Awesome, awesome night of fights. The prelims were some of the best they've ever had. I can only hope to see more of the same at the Chicago show next month.

Benson looked great. Much better performance than his Edgar fights.

Great night of fights, prelims was a little better, but the fights all delivered.

On a side note, how on Earth did Benson have a toothpick in his mouth throughout the fight..

Awesome card, from prelims all the way to the main card.
BJ was BJ, again! Good thing I picked Rory and didn't believe the hype. I think it's time for him to hang 'em up. If his heart isn't in it, then there is no reason for him to keep taking beatings like this.
So is Shogun now the new gatekeeper at 205? His body is totally broken down from wear and tear.
Bendo is a machine. So glad he didn't let Diaz get into his head.

On a side note, how on Earth did Benson have a toothpick in his mouth throughout the fight.. He must have had it stored somewhere in his mouthpiece, or wrist tape. That's just....impossible for him to have actually fought with one in his mouth.

I'm very convinced now that the Diaz brothers do not train Muay Thai or Kickboxing.

I'm very convinced now that the Diaz brothers do not train Muay Thai or Kickboxing. Yeah, and if that is really the case, then that is weak as hell.

Just got home from the show. Great night of fights. Yves whooped ass. Sadly Swick lost. Got to meet Rhonda in Pikes place today. She is beautiful (big.forearms and calves)? BJ quit in the 2nd after Rory threw the knee!!! Shogun sucked first did well 2nd and destroyed 3rd. Close the distance with Gufstanson.

It was sad seeing BJ get beat-up like that... I thought MacDonald was going to stop him in the second. These modern Welterweights (MacDonald, Diaz, Fitch) are just too big and strong for Penn - if he does carry on, he has to go back to 155. I think this may be it for him though.
Henderson looked amazing against Diaz... I was really surprised how dominant he was.

Fitch was too strong for Penn? I actually thought Penn outwrestled him.

best moment of the entire fight. Middle finger + Benson doing splits.

Fitch was too strong for Penn? I actually thought Penn outwrestled him. For the first round and a bit... he just couldn't keep it up. By the third, Fitch was all over him. Against LW's, Penn doesn't tire as quickly and can usually keep up the pace. If only all of BJ's fights were at around 155-163 and scheduled for about 8 minutes, he'd be the GOAT, lol.

BJ was superior with his wrestling in rounds 1 and 2 of that fight and even took his back in each round.

On a side note, how on Earth did Benson have a toothpick in his mouth throughout the fight.. He must have had it stored somewhere in his mouthpiece, or wrist tape. That's just....impossible for him to have actually fought with one in his mouth. According to Bendo he trains that way all the time and I missed the pre-fight examination but normally the ref just has them open their lips to show the mouthpiece. Wouldn't be that hard to hide it along the side of the mouthpiece. I find it funny Dana was saying it was "way illegal" but the commission said there was no rule, planed to make a rule in the future and called it a non-issue for Bendo following this fight. I doubt he will ever do it again but we will now have another odd MMA rule in the rulebooks.

Could have been an issue. If he had it out and it went into Nate's eye or something, then what? Sounds illegal to me.
