One of the workers was setting up a whole section of an aisle today for the TMNT figs. They don't have a whole lot in stock right now, but he did say that they're getting in the Sewer Lair soon and that they can't keep the basic figures on the pegs. These things are flying!

i have seen in a few different places that the lair has a release date of the 10th.. but im also guessing that its going to be at least $100-$120... its huge... i want it.. but more so to make a dio with it..
and this stuff is flying from the TRUs around here.. all three i hit the other day had NO single figures... one each of the 12 inch ones left.. and only a few deluxe and basic vehicles.. maybe a shellraiser or two.... its good to see this stuff sell like this ... should mean progress to the line... and i have yet to see a kid look at it .. but i have also not seen any collectors pick anything up..

OK, so my TRU has a whole 8 ft. section of TMNT stuff, PLUS and endcap! They had the Sewer Lair, they had the Classics. They had FIFTEEN empty pegs for the Basic Nickelodeon Turtles. TRU looks like the place to go for Turtle stuff. Unfortunately, the lair is $120, but it's HUGE! Classics are $17 and they still had a bunch left when I left. I snapped a few pics:

Just realized these were out. Classics are $17. How much are the new versions? $9?

I like them and I bought them anyways, but I wish they were more in scale with their 80's counterparts.

anyone care to weigh in on whether we'll see a wave 2 of the Classic Collection?
Since wave 1 was almost in stores by SDCC I was kinda expecting wave 2 to be shown/announced there, but pretty sure it wasn't mentioned. Maybe they're waiting to see how well wave 1 sells?
I get the impression the first wave is selling pretty well, anyone disagree?
Would be such a shame to not get more characters. I'd at least like to see Splinter, Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop.

Pretty cool how Mikey is smaller than the other three, just like the bio on the back of his card says.

I live in a small city of around 100K where toys usually sit for months. I picked up a full set of classics at Hastings 2 days ago and went back yesterday to get Raphael for my son. Today the rest were gone. Target had their shipment in and there was quite a crowd picking it over. In my area, at least, the line is doing very well. I have started repainting eyes and teeth.

The Playmates site mentioned a second wave of the Nick figures would be out by early fall which could mean October. If there is another wave of Classics I would expect them to post news on their own site with a Christmas release at the earliest.

It's crazy, if you look at the new basic turtles (meaning the four tutrtles) they don't re-use any parts. Each turtle has his own legs, arms, shell, etc. Pretty solid of them to do. Maybe Playmates should take over the WWE line.

Maybe Playmates should take over the WWE line. Yeah. The unique sculpts and the great articulation really add to these guys. Plus the new style is really cool IMO. Couple all that with the weapons rack for retro-nostalgia feeling, at under 10 bucks per figure, you've got a great start to a promising toy line. I want to get the classics but I'll probably wait until I have a bit more money. They look awesome though, and the size doesn't bother me at all.

Is every Classic Donatello cock-eyed? I haven't seen 1 that wasn't yet.
