Did the pipe in the fan reaction or were they actually popping for him? I thought he looked good. They haven't had a legit beast in a while.

His squash was far better than Tensai's, but he's just whatever. Barry Stevens honestly should have been given the entire time.
I liked Skip as Nexus' enforcer, and his YYYWID gig on NXT, and that was it.
The cutting to the back thing was terribly awkward.

I like him, but he can't wear RVD singlets if he's supposed to be a monster

Lmao who on earth is that? Barry Stevens. All we know about him is he is from Queens, NY and weighs 160 lbs. He also apparently gets his tattoos from the same artists as Michael Cole.

I despised this guy as Skip Sheffield in Nexus..and I actually liked seeing him as Ryback. He comes off as a combination of Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar and looked great in the small time he was there.
If his mic skills are solid, I could see msyelf getting it his character. The painted singlet can go though.

Just had a chance to watch his debut... What was up with A. the jobber getting mic time and B. the constant showing of the rest of the rest of the lower-level talent backstage? That match did nothing for me, and I kinda liked Skip, at least for "Yip, yip, yip... What it do."

The jobber got mic time to clearly establish Ryback as a face to the crowd. Simple really.

The painted singlet can go though. Funny you say this, because I thought the first part, which in my mind automatically negated the possibility of the second part. In my mind all he could do on the mic was growl and froth at the mouth... which I'd be okay with. Honestly he reminded me of the guy from the Planet Fitness commercials... "I pick things up and put them down."

What's his gimmick supposed to be? His taunting reminded me of Heidenreich and he looks like Goldberg with a Rob Van Dam singlet. Not sure what to think in all honesty. Were there any vignettes or anything to hype his debut? If there weren't any they definitely should have used some and I almost fell to the floor at the Chong Li reference the first Bloodsport movie is one of my favorite movies of all time since I was 6 when my dad let me watch whatever I wanted since my parents were divorced
