To me, the single reason as to why Mattel can be better is the $$$$. Mattel are a huge and widely reknown toy manufacturer and that means they have larger cash flow and all.
Therefore I think they have the money and all to make figures with 100% effort everytime, not reusing and cutting as jakks has done.
I think this is an enormous gain for collectors as at Mattel, the potential is huge!

My biggest problem with Mattel is that they are the masters of the repaint. I have no doubt that they will reuse parts etc. I'm not saying the line won't be good. It will most likely be good. But I think if people are thinking that they aren't going to reuse parts etc...they are in for a massive letdown. Also, fully expect the price to be about 2 dollars higher than the current figs (if not more)

TBH I've never had a problem with repaints it's the unrealistic muscles they do, if they do they same on wrestling figures like marvel did to tna figs I probably wont get em.

As much as I love my Classics from Jakks...Let's be honest 90% of the RA torsos and arms sculpts are by no means "realistic" when it comes to the human anatomy. As for what we'll see from Mattel...I'd guess Mattel will be like Jakks was to start off. We'll see a few basic torso's, legs, arms. That's what they seem to be doing with their other collector based line ... the DCUC. In the first 3 waves so far there's about 3 or 4 different torsos being used for the "standard sized" guys (guys like Batman, Superman, Orion, Nightwing, Green Lantern) with different forearms, crotch pieces and lower legs. They've also made specific sculpts for others (Robin, Etrigan, Aquaman, BAF Grundy, BAF Gorilla Grodd, BAF Rex Mason, Penguin) So I'd guess they'll do the same with the WWE. The Horsemen do hide/blend the common parts very well on their sculpts.
