That's great. Don't give me heel heat but when Battle Packs Sin Cara/Bryan hit stores, I hit the Wal-Mart isle to see a kid have the last set. This really pissed me off as I had missed the set online the previous week, and now this kid had it in his own hands. I asked him if I could have it and he said sure, and gave it to me. I don't know if he was really going to buy it but when he saw the Rock/Cena set he said "eh, I like these better anyway". Oh well. lol. I didn't see the set until 2 months later. Thankfully I got it then.

Why would a 11 year old kid want a Yoko so bad? he retired before the kid was even born.

I coud see if it was a rare flashback fig but a battle pack basic set?? I would feel really weird if I did that to a kid, I would just wait till he put it down or find another.

That's a really nice thing to do. My question is how does the 11 year old kid know who Yoko is?? I highly doubt he does not know who he is or watched any of his matches.

That's very nice of you. I hope the wrestling figure God will shine opportunities of greatness in your way.

That's great man, +1 for you. but honestly, if I found a figure that I wanted and a kid came up looking for that figure, I wouldn't give it to him. just my two cents. Yup. I would've been thinking "Hehe thats right ya little bastard, I beat ya to it!" No... ... ... Yes I would. But you're a good guy for helping the little guy out. Although If you have my kind of luck, he prolly snatched it up for his big brother whose 30 years old and told him to be on the look out for a Cocotuna.

I guess this just depends on how obsessed you are with a piece of plastic. That's nice of you to do. Would of be funny if the kid said "hey dad how much did you say we could sell this one for? " haha

+1 for ya! It is great to see someone doing this. It just burns me up about other lines like Marvel universe when people army build with over 50 of the same figure. Many kids are disappointed they cannot find their favorites because some guy is doing this. Does one REALLY need 50 multiple men? Can´t 5 work?

Good for you, that's awesome that you made a kids day....but with Mattel's hot garbage distribution, you might never see Yokozuna again.
There have been times where I was in the toy isle and I've helped parents and kids find something they were looking for when there's nothing in particular at the store I want that day, but if I find something I want, it's fist come first serve and they'll have to pry it from my cold dead hand.
I've had people try and get me to give them stuff or offer to buy it off me in the parking lot....but this stuff is so hard to find that I just can't take the chance. I've been lucky and found every Mattel I've wanted so far until Battle Pack 16 and Elite 16 which I have yet to find, but so many of the figures I've only found ONCE, so I know that passing on something is a HUGE RISK. Especially for a chase figure.

Yes I know people are saying that he may not know who Yoko is but that is false big time! I am 20. When I first got into wrestling, my dad was in the biz as a licensed time keeper and had me watch old wrestling tapes so I got to know/meet guys like Bruno and Raging Bull Manny Fernandez. Also got to watch Ivan Putski, Dick The Bruiser, Gorilla Monsoon, Chavo sr etc. (as well as the WWF 80s stuff and NWA, early WCW etc) So age doesn't matter.
Also, I gave it to him because all in all, these things are toys. I pity those that would think for themselves first because there's more important stuff than plastic toys. Besides, what was the figure gonna do? Stand on a shelf or be used in a pic fed?

To everyone that says "why would the kid want a figure of a guy he never watched?"
I was born in 1990 and got into wrestling in 98 so I never got to see the ultimate warrior or Dusty Rhodes. But yet last year I was going crazy to find a Legends Dusty and a DM warrior figure.
That kid could be the same!

We live in a very internet savvy generation, as well as the video game generation. Was he (Yoko) in any recent videogame as a playable character? Even if not, I see this at the comic shop all the time, a parent comes in with their kid asking for someone like Moon Knight, or the Legion of Superheroes, or something along those lines. It's the internet age. I don't find it hard to believe that those kids were wiki-ing different super-heroes, and I don't have a hard time believing that kid would watch Yokozuna matches on YouTube.

He probably heard his dad talk about Bret Hart and so he bought a Bret hart figure and wanted a yoko to reinact their matches

You would be shocked what 11 year olds know. Never underestimate their wrestling smarts. My cousin actually knows a lot for his age, he loves Yoko.
