This is the best way to build up a Wrestlemania. With Rock/Cena, Taker/Trips, and Punk/Jericho, if they don't fight up to the PPV, that makes you want to see them in the ring more. What would make the main event of WM special if Rock and Cena fought each other each week? People are going to buy the show to finally see them in the ring together.

We might still see some confrontations on Smackdown, granted, only a couple of rivalries, but still.
But I generally agree that there has been far too much talking and not enough physicality.
Lets hope 'Mania makes up for it!

Yup. I cant believe they dropped the ball with this years build up. The most physically built match on the card is Randy Orton vs. Kane, and that made was made like, three weeks ago. Its easily one of the most poorly built Mania's in my book... Triple H should have been competing on RAW and Taker should be playing mind games... and yet both were not on the go-home Raw. Rock and Cena should have been coming to blows weeks ago - Rock and Stone Cold together showed us that you can have a promo that ends physically, and still be able to be in the ring together and do a promo the following week... just expect payback. Jericho hasnt been on Raw in three weeks to build the WWE Championship match. that bullsh*t. On the go-home raw, you dont have CM Punk put SOMEONE ELSE in the anaconda vice after a vicious beatdown and yell "THIS IS YOU JERICHO!"..... THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN JERICHO IN THE VICE. Bryan/Sheamus? Meh. Kane and Orton have been fighting every week and while its not the story it could have been, they at least showed me why they want to actually fight and hurt each other on the biggest show of them all. This. But it looks like WWE really wants everyone to tune into WM to see all those big names go at it instead of us watching them get physical on free tv, Its smart so that we don't get any free previews and that the only way to see these guys actually get physical is to order WM. Raw was lame.

I think its a brilliant move on the WWE's part to not have Rock and Cena fight at all before Mania. Keeps the match even more special. How much have they"fought" a few rock bottoms and AA's?
Today too many "Big Matches" have been seen already on past PPVs and free TV
Last night also was less about put down and more about why each need to win the match, gave it a different feel. This is the first time in a while a match in the WWE has had this big and special kind of feel.

I like that there wasn't too much physicality. If we saw them fight a lot then why the hell are we waiting for Wrestlemania? We would have already seen them fight. And part of the excitement was that they had never fought before. Except for when Cena gave The Rock an Attitude Adjustment, and when The Rock rock bottomed Cena, and when The Rock rock bottomed him again. Those weren't fights. It was one move each time.

Makes me laugh, people complain when two guys are in big match and they have already fought in the past, and now we are being made to wait to see Rock/ Cena, and Triple H/ Undertaker finally go at it, people are complaining that they haven't been let loose on each other already.
Example #157 of 'Some fans don't know what the hell they want.'

Example #157 of 'Some fans don't know what the hell they want.' Well that's the point, Since HHH and Taker have already faced off at WM twice the fans want to see them go at it but since this is billed as the end of an era and its a HIAC match with HBK as the Ref the WWE obviously wants us to wait until WM to see these guys go at it. As for Rock and Cena i think its a smart move keeping them from getting physical but a brawl would have been epic.

If they're gonna have these special attraction matches with guys not even on the roster, they shouldn't waste the time building it up with the same monotonous in ring talking. With matches like End Of An Era, it speaks enough for itself that it doesn't need almost a half hour on Raw.
That said, the Punk/Jericho matches is the only match that is being properly built and feels like a Wrestlemania feud.
