, ruining Cathy’s interview that was intended to further the speculation of Perkins’ identity. “TJ is someone who I’ve known for quite some time now. I’ve been in the ring with him before and if I can say anything good about him, it’s that he’s talented. But when you look at the bigger picture, you’ll see that TJ is brash. Obnoxious. Self-absorbed. He vanity searches himself on Twitter. All things that I can say about myself, but the difference between me and TJ is that I can back all of that up. I said he’s talented, but he acts like he’s ‘The Greatest Man That Ever Lived.’ That’s a title that only I live up to. So, whenever TJ decides to finally show his face around here and stop hiding behind some poorly-produced vignettes, I’ll be waiting for him. As much as he wants to believe it, life isn’t a video game. You don’t get to try again when you fail, and that’s all he’s going to do against me."
► TYSON KIDD DEF. CHRISTIAN W/ CHRIS JERICHO VIA DISQUALIFICATION: After last week's events that saw Chris Jericho and Christian reunite with their agenda being to "take out the 'New Era,'" Tyson Kidd looked to get revenge against the duo for the assault against him on The Peep Show. When Kidd ran the ropes, Jericho swiped at his feet from underneath the bottom rope. Kidd pushed Jericho away with both of his soles, knocking 'Y2J' onto the floor. Kidd dodged an incoming Christian and rolled him up for a two count before striking 'Captain Charisma' with a Sick Kick! Kidd got the cover, but Jericho slid into the ring and stomped on his back, causing the disqualification finish. Jericho struck away onto Kidd as Christian got up to his feet, joining his partner in the attack against Kidd. Jericho then brought Kidd onto his feet, holding him up for Christian to get his shot in. Before that could happen, Adrian Neville charged down the entrance ramp and into the ring. Jericho and Christian bolted out of the squared circle, avoiding an altercation with 'The Man That Gravity Forgot.' Neville challenged Jericho and Christian to get back into the ring while guarding Kidd, a sight that Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves described as "surreal" after the rivalry between Neville and Kidd months ago that culminated in an Iron Man match that is still being talked about. Jericho and Christian's mission against the 'New Era' just took a turn for the worse as they now have to contest with Neville and Kidd.
For the first time on Monday Night RAW since last May, the iconic gong of The Undertaker sounded. The WWE Universe came unglued as the lights shut, fire shooting from the stage several times. Blue lights illuminated the arena as ‘The Deadman’ himself walked out onto the stage, his ominous presence taking over the landscape at that moment. “No matter how many times anybody tries, you cannot kill what is not living. The dead rises once again, and it’s poetic that we’re on the road to the house that The Undertaker built, WrestleMania,” Corey Graves said as Undertaker marched down to the ring, the WrestleMania XXX appearing in the same shot as him. But before WrestleMania arrives, The Undertaker will step into WarGames for the first time ever at Battleground as a member of Team Styles. After Undertaker took a microphone, he started off by saying that it shouldn't come to the surprise of anybody that with WrestleMania on the horizon, the living dead found its way back onto the surface. "21 souls have been taken on the grandest stage of them all, and at Battleground, five will be taken to their graves. One of whom tried to bury my legacy last year. No man or monster can condemn me to eternal hell, and Bray Wyatt has to learn that the hard way. Wyatt, if you thought it was torture having to dispose of Paige last week, you are in for a rude awakening when you and I are bound by the confines of WarGames. And finally, you will meet the ultimate demise that you should have a long, long time ago. You will rest... In..." Before Undertaker could finish, the signature of The Wyatt Family hit as the lights in the arena shut. The fireflies in the WWE Universe provided light for the time being as Bray Wyatt made his way out onto the stage, his lantern in one hand with a microphone in the other. "Maybe it was foolish of me to believe that I had wiped 'The Phenom' off the face of the earth at Extreme Rules. Which makes me ask myself, 'If burying The Undertaker alive wasn't enough, what can I do?' And that's when I see that my opportunity to destroy your legacy is quickly approaching. By aligning yourself with Team Styles, you sealed your long overdue fate. At Battleground inside of the WarGames structure, your yard will turn into your gravesite. This time, I will end you, Undertaker. I will rip your spirit out of your being and send you straight to hell and once you're there, you and Paige can figure out where exactly you both went wrong! But before any of that can occur, I do have one message to send you, 'Deadman.' Run!" Wyatt then blew out his lantern, the lights in the arena turning back on. Once they did so, WWE Universal Champion Derrick Bateman was seen in the ring, delivering a chop block to the back of The Undertaker's right knee! Undertaker went down as Bateman stomped away on him, Wyatt being joined on the ramp by Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Roode. The four Team Bateman members joined their captain in the assault on The Undertaker until the calvary arrived in the form of Dean Ambrose, Cody Rhodes and the Intercontinental Champion, CM Punk. The three of them managed to take care of Team Bateman for a second, despite the numbers advantage against them. After Ambrose Clotheslined Rollins over the top rope, Punk took his Intercontinental Title and attempted to strike Owens with it. However, Owens moved out of harm's way, leading to Punk inadvertently leveling Rhodes in the head with the title! "An inadvertent shot from Punk to 'The Prince of Pro Wrestling!'" Mauro Ranallo yelled out after Rhodes collapsed onto the canvas, Corey Graves questioning if it truly was an accident. "How do we know that CM Punk didn't intentionally take out Cody? After what happened earlier tonight, I wouldn't put it past Punk to take that opportunity for revenge." Bateman caught Punk in the side of his head with a forearm shot before Ambrose went after him, though 'The Lunatic Fringe' was quickly beaten down by Owens, Wyatt and Roode. With Ambrose on his hands and knees, Team Bateman made way for Rollins to deliver the Curb Stomp to the man he meets inside of a Steel Cage next week. Owens and Roode then brought Undertaker up to his feet, holding him by his arms and allowing Bateman to strike him in the skull with the Universal Title, the second time in this brawl that a championship become a weapon. The WWE Universe chanted for AJ Styles, but as it was already established, the WWE Champion wasn't anywhere in the vicinity. Bateman picked Undertaker's near-lifeless body up off of the mat, throwing him into the clutches of Wyatt. 'The Eater of Worlds' planted Undertaker with Sister Abigail, Team Bateman then proceeding to leave the ring as one unit after taking out all present members of Team Styles. When the five of them made it up to the stage, The Undertaker sat up in the center of the ring. Bateman, Wyatt, Owens, Rollins and Roode showed no signs of fear, though. Even if Undertaker was back up, Ambrose, Punk and Rhodes were still down and out. "You're looking at one of the most impressive units ever assembled in WWE. Team Styles may be stacked with star power, but so is Team Bateman and tonight, they showed what nobody on Team Styles has been able to: Unity."
► MATT HARDY DEF. BIG CASS TO RETAIN THE HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP: After defeating Enzo Amore in his WWE return at the Royal Rumble, 'Broken' Matt Hardy had his first Hardcore Championship defense against Enzo's tag team partner, Big Cass. After receiving a Big Boot from Cass, Hardy targeted his right foot. At one point, Hardy repeatedly struck Cass' foot while yelling "Delete!" over and over again. Hardy then removed the top portion of the steel steps, setting Cass' foot down onto the bottom portion. Hardy took the steps and attempted to crush Cass' foot, but thankfully, Cass moved out of harm's way in time. Cass got to his feet and pushed Hardy away, giving him time to grab a steel chair. Cass slid the chair into the ring before entering the squared circle himself, Hardy catching him with a knee to the face while he was doing so. Hardy then set Cass up for the Side Effect, delivering it onto the chair. Hardy covered Cass to get the victory, retaining the Hardcore Title and keeping his "broken brilliance" alive. "Seven foot tall is irrelevant to the seven deities! Delete! Delete! Delete!" Hardy shouted while standing over Cass and holding the Hardcore Title high above his head. His very, very 'broken' head
Backstage, WWE Women's Champion AJ Lee was shown sitting down on a crate, looking deep into gold, silver and red center plate of her title. Cathy Kelley slowly and carefully approached AJ, asking if she had any thoughts that she wanted to get out before her Last Diva Standing match against Alexa Bliss. Instead of answering Cathy directly, AJ took her microphone away from her and motioned with her hand a "leave" gesture. After Cathy left the picture, AJ began looking into the camera before speaking her mind one final time before tonight's main event. "Don't get too close... That place is haunted... Fear not the ghost... 'Cause she sent them running. Those words are more than just lyrics in a theme song, Alexa. You should've known that the closer you got to me, the easier it would be for me to put you right where I wanted you. When you play with fire, you get burned. You did this to yourself, Alexa. So tonight, when you're lying in a pool of blood and you have to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher, understand that it all would have been your fault. This is the price you pay when you piss me off. Ask Kaitlyn. Ask Sofia. And if I knew where she was, I'd tell you to go ask Paige what I do to my enemies. Welcome to hell, 'Ms. Bliss.'"
► UNITED STATES CHAMPION THE MIZ W/ MARYSE DEF. R-TRUTH IN A NON-TITLE MATCH: With his defense of the United States Championship against Daniel Bryan set for Battleground, The Miz had the opportunity to gain momentum as he went up against his former Awesome Truth partner, R-Truth. At one point in the contest, Miz had Truth on his knees and began mocking Bryan by delivering repeated kicks to the chest while yelling out "Yes!" with every one of them. Miz stalked Truth as the latter was getting to his feet, Maryse performing the "Yes!" taunt at ringside. Miz planted Truth with the Skull Crushing Finale to get the victory, the official handing him back his United States Title. Maryse stepped into the ring and handed Miz a microphone, 'The Awesome One' telling the WWE Universe not to get their hopes up in regard to his title defense at Battleground against Bryan. "I know what you all think. Your little hero, Daniel Bryan, is going to take this United States Championship from me in three weeks. Here's the thing, though. I know something about Daniel Bryan that nobody else does. Something that he's hiding from everybody. From his colleagues. From our bosses. From you all. Hell, I doubt he's even told Brie yet. And the reason Bryan isn't telling anybody is because he wants to keep up this BS narrative that he's invincible. That he's superhuman and cannot be stopped. Bryan, you may be able to fool everybody in the world into thinking that you're a superhero, but you're not fooling me. This Friday on SmackDown, we sign our contract for Battleground. You have until the moment that you sign the dotted line to come forward and tell the WWE Universe the truth because if you don't, I will." Miz dropped his microphone and raised the United States Title with one arm while holding Maryse close to him with the other. "This is huge news, Mauro! Daniel Bryan isn't the 'superhero' that everyone thinks he is and The Miz just made it clear that if Bryan doesn't confess whatever his secret is before SmackDown this Friday, then he'll do it for him!" said Corey Graves. What dirt, if any at all, does The Miz actually have on Daniel Bryan?
Returning to Monday Night RAW, Renee Young was shown backstage standing by with the newest tag team to arrive on the scene in WWE, The Revival. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder entered the picture as Renee asked them if they could explain exactly why they've targeted Antonio Cesaro over the past few weeks. "Why we've been targeting Cesaro? Why don't you ask Cesaro what his problem is with us because if it wasn't for him continuously sticking his nose in our business, maybe he wouldn't have trouble getting out of bed every day because of what we did to him last week," Dawson said. Dash followed up by saying that Cesaro's stupidity actually worked out in their favor. "We've been able to use Cesaro to send a message to the rest of the WWE locker room. When you pick a fight with The Revival, you're gonna get your ass kicked. No two ways about it. So, Cesaro. If you're ever feeling brave again, you know where to find us. It's nothing personal. It's just top guy business."
Elsewhere backstage, Stephanie McMahon was shown in her office with her head down, knowing that Last Diva Standing was just moments away and there wasn't anything that she could do to stop it. "Um, Mrs. Stephanie?" asked Allie, the assistant to Stephanie and Dario Cueto, who walked into the office with a large bucket of popcorn. "I brought the popcorn you asked for," Allie said, Stephanie standing up from her seat and knocking the popcorn out of her hands. "When the hell did I ask you to bring me popcorn?! Are you stupid?!" Stephanie shouted, frightening Allie, who tried repeatedly to apologize. Dario then stepped into the picture, informing Stephanie that he asked for the popcorn. "AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss are about to kill each other and I'm going to enjoy it. Allie, please go get me some more popcorn. And try not to spill it all over the place next time." Dario exited the room, Stephanie returning to her original position with her head face down on the desk. Allie left the screen for a few seconds before returning, slowly picking up a piece of the popcorn from the desk. Somehow, Stephanie knew that Allie was still in the room. "Get! Out!" Stephanie shouted to Allie, who ran away screaming.
The graphic for tonight's main event was shown one more time before AJ Lee and Alexa Bliss prepare to have what is basically a fight to the death for the WWE Women's Championship. When RAW returns, Last Diva Standing III commences.
When Alexa Bliss' entrance music sounded, an eerie feeling came over the WWE Universe. As if everybody was watching somebody walk right into their grave, because that's essentially what was about to happen. Alexa slowly stepped out onto the stage, a kendo stick in her left hand. Mauro Ranallo pointed out that Alexa wasn't even holding the kendo stick traditionally. Her hand was wrapped around the center of the stick, showing inexperience and anxiety in an environment such as Last Diva Standing. "She's as far-removed from her comfort zone as anybody can be. The strategy in these types of matches normally would be to just survive, but Alexa Bliss is NOT going to outlast AJ Lee without beating her to a pulp. If Alexa wants to leave here tonight as the WWE Women's Champion, or simply leave here in one piece, she NEEDS to become everything that she's spoken against over the last few months." Once Alexa was in the ring, she stood her ground in a corner, breathing rapidly while waiting for her adversary to step in to the squared circle with her. AJ Lee's entrance theme hit to a massive ovation from the fans in Omaha, the defending champion skipping down to the ring before stopping herself at ringside. AJ looked underneath the ring and began bringing out several steel chairs, throwing all of them carelessly into the ring. "Doesn't this look familiar? At Extreme Rules last year, this was exactly how Paige started her Last Diva Standing match against AJ. Now, WWE's resident 'Crazy Chick' is showing the same relentless that Paige did last May. Alexa Bliss is the one who fears everything while AJ fears nothing," Mauro Ranallo said. AJ slid into the ring and handed over her WWE Women's Championship, the official holding it while Justin Roberts gave the pre-match introductions.
The time had finally arrived for Alexa Bliss to show the world just how badly she wants to become WWE Women's Champion. If she wanted to stop the hardcore movement that had been going on in the women's division for the last year, she needed to become a martyr for her cause. Last Diva Standing III is underway!
When the bell sounded, AJ charged towards Alexa, who held up her kendo stick. She had to find out the hard way that just holding up a weapon wouldn't do anything. AJ struck Alexa with a forearm shot before picking up the kendo stick for herself, striking Alexa with it on the side of her leg! AJ hit Alexa with the kendo stick again, this time in her lower back. Alexa slid out to ringside, the areas where the kendo stick met her flesh swelling up quickly. AJ took one of the steel chairs that she introduced prior to the start of the match, throwing it directly at the top of Alexa's head. Alexa was able to get her hands up, but the chair still made some contact with her. She fell to the ground while holding her head, AJ stepping out onto the ring apron. AJ leaped off with a Thesz Press before clearing the announce table. AJ took one of the pens that was resting on the table and actually tried to stab Alexa in the forehead with it. Alexa, however, grabbed AJ's arm and was able to keep the pen away from her skin. Alexa hit AJ in the mid-section with her knee before bouncing the champion's head off of the table three times. Alexa took one of the TV monitors that AJ had knocked onto the ground, waiting patiently for her to get back up. "This is exactly what Alexa needs to do to win! Don't let AJ get another ounce of offense in!" Graves said, cheering on 'The Wicked Witch of WWE.' When AJ got back to her feet, Alexa charged towards her with the monitor. AJ sidestepped Alexa before Dropkicking her. AJ ran towards Alexa, who moved out of harm's way and caused the Women's Champion to crash both of her knees into the steel steps. Alexa then took the steel chair that was used against her earlier, slamming it into the face of AJ as she stood behind the ring post! AJ fell to the ground, the official beginning the count that many in the WWE Universe believed would result in the crowning of a new champion. At around six, AJ stirred to her feet, but was actually bleeding from her lip. Alexa grabbed AJ by her head and threw her face-first into the ring post before rolling her into the ring. The champion was literally on her hands and knees, trying to crawl to the ropes. "Can you believe what we're seeing? In a match as brutal as Last Diva Standing, Alexa Bliss actually has the upper hand over one of the superstars who has made a name for herself by competing in barbaric environments," Ranallo stated, shocked that Alexa was doing as well as she was. The challenger then picked up the kendo stick, this time holding it properly. Alexa licked her lips, showing pleasure in handing AJ this kind of punishment. Alexa struck AJ in the back with the kendo stick, and in that moment, she discovered what she feared: She wasn't any different than women like AJ, Sofia Cortez or even Paige. She liked being in this violent atmosphere. So much that she hit AJ with the kendo stick again, and again, and again. With AJ screaming in pain, Alexa decided to try to one-up herself and inflict even more damage on the Women's Champion. The official started the count again, but Alexa knew it was pointless since she would have to do much more to keep AJ down. Alexa set up two chairs against each other, almost like the seats were a table. Alexa grabbed AJ and placed her in position for Alexaonfire, otherwise known as a Dragon Suplex. AJ, however, fought out of it with elbow shots to Alexa's head. AJ grabbed Alexa by her neck, running onto the turnbuckles to deliver a Sliced Bread onto the chairs! AJ backed against a corner, the official starting the count to see if Alexa could make it back up. At the count of five, Alexa began stirring. She made it back onto her feet in time, AJ charging into her and applying the Black Widow! "All AJ has to do is keep this hold cinched in and Alexa Bliss will be out!" Ranallo said, the belief being that AJ was on her way to victory. That wasn't the immediate case, though. While AJ had the Black Widow in, she looked at the hand of Alexa that she was gripping onto. The hand was open, showing five of Alexa's fingers in the exact pose that she usually has them in during her entrance. AJ had some idea at that point. Some very, very sick idea. She released the Black Widow, which puzzled the WWE Universe since all she needed to do was keep it locked in. The WWE Women's Champion headed out to ringside, grabbing one of the pieces of paper that Ranallo and Graves used for notes during the show. She then stepped towards the time keeper's area, where she looked underneath the podium and found a bottle of rubbing alcohol. AJ took the bottle and 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper into the ring and grabbed Alexa's hand, keeping all of her fingers extended. "No! No, she's not gonna do that!" Graves screamed as AJ placed the edge of the paper against the space in between Alexa's middle and ring fingers, giving her a paper cut! AJ proceeded to slice the skin between the rest of Alexa's fingers on her right hand, giving her four paper cuts in total. While keeping her grip on Alexa's wrist, AJ turned the rubbing alcohol bottle upside down, pouring all of it onto her cuts! Alexa rolled to ringside while clutching her hand to her stomach, AJ licking the edge of the paper that she had just used for malice. "What makes matters worse is that does nothing to keep Alexa down for a ten count! AJ simply did that to punish her for her own enjoyment!" Graves added. AJ exited the ring, trying to resume tormenting Alexa. The challenger, however, took her alcohol-drenched hand and shoved it into the eyes of AJ, trying to blind the champion. Alexa rammed that back of AJ's head into the steel ring post. AJ fell onto the floor, the official starting the count while Alexa grabbed a towel from the time keeper's area. She wrapped the towel around her hand while resting against the barricade, hoping that AJ wouldn't make it back up to her feet. "What have I done? How did I get here?" Alexa asked herself, the challenger never once believing that her quest to become WWE Women's Champion and "fix" the division would result in her fighting for her life against a superstar who loves inflicting pain more than anybody else on the roster, arguably. AJ began moving at the seven count and tried getting to her feet, Alexa kicking her in her ribs. With AJ on her back, Alexa saw another opportunity to put her away. She stepped onto the ring apron, leaping off with Twisted Bliss! Alexa rose to her feet, yelling at the official to begin counting. This time, AJ was able to beat the count at eight. "Every time Alexa has AJ down for a count, the champion takes just a bit longer to get back up," Ranallo said, recognizing a pattern that could lead to Alexa winning if she can manage to stay on the attack. Alexa rolled AJ into the ring before opening the ring skirt to bring out a ladder. When Alexa tried placing it in the ring, AJ hit a Baseball Slide that sent the ladder into the mouth of Alexa. AJ positioned the ladder across from the announce table, looking all the way up to the highest rung. She brought Alexa over to the announce table, placing her flat on its surface. AJ then began climbing the side of the ladder that was closest to the announce table, the WWE Universe members in Omaha rising to their feet as they could sense something catastrophic building up. Alexa rolled off of the announce table and began climbing the opposite side of the ladder from AJ. Both women were at the top of the ladder, exchanging blows with both fighting to hang on. Alexa grabbed AJ's head and smashed her face against the top of the ladder before placing her hand that had been abused with paper and alcohol earlier on her neck. Alexa's eyes widened and stared into AJ's satisfied with the sight of champion gasping for air. Alexa moved her arm forward and pushed AJ off the ladder, sending her crashing onto the announce table that didn't break. AJ' was practically lifeless on top of the table, Alexa climbing to the very top of the ladder. The challenger stood on both feet while staring down at AJ, then glancing up at the WrestleMania XXX sign. "All of your morals go out the window when you're int he main event of Monday Night RAW for the WWE Women's Championship!" Graves said, understanding by Alexa was about to put her entire career - and life for that matter - in jeopardy.
Alexa jumped off the top of the ladder, delivering Twisted Bliss through the announce table!
"Holy s***!" Ranallo screamed while Alexa was in the air, just seconds before her body struck AJ's. The fans in Omaha proceeded to chant the same thing, both women being subject to the official's count. Alexa rolled over at the count of six, using Graves' chair to help her onto her feet. AJ used the ladder to do the same, standing back up at nine to barely hang onto her WWE Women's Title. While a majority of the audience chanted for AJ, some could be heard chanting, "Let's go, Bliss!" In one match, Alexa turned her entire image around. Whether the WWE Universe liked her or not, they needed to at least respect what she was doing to herself in the name of the Women's Championship. Graves likened Alexa's performance to Triple H at the 2000 Royal Rumble, or Edge at WrestleMania 22. No matter what happens in the rest of the match, Alexa is a star.
Both women locked eyes, knowing that the end was likely near. Whoever could just hang on longer would leave RAW tonight as the WWE Women's Champion. "Come on," AJ mouthed to Alexa before the two of them rushed towards each other, grabbing the other's head while throwing strikes. Alexa tried to get the upper hand with knee strikes, but AJ caught her leg and took her down with a Dragon Screw. When Alexa got to her feet, AJ rammed her back into the ring apron before rolling her back into the squared circle. AJ looked underneath the ring one more time, bringing out what she hoped would be the dagger in this match: A bag of thumbtacks. AJ slid into the ring and opened the bag, pouring all of the tacks out onto the canvas in front of Alexa. AJ walked towards Alexa very slowly, the challenger backing against the ropes. At that moment, three masked women hit the ring through the audience, one of them tackling AJ to the mat. The three mysterious figures beat the WWE Women's Champion down, Alexa herself looking shocked. One of the women brought AJ to her feet so that the other two could hit her with simultaneous Big Boots. While AJ was down, the official began his count. Suddenly, Sofia Cortez arrived on the scene, pulling one of the masked women out from underneath the bottom rope. Sofia, who will team with AJ in three weeks at Battleground, tried to unmask the woman she had in her clutched before the other two women tried to intervene. Sofia was able to fend off the mysterious trio before Kaitlyn ran down to ringside, Spearing Sofia through the barricade! After getting back up to her feet, Kaitlyn left through the audience with the three masked women. While nobody knew exactly what had just happened, the match was still taking place inside the ring. AJ made it to her feet at the count of nine, Alexa charging towards her. AJ was able to get her foot up in time to fend off Alexa before setting her up on the top turnbuckle. AJ stepped onto the second rope, trying to place Alexa in position for a Superplex onto the thumbtacks. Much like earlier while the two superstars were fighting on top of the ladder, Alexa broke free from AJ's clutches. Alexa hit AJ with two headbutts before one heavy forearm strike, AJ falling back and crashing onto the pile of thumbtacks! In a flashback to the original Last Diva Standing match, AJ had a plethora of tacks puncturing her flesh. With her last burst of energy, Alexa soared through the air for a third Twisted Bliss! Alexa rolled away from AJ before getting to her feet, the challenger watching on nervously as AJ was being counted out yet again. At the count of seven, AJ showed signs of life as she crawled to the ropes, cameras finally getting a glimpse at the thumbtacks that were lodged into her back and arms. AJ grabbed the bottom rope, but at the count of nine, her body gave up on her. She lost her grip on the rope and fell back down onto the canvas, the official reaching the count of ten.
ALEXA BLISS IS THE NEW WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
"The winner of this match... And NEW WWE Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss!" The WWE Universe was unsure how to react. While Alexa Bliss put on the kind of performance that demands respect from everybody, she needed the assistance of Kaitlyn and three unknown women to get the job done. Alexa was backed against the bottom turnbuckle, crying her eyes out for two reasons. Not only because she had just reached the pinnacle of women's wrestling, but because her living hell was finally over. She beat AJ Lee at her own game, Last Diva Standing. Alexa was handed the Women's Title, raising it high in the air while cameras displayed the carnage in and out of the ring. Outside interference, chairs, a kendo stick, a ladder, the announce table, thumbtacks and three Twisted Blisses. That's what it took to put AJ away and keep her down for the ten count. Alexa stood on the second rope while holding up the Women's Title and staring at the WrestleMania XXX sign, knowing that her first title defense would like come on the grandest stage of them all. Six months ago, nobody knew who Alexa Bliss was. Now, the world just watched her compete in and win one of the most grueling, barbaric matches ever aired on WWE programming. Alexa Bliss is the Last Diva Standing on this night.
Glitter. Glitz. Sparkle. Women's Champion.

- Alexa Bliss wins the WWE Women's Championship finally all be it she had help from not only Kaitlyn but 3 unknown masked women to get the job done...I mean who are the women in the masks? Or more importantly why would they interfere in a championship match they had no business being in? Or better yet why would they help Alexa Bliss? But I will say this hopefully we find out just who the women are but also seeing as how this match was a classic which saw it all I mean Last Diva Standing just is really brutal and a match that should never ever happen again
- What I love more is the dynamic between Dario, Stephanie and Allie because Stephanie hates Allie but Dario he doesn't hate Allie in fact he is more or less indifferent to her but he only keeps her around as a way to annoy Stephanie but I like the dynamic if only for the reason that Dario in his own way is trying to make Stephanie's life miserable he is trying to get her to quit as RAW Commissioner so what does he do? He sicks Allie on Stephanie at every turn...it is actually pretty smart
- The Revival...top guys they are top guys and after what they did to Cesaro I mean I wonder if Cesaro is going to get a tag team partner? If he does then I wonder if he brings back his old tag team partner that being Kassius Ohno to reunite the Kings of Wrestling?
- I think Bryan's secret is is that he is going to retire or that his body physically cannot go anymore and that is the big secret but The Miz the WWE United States Champion beating R-Truth is a clear message to Bryan though...knowing Bryan I would have thought that he would interfere or that he would cause a distraction and Miz would take his eye off the ball which would allow R-Truth to roll up Miz for the 1..2..3 but if they are going at it at Battleground then the contract signing for Miz/Bryan obviously will end up in chaos
- Matt Hardy or should I say Broken Matt Hardy retains the WWE Hardcore Championship against Big Cass and now that he has done that he has beaten both Enzo & Cass I wonder who will challenge Matt next for the title? Or better yet if Matt Hardy will defend his title at WWE Battleground?
- The Shining Stars of Epico & Primo I wonder when they will show up?
- Yes where is AJ Styles? I mean his team gets taken apart simultaneously by Team Bateman with Undertaker being taken out possibly their strongest member and then Team Styles tried to even the odds but the WWE Intercontinental Champion Punk he too gets taken out so does Rhodes and Ambrose when they try to even up the odds for Taker but no sign of AJ...it really makes you wonder doesn't it? It makes us wonder if Team Styles can trust their captain AJ Styles? I mean Team Bateman they might as well have the upper hand because they have something Styles and his team don't have and that is trust camaraderie and unity
- TJ Perkins/Aries feud I am all for that
- And Tyson Kidd beating Christian by DQ I mean it makes sense given that Kidd was about to beat Christian cleanly but then Jericho causes the DQ I mean it makes sense given that if it was a straight wrestling match Kidd would and could probably beat them both

KOTA IBUSHI DEF. MURPHY W/ BLAKE: Two weeks before TakeOver: R-Evolution at the CFE Arena, NXT was in the home stretch on the road to one of its biggest events to date. Kicking off tonight’s episode on the WWE Network was the Full Sail debut of the international sensation, Kota Ibushi. Ibushi, who will challenge Tyler Breeze for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship in a Wrestle Kingdom 8 rematch at TakeOver, took on Murphy in his first outing in front of the NXT Universe. The fans immediately took a liking to Ibushi, most of whom were very familiar with his stellar work all across the globe. At one point, Blake stepped onto the ring apron to try to create a distraction, but Ibushi literally gave Murphy a German Suplex into Blake. Ibushi followed up by planting Murphy onto the canvas with a Last Ride Powerbomb to get the victory. The fans in Full Sail rallied behind Ibushi, giving him a support system in the United States on his way to TakeOver in 14 days against ‘Prince Pretty.’
At this time, a vignette was shown that began with a limousine pulling up in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. When the driver opened the backseat door, Magnus, whose signing with NXT was announced back at TakeOver: Forever, emerged from the vehicle. “So, this is it. The WWE Performance Center. Let’s see what all the fuss is about,” Magnus said while removing his sunglasses. The video cut to Magnus walking down a hallway in the Performance Center that featured some of the WWE superstars who have made it out of NXT and onto the main roster. “Yeah, because she’s the kind of person we should be glorifying,” Magnus said when he came across a picture of Paige. “Gross. No thank you. Laughable,” Magnus reacted to pictures of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens in that order. He then walked into the part of the PC with rings and an entrance stage before turning back to the camera. “Hey, who am I?” Magnus asked before stepping onto the stage and ska-dancing to mock the NXT Champion, Sami Zayn. “How about this one?” Magnus then mocked NXT Women’s Champion Bayley’s entrance before declaring that the current crop of talent in the brand was one giant joke. “NXT struck gold at the perfect time. Any longer without me and you guys would be even further in the ground,” Magnus said to close out the video. Next week, Magnus steps into Full Sail University for the first time ever.
NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS RICOCHET & UHAA NATION DEF. MICHAEL BENNETT & CHRIS MASTERS W/ MARIA KANELLIS: Finishing off any business that was left unsettled after TakeOver: Forever, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation were able to put away Michael Bennett and Chris Masters after a Spin-out Powerbomb and 630 Senton combination to 'The Masterpiece.' While Ricochet and Uhaa have the momentum just two weeks before the Two-out-of-Three Falls match against The Addiction, Bennett and Masters' alliance seemed to be unsalvageable. After the contest, Bennett once again berated Masters, Maria Kanellis joining him this time. Adding this loss to their already failed endeavor against The Lucha Dragons recently, Bennett believed that Masters was only holding him down now. Instead of just leaving the ring like he did the last time, Masters stuck Bennett with a hard right hand shot! The NXT Universe popped for Masters' retaliation, 'The Masterpiece' leaving the ring while Maria checked on her downed husband.
In two weeks, one of the biggest matches in NXT history takes place at TakeOver: R-Evolution. In a Fatal Four Way match, the top starts of the brand will do battle with the NXT Championship. The official video package for the match aired, featuring "Burning Bridges" by The New Low, the official theme song for the main event. The video started off with Sami Zayn's NXT debut in the fall of 2012. 'The Underdog from the Underground' endured a year-long chase for the NXT Championship, coming close several times and even having the title in his possession before losing it in a matter of minutes back in May. At TakeOver: Forever, Zayn defeated Kevin Owens in a Texas Deathmatch to finally take his rightful place at the top of NXT as champion. During Zayn's rise to the mountaintop, two other well-known stars made their way to Full Sail University. Finn Balor and Hideo Itami made an immediate impact upon their debut at TakeOver in May, quickly becoming the NXT Tag Team Champions. After losing the titles, Itami stabbed Balor in the back and aligned himself with Paul Heyman. At WWE/NXT Unison, Balor - who showcased his 'Demon' persona for the first time - put Itami away to settle their rivalry for the time being. Since then, Balor and Itami have worked their ways into the NXT Championship picture, solidifying their spots in the main event at TakeOver: R-Evolution. Clips of Itami and Balor were then interrupted by a static screen that lead into a montage of the 'Cero Miedo' vignettes that aired for weeks towards the end of 2013. Pentagon was revealed to be the man behind the vignettes, along with Maxine, the two coming to NXT to fulfill the wishes of their unknown 'master.' After putting both Drake Younger and Solomon Crowe on the shelf by breaking their arms, Pentagon put NXT on notice and could no longer be denied a title opportunity. In two weeks, Zayn, Balor, Itami and Pentagon compete in what is guaranteed to be a classic Fatal Four Way match in the CFE Arena. Who will leave TakeOver as the NXT Champion?
Prior to the start of the main event, a graphic was shown for a massive 8-Man Tag Team match scheduled for next week. Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation will take on Hideo Itami, Pentagon and The Addiction. Plus, Magnus won't be the only superstar who makes his debut next week. No Way Jose arrives to Full Sail University with his infectious, festive and colorful personality.
NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION BAYLEY & BECKY LYNCH DEF. BILLIE KAY & PEYTON ROYCE VIA DISQUALIFICATION: While Bayley would have to wait two more weeks before getting her hands on Emma, the NXT Women's Champion had the opportunity to extract revenge against the other two Femme Fatales members. Becky Lynch fought alongside Bayley, 'The Irish Lass Kicker' taking the fight to Billie Kay and Peyton Royce as well. After Becky made the hot tag to Bayley, the NXT Women's Champion looked unstoppable against her foes. She waited patiently for Peyton to turn around, looking to deliver the Bayley-to-Belly. However, Emma would run down to ringside and pull Bayley out from underneath the bottom rope, attacking the NXT Women's Champion and causing the disqualification finish. Emma threw Bayley into the steel ring steps before heading into the ring, Peyton and Billie joining her in an assault onto Becky. Femme Fatales had Becky and Bayley outnumbered until Nicole Matthews ran down to the ring with one of Portia Perez's crutches, swinging it at the three women who put Portia on the shelf. Emma, Billie and Peyton evaded the ring while Nicole guarded Bayley and Becky, daring Femme Fatales to get back into the ring. Emma, Billie and Peyton can no longer claim to have the numbers advantage when they were standing across from three women who were ready to wage war against them.

February 7th, 2014 - After the signature WWE intro, a video package was shown to recap this past Monday’s main event on RAW. In the third Last Diva Standing match in history, AJ Lee put the WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Alexa Bliss in what would be the final title opportunity for ‘The Wicked Witch of WWE.’ In a contest that saw the inclusion of chairs, a ladder, the announce table, and even paper cuts and rubbing alcohol, it was the interference from three masked women who made the difference in the outcome. The dagger came in the form of Alexa throwing AJ onto thumbtacks before delivering a third Twisted Bliss. That time, AJ wasn’t able to make it back up to her feet in time and a new Women’s Champion was crowned. The era of Alexa Bliss begins tonight on SmackDown.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… The NEW WWE Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss!” The fans responded negatively to the arrival of Alexa as the new Women’s Champion made her way out to the stage, walking slowly while showing the battle wounds from her Last Diva Standing match against AJ Lee. Alexa put her right hand up for her signature pose, showing bandages across the sections of her fingers where AJ gave her paper cuts that she doused in rubbing alcohol. “Alexa Bliss went through hell and back on Monday, and now, she stands alone on top of the women’s division as its reigning champion,” Corey Graves said while Alexa stepped into the ring. ‘The Wicked Witch of WWE’ stepped onto the second rope and raised the championship with the center plate being openly displayed next to her face. Pyro shot from the stage, the celebration officially beginning for the new WWE Women’s Champion. Alexa then took a microphone, the WWE Universe trying to drown her out with boos. “You all knew this moment would come eventually, so shut up and listen to what I have to say!” Alexa shouted, which only made the boos even louder. “After I became the number one contender at Concrete Jungle, AJ Lee knew exactly what she was getting herself into. There’s a reason why every woman who I’ve been in this ring with has fallen at my feet. The Bella Twins. Natalya. Sofia Cortez. All of them learned the hard way that I am the future of the women’s division. AJ can claim that she had this masterplan all along, but the reality is that she was afraid of me. That’s why at the Royal Rumble and last week on SmackDown, she weaseled her way out of our matches. Monday came along and she thought that she had me right where she needed to because the only way that AJ could ever have a snowball’s chance in hell of beating was by having any and every weapon at her disposal. It’s just too bad for AJ that I beat her, no. Scratch that. I humiliated her at her own game and I finally, finally got what I deserve: The WWE Women’s Championship. So now, AJ wants to invoke her rematch clause. But she’s not going to do it on just any stage. She wants her rematch on the stage. AJ, understand right now that on April 6th, you’re not going to have the chance to hit me with chairs or give me paper cuts. FREAKING! PAPER CUTS! And that little fantasy that you have of piercing my skin with thumbtacks, yeah, that’s not going to happen because at WrestleMania, it’s just going to be the two of us and this ring. Get ready to go 0-2 at WrestleMania because if you couldn’t even beat Paige, you damn sure won’t beat me.” Alexa set her microphone down onto the canvas, believing that she was done for the evening. That wasn’t the case, however, as AJ Lee’s entrance music hit to a thunder ovation from the audience. AJ ran down to the ring, immediately taking Alexa down! AJ fired away with right hand strikes to the champion, who was trying to cover her face. A plethora of officials stormed onto the scene and tried to restrain AJ, but Alexa got to her feet and charged towards her. Both women were kept distant from each other, but it was clear that neither of them wanted to wait until WrestleMania or even Battleground for their next encounter.
Returning to SmackDown on SyFy, AJ Lee was shown being forcibly carried into the locker room by officials, the former WWE Women’s Champion shouting at them to let her go. “Hey, hey! That’s enough for now, guys. Let me handle this from her,” said Kurt Angle, the general manager of SmackDown Live. The officials finally let AJ go before leaving the scene, Angle telling her that while he understands her frustrations, he can’t allow her and Alexa Bliss to tear into one another under his watch. “I don’t care what you say, Kurt. I will get my hands on Alexa Bliss again tonight, and there isn’t anything that you or Shane can do to stop me.” AJ exited the picture, Angle’s facial expression showing that he knew no matter what he did, AJ and Alexa finding each other again tonight was inevitable.
CM PUNK DEF. KEVIN OWENS TO RETAIN THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: A huge title match to kick off SmackDown that was made as a result of Kevin Owens pinning CM Punk in a Tag Team match this past Monday on RAW. Initially, no members of either Team Styles or Team Bateman were present at ringside, a sight that pleased Punk since he felt that Cody Rhodes in particular couldn’t be trusted. Towards the end of the contest, Bobby Roode hit the ring through the audience, ‘The Glorious One’ being taken out by a Roundhouse Kick from Punk. While the official was busy trying to get Roode out of the ring, Owens grabbed the Intercontinental Title and attempted to hit Punk with the gold. However, Rhodes would then hit the ring and deliver the Disaster Kick to Owens. ‘The Prizefighter’ was dazed and walked right into a Go To Sleep that gave Punk the victory. ‘The Best in the World’ was handed back his Intercontinental Title as Rhodes raised his arm, Punk pulling away from him. “I told you I’ve got your back,” Rhodes said to Punk as the two stared down each other. Rhodes then extended his hand out, Punk hesitating to accept the handshake before ultimately doing so. WWE Champion AJ Styles still needs to prove to his teammates that he can be trusted, but for now, it looks like Punk and Rhodes can finally put any issues of theirs to the side and look after one another in the WarGames match at Battleground.
THE REVIVAL DEF. ANTONIO CESARO IN A HANDICAP MATCH: Looking to settle his score with The Revival, Antonio Cesaro took on the challenge of competing against Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder in a 2-on-1 Handicap match here tonight. Despite the valiant effort from Cesaro, ‘The Swiss Superman’ ultimately fell victim to The Shatter Machine. Dash and Dawson headed up the entrance ramp, Cesaro getting to his knees and staring the duo down while holding onto the ropes. “It’s like Dash and Dawson said on RAW. It’s nothing personal against Cesaro. It’s just top guy business,” Corey Graves said.
Backstage, AJ Lee was shown pacing back and forth in the locker room area, the former WWE Women’s Champion biding her time before she eventually and inevitably went after Alexa Bliss again. Shortly thereafter, SmackDown General Manager Kurt Angle walked into the room to present AJ with a contract that he quickly had drawn up. “This is probably a mistake on my part, but I’ve been in your position before, AJ. I know what it’s like to want nothing more than to get your hands on somebody for what they did to you, but then, an authority figure steps in the way of that. So… If you sign this contract, then tonight, you can have a Non-Sanctioned Fight against Alexa Bliss. The second that you sign this…” Angle said, AJ not allowing him to finish. She snatched the contract from his hands, immediately signing it. “… The second that you sign this, you acknowledge that whatever happens tonight is not WWE’s responsibility. I won’t be held accountable for anything that you or Alexa might do to each other.”
At this time, the ring was shown propped and ready for the contract signing to make the United States Championship match at Battleground official. Daniel Bryan was the first to make his way out to the ring, the ‘Yes!’ chants in full effect Des Moines. Bryan earned another opportunity at the United States Title last week by defeating Baron Corbin, Adam Cole and Adrian Neville in a Fatal Four Way Elimination match, just days after losing one title opportunity at the Royal Rumble. ” Quiet on the set! Can we please have quiet on the set?!” The arrival of The Miz and Maryse resulted in a plethora of boos raining down from the WWE Universe, ‘The Awesome One’ raising the United States Championship during his walk to the ring. “To say that there’s history between these two men would be an understatement, and after the contract is signed, another chapter in the rivalry between The Miz and Daniel Bryan will be written in three weeks,” Mauro Ranallo said. Before Bryan signed the contract, Miz picked up a microphone from the table and told him to remember what he said on RAW this past Monday. “You’re keeping something hidden from everybody, Daniel. And if it weren’t for inside connections that I have, I wouldn’t be able to share the truth with the WWE Universe. Now’s your chance to come clean and tell everyone the news yourself. Either way, the world is about to find out that their ‘superhero’ isn’t exactly invincible.” Bryan took a microphone for himself, telling Miz that he can dangle this ‘secret’ over his head all he wants. “The only reason I’ve not said anything is because I didn’t see a need to. As professional wrestlers, we all get hurt. It happens and I’m no different. But, if it’ll make you feel better, then I’ll take this moment to tell everybody that I spent this past weekend with the WWE’s medical staff, but everything is fine.” Bryan put his microphone down and signed the contract, believing that Miz would stop berating him about some ‘secret.’ “Really, Daniel? Really? Really? You think it’s that easy? You think that you can just tell these people that you’re hurt? Well, you just lost your chance to come clean. Now, let me go ahead and tell the WWE Universe just how hurt you are. You people know how AJ Styles wasn’t at RAW this past Monday because he was being evaluated by doctors? Well, so too was Daniel Bryan. See, for months now, Daniel has been having issues with his neck. And just like the ‘superhero’ that you all falsely believe he is, Daniel Bryan preserved and has fought through his injuries! But sooner or later, his body is going to fail him. He can’t hold up forever, especially when you consider how long he’s been an active competitor. This month makes four years of Daniel Bryan as a WWE superstar, but he had a decade’s worth of experience before then. A decade’s worth of accolades… And a decade’s worth of injuries. You beat your body up so badly on the independent scene that by the time you made it to the big leagues, you couldn’t take much more. Don’t downplay how serious this injury is, Daniel. You’re cleared for Battleground, but after you lose to me and fail to take my United States Championship, what state will your body be in then? Huh? If you aggravate your neck any further, you could end up having to retire. You could become paralyzed. Did you miss the part where the doctors told you that? Did you just somehow forget to tell everybody that just now? You’re inflicting permanent damage to your body for a temporary moment of glory. And I’d bet anything that you haven’t even told Brie about this yet. The one person who deserves to know more than anybody else and you’re hiding the truth from her. How do you plan on telling your wife that your future children might have to wheel their dad around the house because he was too stubborn to put his family before his career?” At that point, Bryan finally lashed out at Miz, leaping across the table to get to him. Bryan hit Miz with several forearm shots before getting to his feet and backing against a corner. Bryan ran towards Miz for a Corner Dropkick. The United States Champion, however, was able to move out of harm’s way, causing Bryan to fall back onto his head and neck. Bryan remained down while holding the back of his neck, concern rising since the WWE Universe knew that Bryan’s condition wasn’t ideal if Miz was to be believed. Miz then brought Bryan up to his feet, planting him with the Skull Crushing Finale. “And now… I sign the contract for Daniel Bryan’s final match,” Miz said before putting his signature on the dotted line. Miz raised the United States Title while standing over Bryan, ‘The Awesome One’ intending on retiring Bryan in three weeks at Battleground.
ADRIAN NEVILLE W/ TYSON KIDD DEF. CHRISTIAN W/ CHRIS JERICHO: Picking up where things left off on RAW, Adrian Neville found himself up against one of the individuals trying to "Take out the 'New Era,'" Christian. At one point in the match, Christian rolled Neville up with his feet on the middle rope, an act that was caught by the official. While Christian and Chris Jericho argued with the referee, Tyson Kidd stepped into the ring and took Jericho out with a Suicide Dive! During that distraction, Neville was able to roll Christian into an inside cradle to pick up the win! Neville rolled out to ringside, Kidd raising his arm as the celebrated a huge victory for 'The Man That Gravity Forgot.' Jericho and Christian continued to argue with the official, placing all of the blame for this loss onto him.
BARON CORBIN DEF. JUSTIN GABRIEL: A quick and very painful endeavor for Justin Gabriel as he went up against 'The Lone Wolf' Baron Corbin. Corbin was able to deliver the End of Days in rapid fashion and pin Gabriel to get the victory, his celebration being cut off by Braun Strowman. Strowman, who wasn't able to have his encounter with Samoa Joe on Monday because of Corbin, stepped into the ring and came face-to-face with him. The two behemoths locked eyes as the WWE Universe anticipated a collision, but instead, Strowman brought Gabriel up to his feet and planted him with a Powerslam. Strowman exited the ring, asserting his dominance against Corbin in the ongoing battle to see who truly is WWE's monster. Not wanting Strowman to get the upper hand, Corbin picked Gabriel up and hit him with a second End of Days! "I own this ring!" Corbin shouted at Strowman, who never once looked back at him. While Corbin and Strowman try to one-up the other, they can't forget about a certain pissed off 'Samoan Submission Machine.'
To close out SmackDown, AJ Lee made her way down to the ring for the second time this evening, and here second time in general without the WWE Women’s Championship. AJ carried a lead pipe in her hand, slamming it against the ring post before stepping through the ropes. “She’s a sore loser. Alexa Bliss beat her at her own game on Monday, so now, AJ wants to take it all out on the woman who proved that she’s just plain better than her,” Corey Graves asserted. AJ waited patiently in the ring, eager to get her Non-Sanctioned Fight with Alexa underway. Soon, the theme music of the Women’s Champion sounded as Alexa walked down the ramp, AJ meeting her there. Alexa dodged the shot from AJ’s lead pipe and struck her in the side of the head with the Women’s Title. Alexa took the lead pipe and struck AJ in the knee with it before walking away and heading into the ring. Alexa demanded a chair, soon receiving one and taking a seat in the center of the ring. “Get up, AJ!” Alexa shouted as AJ struggled to her feet after taking a beating with the lead pipe. AJ crawled into the ring, Alexa picking up her chair and slamming it into the back of AJ. With AJ laid out, Alexa headed to the top rope for Twisted Bliss. However, AJ was able to evade the aerial attack, the Women’s Champion cashing onto the canvas. AJ took the steel chair and threw it at the head of Alexa. AJ got a hold of Alexa and hit a Twist of Fate before rolling out to the ring, pulling up the ring skirt. AJ brought out a bag of thumbtacks in a sight similar to the Last Diva Standing match AJ was barely able to even lift the bag up before she was attacked by three masked women, presumably the same three from RAW. The three of them beat AJ down before rolling her into the ring, Alexa staring down at the woman who she’ll defend her championship against at WrestleMania. Alexa and the three masked women turned to the stage when they noticed the audience reacting to something. It turned out to be Kaitlyn dragging a beaten Sofia Cortez out onto the ramp, ‘The Hybrid Diva’ picking Sofia up and throwing her into the LED screen. Any possible assistance AJ would receive had been eliminated, but the former champion continued to fight back. She went after Alexa and the masked trio, managing t hold her own until Kaitlyn slid into the ring and took her out with a Spear. While Kaitlyn and the masked women stood over AJ, Alexa headed out to ringside and picked up the bag of thumbtacks. ‘The Wicked Witch of WWE’ opened the bag and poured all of the tacks out onto the lifeless body of AJ, sending a message to her that no matter what she tries, Alexa and company can get the better of her.
The three mysterious women then removed their masks and revealed themselves as the final members of Alexa Bliss’ WarGames team.
