I also thought it was ridiculous when AJ announced Cena & Big show in a triple threat at SS, & Punk ran back out on stage to complain like he was scared of a triple threat...

I like the new hell CM Punk. I love the fact that he puts it out there that the WWE Champ should be the main focus of the show and the show should end with him as for the whiny trying to get out of matches is a classic 80's wrestling heel. I think its great i feel like no matter what they give Punk he will be able to pull it off. Not everyone needs to be bad ass.

If he's going to face The Rock, why can't he be face? We need more heel/heel, face/face matches and feuds. CM Punk was perfect the way he was. WWE didn't have to ruin him.

I've enjoyed it do far. He's still been telling the truth, which is nice.
Has he been more cowardly than I've like? Sure. But if they want Punk the be heel, this is the only way to go about it. It's hard to make a tough guy a heel anymore. and as much as people already love Punk, it would be doubly hard.

it's really watered down and not coherent in direction. That's my problem with it too. There's a difference between slow burn heel turn and complete and utter confusion, and I feel his current situation falls under the latter. One minute he's a badass who just doesn't give a crap who he's beating up, the next minute he's a cowardly, cookie-cutter heel. It makes no sense. I would fine with everything he's done thus far if he hadn't bitched about the triple threat. That made absolutely no sense to me.

For people that don't remember Austin was a cowardly heel in 2001 and demanded respect and hell! even complained and whined about being in a triple threat with Benoit and Jericho...sound familiar?
People like to whine and complain for the sake of whining and complaining. This isn't the first time WWE has done this certainly isn't the last time.

It was a complete and total character change. Stone Cold sold out. That was the whole point. Punk just attacked a babyface. So what? That doesn't constitute a complete change in personality and toughness.

Yeah, I agree. His new character direction is just, bleh. But that's WWE for ya.

If he starts showing he's like drinking/drugging and no longer straight edge (which I doubt we'd see with the PG era) then I say he's doing a good job with the heel thing. But if he keeps "straight edge" stuff and tries to be heel I don't think it'll work nearly as well.

I've never liked CM Punk before in my life, but that promo he cut where he told Lawler off made me somewhat of a fan.

I like what they're doing with Punk's character as a tweener/edgy heel. Better than the usual complete 180 they pull with turning faces into heels.

I don't care what Punk does, it's awesome. That's why I'm a FAN of his.
I like it better when he's a face because in the WWE, faces always win and heels are always made to look weak. So Punk turning is almost guaranteeing he'll be dropping the title soon. Plus I enjoy when the crowd pops for him, and not just the smark "adult male fans" but the entire audience

I think it's just sad that WWE had no courage of pushing him as the top face. So now they make him the top heel, which in the last few years, just means another opponent for Cena.

I've been so happy with face Punk over the last year, cheerleading and alphabets aside.
I feel this heel turn is completely out of place, unnecessary and has or will start bleeding out all of what Punk accomplished over the past year, getting his personality and character over with every crowd.
I'm all for them getting Cena and Punk back to business, the fact it has taken a year is laughable because it was so hot. It doesn't have to be so black and white however, it can be Face CM Punk vs Face John Cena and let the crowd be involved in whichever way they choose to be. I think those scenarios make for the most interesting because both characters can switch gears during the course of a feud and adds that element of spontaneity to a match or feud.
As of now it looks like it's ANOTHER round of bitchass heel vs "super-face" and Punk is playing the bitch which is horrible.
Who knows, maybe by the end of SS we'll be watching Punk, Brock and Heyman standing victorious and glouriously over H & Cena with Big Show splattered over an announce desk somewhere and we can all be happy....... I was happy before.

I don't think Punk should be Heel or Face, I think Punk would just be best as Punk himself
