I said he was lacking control in the 2nd and 3rd, forgot to mention that he picked it up again in the 4th and 5th.
Anyway, what a game that was. JPA gets another homer in his first game of the season for the third year straight and its the longest opening day game in history.

Anybody else believe that the Royals could finish 2nd? In that division, sure. A LOT of things need to go right for them 1. Hosmer needs to be an MVP candidate 2. Moustakas needs to take a step forward 3. They need Broxton to not be fat 4. Holland/Crow need to be dominant again 5. Alex Gordon needs to keep progressing 6. Health 7. Their rotation needs to be solid/at least passable. That division sucks, they could easily finish 2nd, but all those things and then some need to go right

They might be the Diamondbacks of last year... MIGHT

Here it is..the next 4-5 years will probably go down as the best era in Angels baseball history if everything goes according to plan. We have the manager, the pitching, the prospects and we finally have an offense worth talking about..
My predictions are as followed --->
NL East: Phillies NL West: Diamondbacks NL Central: Cardinals NL Wild Cards: Braves and Dodgers
AL East: Yankees AL West: Angels AL Central: Tigers AL Wild Card: Rangers and Red Sox
NL Champions: Phillies or Braves
AL Champions: Tigers or Angels
CY Youngs: Roy Halladay or Tim Lincecum & Felix Hernandez or Dan Haren (or any of the other 3 Angels starters, preferably Jered Weaver. They're THAT good)
MVPs: Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols

NL East: Phillies NL Central: Reds NL West: Diamondbacks Wild Card: Braves Wild Card: Cardinals
AL East: Yankees AL Central: Tigers AL West: Rangers Wild Card: Red Sox Wild Card: Angels
World Series: Braves vs. Rangers
Cy Youngs: Roy Halladay and Justin Verlander
MVPs: Andrew McCutchen and Albert Pujols
Well...there we are. And no, McCutchen is not just me being a homer. Despite my bitching, the team is much better this year than it has been in years, and with McCutchen finally getting that contract he's wanted and with the skill he already has and is sure to gain throughout the season, I see him tearing through everyone this year.

VINTAGE White Sox.
Out hit the opponents? Check. Come from behind to tie the game? Check. Give up the go ahead run to give a loss for the starter who pitched well? Check.
I know it's only opening day and anything can happen, but seems like another case of same story, different season.

Anybody else believe that the Royals could finish 2nd? I am going to pick the Royals to suck until they prove that they don't. I've been let down by them way too many years now.

That's the thing though, just because he's a fan, that doesn't mean he can't be a realist. Every season I want the Pirates to win the World Series, but knowing their talent level, every season I know to not expect much more that a 70 win season and maybe a bright spot of a 12-15 game winning pitcher and a 30 HR guy, like last season.

Hes not a fan. Hes debby downer, about EVERYTHING. Whines aboiut the Phillies and then randomly drops his Royals fandom on us whenever he wants to. Its a cry for attention, I mean why does he hate Carlos Ruiz? Things change, constantly bitching about stuff that happened TWENTY YEARS ago is embarrassing. Royals will not suck this year, but because they sucked in 1999 means Hulk can constantly bring it up.

Also, I can not wait for Lorenzo to jump in and whine about Girardi and question the Yankees "heart" and if Rivera is truly finished.

"Jack3d" I was making fun of what Lorenzo/Yankee fans will post about the game today, kinda like Red Sox fans yesterday saying we should have kept Papelbon and move Bard into the pen.
