I upgraded my pre-order to the special edition today at GameStop. I sold my books back to my college and scored a hundred bucks, so I figured why not bump it up because I already had the regular edition almost paid off. Can't wait.

Maybe its because there hasn't been a game since Battlefield 3 last October that I've really gotten super excited for, but I am SUPER PUMPED to play this. I just watched the special GTTV did on Spike, and it was pretty good. It showed a lot of good stuff about the multiplayer, and gameplay. They probably showed more on the show than R* has showed in all of their weekly vids for MP3.

I pray that Colonial Marines is good. I don't see why it can't be if they actually put some horror into the campaign and the aliens are not just bullet sponges. I mean it's already got four player co-op confirmed and I fully expect some kind of survival/horde type mode.

Well tomorrows the big day (technically 2 days), midnight launch at gamestop for me tomorrow to pick up my special edition. I'm Chase_618 on PSN if anyone wants to crew up, just send me a friend request and tag it "WF" or something.

Gonna pick this up tomorrow around noon. So stoked. Haven't been this excited for a game since LA Noire last year.

I can't wait to play this game. I saw that IGN said the campaign is 12 hours long which is fine with me. I love a good single player game and honestly the campaign is all I am buying this game for. I couldn't care less about the multiplayer.

I got the Limited Edition coming in today, I got the Rockstar Pass ordered. I bought a PS3 Stereo Headset. I think I'm "maxed" out for a great gaming time.
Oh, if anyone has the following, PM me-we can work out a cash deal for the DLC and stuff I can't get my hands on.
Playstation 3 only, please.
Multiplayer
-"Death Force" Burst -"Pill Bottle" Loadout Item -"Max Payne Original" Multiplayer Classic Character Skin
Physical Pre-Order Incentives
-Max Payne 3 Bullet Pen -Max Payne 3 U.F.E. Patch

Just picked up my special edition pre-order at Game Stop today. Only cleared the first chapter so far, but already love the game. The bullet slowdown into the enemies is just sick.

I don't care for the multiplayer at all. I played three matches and did quite well in all of them and I found it to be boring.

Did some trade ins and got it today. It's pretty awesome so far and I take back everything I said about this not looking like a Max Payne game. It's damn awesome

The single player is fun from what I have played so far. I don't think the game is a 9/10 like most sites are saying, I am more in line with gametrailers when they gave it a 7.6/10. Overall I am enjoying it, just not as much as I expected.

I'm enjoying it a lot. I've mostly been playing the multiplayer, which is really fun IMO. I hated the snap on aim assist in red dead, but for this it works better, plus there's the option of free aim. Diving off a building in bullet time and gunning down a guy on the ground is just never going to get old. It just looks way too cool. I've played about 2 hours of the story mode, and it is awesome. Rockstar just knows how to get it done in terms of story. I am going to go ahead and throw it out there, this is definitely a game of the year candidate. It really seems to have a nice balance of multiplayer and single player. They are both super fun to me, and most games it usually goes one way or the other. Based on how good the single player and multiplayer is, combined with how socially connected Rockstar made the game, I'd say this is definitely worth picking up.

I'm on the "Great American Savior" chapter now.
The last one, on the boat, Christ it was hard. I kept running out of bullets (I was rocking dual Golden TMPs). I finally Foward Shootdodged and ran into the adjacent room, picked them off since they couldnt see me under the top floor balcony. I was out of bullets, but luckily one revolver was out. I picked it up, just in enough time to hear the screams of one of the commandos above me put an FAL into my face.
Thank God I built up enough Bullet Time. I quickly activated it and put a round into his skull. Thankfully Havok physics worked to my advantage and his body fell forward, dropping the FAL onto my deck-fully loaded.
I crouchedwalked with paranoid yet hostile intentions up to the final deck. An off to the side commando caught me with a round to my shoulder, but I put an end to any further retaliation with a quick burst from the FAL. I turned and dispatched my two other adversaries in similar fashion. I walked up to the deck door-not realizing it auto opened. Two more cammandos rushed forward. I took a round in the chest, but instinctively I Shootdodged backwards panic firing the FAL. Three bodies hit the ground-but only one rose up.
On the other hand, if you guys don't have a headset-get the PS3 wireless stereo one-I got mines off Craigslist for $30. It's the most immerse headset I've ever had and it's perfect for MP3.
Chase, I saw you online the other night-I apologize for not joining you on a mutilplayer rampage-I was too engrossed in the main campaign. I promise this week we will tear it up.

I beat it the day after I got it. Amazing. The online has me addicted now, but I'm gonna have set it down for awhile when Ghost Recon comes out.
