The local toy collectable store here finally got the classics in. I picked up Mike today and will go back for Don when I get some more money.

My TRU literally had these for 2 days about a month and a half ago. I went in on Tuesday, got Mike and Don, went back the next day and got Leo and Raph, and the store never got anymore in since and no TRU I've been to has had them either.
I'm glad I got them when I did. I didn't want to have to buy them online and risk getting googly eyes.

I've yet to see any of the classic turtles around here and at this point, I'm doubting I ever will.
My area sucks for cool toys. I never found The Walking Dead toys either

they were buy 2 get one free at TRU. I got a couple foot soldiers and a splinter to paint brown eventually.
Krang, Shredder, and April don't appeal to me, at least for now. I wish Krang and Shredder were a bit taller.

How many foot soldiers should I buy in order to have an "army"? I currently have 8.

So the new series just premiered and I loved the first episode. This is way better than the last remake they tried to do of the turtles.
The only thing that I kind of didn't like is how they are doing the Krang character. Making him into an army of robots with brains just seems really weird.

Krang was inspired by the Utrom's in the the original TMNT comics by published my Mirage. In large, while it isn't fully accurate, I'm really surprised they went with what is a more comic accurate direction with their "Kraangs" in this new series. For those who never read the Mirage books, the Utrom race had a facility in NYC... it was called *dun dun dunnnnn*, T.C.R.I.

I really enjoyed that first episode. and Im still loving all the new toys!
I saw that some people are finding the Basic assortment Metal Head and Dogpound figures at Wal Mart, so keep an eye out.
Has anyone found the TMNT CLASSICS in any retail store other than Toys R Us?? I swear I cant find these things. I keep finding where they should be, but there ar no figures LOL.

So it looks like they are just adding three new characters into the assortment. I wonder why they didn't just make a series 2 instead.

Wal-Mart seems to be trying to shrink their action figure space and Target only gets interested in new lines if the other retailers are all over them. Add to that the fears that over ordering this holiday season could kill the already expected small profit margin and anything other than the Nick figures are going to be harder to find. It's nice to see the wave 2 figures hitting eBay. I just hope they hit in large enough numbers to be found easily.

I just got around to watching the first episode. I really enjoyed it, however I'm disappointed that Rock Steady and Bebop aren't going to be in this season. I loved the April character though I will be getting that figure for sure,
-edit: name corrections lol

I loved the April character though I will be getting that figure for sure, Facepalm I liked the new episodes. I thought it was interesting that they chose to go the route of Splinter being a former human rather than a mutated rat, kind of tips the hat to the '80s cartoon. Also, calling the aliens the "Kraang" instead of the "Utroms" is a nice nod to the old cartoon. The fight scenes were all cool, and I actually liked how, when the fights began, the turtles' eyes would go blank - conveys a cool emotion in the scene. The only weird thing for me was hearing Raphael's '80s voice coming from the 2012 Donatello...I keep picturing Raph talking when Don's voice is coming from off-screen, haha. I'll probably get used to it

The show was pretty good. I like that there already incorporating a few classic characters along with some new ones. Hopefully they get around to the Rat King, Casey Jones, Mondo Gecko as they were some of the popular ones fron the original

I hope to get Mikey and Leo soon. Although I might pick up April and Leo before I buy Mikey. Since April and Donnie are going to have a fling in this series.

I'll look for them and repost them here once I find them. Edit: Found the Rat King images:
