Bound for Glory Series Report - 7/5 Edition
This week on Impact Wrestling, only one Bound for Glory series matchup took place, however it was one big enough to warrant a spotlight all its own. Series favorites Jeff Hardy and James Storm squared off in a battle that would prove to be do or die for Hardy, who was floating in the bottom half of the leaderboard. After a back and forth contest, Hardy was able to edge out Storm, and vaulting himself into a tie for 3rd place. Hardy will look to continue the momentum heading into a TNA Live Event tomorrow night where he will be a part of one of two BFG series matches in what will be a big week for the series.
UPCOMING BOUND FOR GLORY SERIES MATCHES:
Live Event - July 6: North Charleston, South Carolina
Jeff Hardy vs Christopher Daniels Kurt Angle vs The Pope
Pay Per View Event - July 8: Destination X
Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe
Impact Wrestling Live - July 12: Orlando, Florida
Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson
Looking at the week ahead, Kurt Angle has the potential for a huge week in the points. Will the Olympic Hero catapult himself to the top of the leaderboard? We'll find out this week as the BFG series rolls on!

After Destination X, I think Joe is going to win now. Joe vs Aries in the main event would be amazing.

My apologies for the late update, I was at a concert last night so I didn't get to see Impact until tonight.

Updated standings as of 8/10/12:
1. James Storm - 66 2. Samoa Joe – 54 3. Kurt Angle - 48 4. Mr. Anderson - 40 5. Jeff Hardy – 35 5. Rob Van Dam - 35 6. Chris Daniels - 33 7. Bully Ray - 28 8. Magnus – 21 9. AJ Styles - 16 10. The Pope - 7 11. Robbie E – 5
Also, these are the only matches left that can take place in the series after Hardcore Justice:
Hardy v. Ray Hardy v. Angle Anderson v. Ray RVD v. Ray RVD v. Styles RVD v. Pope RVD v. Storm Joe v. Hardy Joe v. Magnus Joe v. Styles Styles v. Pope Styles v. Ray Styles v. Daniels Robbie v. Magnus Robbie v. Pope
Anderson and Storm only have one match left in the series. Considering that, and how Open Fight Night always has all 12 members in the series competing, I'd expect to see these matches on OFN (from the list above):
Anderson v. Ray Storm v. Rob Van Dam Robbie E v. The Pope Samoa Joe v. Magnus Jeff Hardy v. Kurt Angle Chris Daniels v. AJ Styles
Then, the other 9 matches that have yet to take place will occur at Live Events or on the other episodes of Impact leading to No Surrender where the final four face off in elimination matches to determine the winner of the series.
I expect to see Storm, Joe, Hardy and Angle in the final four at No Surrender with Storm winning the series.

For the final four I expect it to be Storm, Joe, Angle, and either Hardy/Anderson. It depends who wins the matches this Sunday. And those matches for OFN would be great.

Still makes the most sense to me to have Joe and Storm come to a dead tie. They then need a blow off tie breaker match, and then the Aces and 8's thing plays out, which should lead to Roode vs Storm at BFG. That's the way I'd do it anyway. Then Joe vs Aries can happen for the World Title, which I really, really, want to see happen in a big match format.

Due to the injury suffered by the Pope at the hands of Aces and 8's, he is eliminated from the BFG series.

Wow, RVD/Bully Ray is actually a really big match. If Hardy wins his match than whoever loses that one is out of the series.

So now we have our Final Four. James Storm, Bully Ray, Samoa Joe, and Jeff Hardy.
I'm pulling for a Storm/Joe final and Joe to take the whole thing.

I will be so happy if Joe wins. Aries vs Ray would be good, Hardy vs Aries would be good, Storm vs Aries would be good, but Joe vs Aries would be amazing.
