I've never once in my life "blessed" someone when they sneezed. I've never really understood the point of saying it to someone whenever they sneezed.

When I was little I'd say "Blesh" because I had no idea what people were saying.

If anything I say Bless you... which usually comes out as Blesh-you. edit: When I was little I'd say "Blesh" because I had no idea what people were saying. aha, probably where I got it from. Talking about words we hate saying, I hate the word please.

I say bless you. I don't know what it means, but it means nothing to me.

I think instead of saying God Bless You after someone sneezes, we should start saying you are so good looking.

I say bless you, but when I sneeze it's awkward silence. Same here lol I'll say it when someone sneezes but when I sneeze it's all:

I say "Bless your face", reference to Tobuscus.

There is always Gesundheit. Which is German for "Good Health" yeah, I've tried saying that at times before but it feels weird too. I guess its just something you can't over think about.

You say it because in the 1700s, when you sneezed, people assumed you were possessed by an evil spirit. Fun game to play: when someone sneezes, make a big scene and yell "GET OUT OF HIM! GET OUT OF HIM YOU MONSTER!". And them explain the story.

I was told that you say it because when you sneeze, your heart skips a beat....I don't know if that's true or not that's just what I was told haha
I say bless you, just kinda comes naturally I guess, I am religious but not to the degree my family would like me to be haha

Is there an exact reason why people say it? I have heard it was a sign of the devil, I've heard supposedly it makes your heart stop, any particular reason?

I don't say it, and I almost prefer that people don't say it to me when I sneeze.
