Don't get me wrong, the attitude era had some great wrestlers and matches, but why does every fan want it back? WWE doesn't need the attitude era back to be good. It just annoys me seeing that on every youtube video and fb status. Just look at Nexus and the Punk-Cena feud, They were great feuds and matches and none had racy content, or swears, or blood.

I think when they say things like "We want the Attitude Era back," they're just basically saying "We want good television." And they received it with Punk/Cena in 2011, I agree. I think we need more stuff like that.

I ask myself that too. The attitude era had some great stuff, but a lot of it was pretty crappy with the stupid gimmicks and whatnot.

I am a huge fan of the attitude era, always will be because of the stars in their prime along with x-rated tv and gripping storylines.

They built characters in the attitude era. Instead of having to get stars from the previous era they just made theyre own. also everyone on the roster meant something. Right on the head with this one, well done.

Wrestling was fun and so much better back then obviously. That or I was younger and did not give a crap about being a snobby stuck up wrestling fan who should just watch the ing product~ Hate to break it to people, most people who loved it when they was a kid and dislike it now have simply grown out of it but are still to attached to say goodbye, and live for those rare moments that make them mark out. Meh, that's my take it on.

That last bit is the main bit for me. I love wrestling, but the thing i liked about the attitude era is that even the undercard had a story going on, that's the one thing i want to see worked on, including the whole roster. But we do get some great stuff, I think it's taken for granted, people need to stop living in the past.

I'm with you man: every youtube video from today is full of cliched crap like BRING BACK TV14 WE SICK OF PG ATTITUDE ERA FOREVER!!!"
Hell they even write stuff like "Ahh the good old days, today's WWE sucks" on a video of Big Show returning in 2004.
Then there's the mentally unstable Kane fans.

It's not just the attitude era. It's just people on youtube love every year that isn't the current. I've seen clips from 2009 saying "wwe was sooo good back then, now it suckzz."

I'm gonna start saying "BRING BACK THE ROCK N' WRESTLING ERA!" on every Youtube video I see from now on (even if the video has nothing to do with wrestling).

I think the things people miss isn't necessarily the violence, sex, gestures, language, etc.
I think most people miss the awesome sold out crowds, the fact that it seemed like every superstar had a storyline (no matter how lame) and the fact that every week was "must see TV".
That's the stuff I miss anyway.

Most of todays wrestling fans didnt become wrestling fans until wrestling was "cool"....also known as the Attitude Era. It could be worse, the ones who werent a fan before the attitude era and werent ones after are the annoying ones to talk to.

WWF/E just had a much better feel and look back in the day. WWE today is to bright or something and looks to computerized. I know that sounds weird but meh
