His last 4 Wrestlemania matches have been good if not great. WM 25 was a great match, very exciting, good build up.
WM 26 was another good match, build up was good while very different/unique from the previous year.
However, my complaint is that match itself was a little too similar to the match from 25. I felt the finisher, kick out, rest felt no different then a spot-fest ECW use to notoriously get ripped for doing. Believability of undertaker losing was a little less then previous year, Still a highly entertaining Wrestlemania quality match.
Prior to 27, WWE released the "True story of Wrestlemania" and on that documentary HHH says I dont think Undertaker's streak should ever be broken. So what does WWE do at WM 27?? ummm
WM 27- Everyone figured Taker would win...however when HHH tombstoned taker the believability that taker could lose re-emerged and made it a pretty good match that was a different pace/style from the HBK matches prior.
WM 28- probably a better overall match then 27 However, there was never one doubt that I thought HHH would win. Which just killed any drama that would had been excellent otherwise if it wasn't undertaker and wrestlemania.
Had they done this match the way it was done and had the match at 27 never happened, This match could of been as great as others have claimed.
Bottom line: Undertaker needs to lose at wrestlemania OR wwe needs to give us more reasons to believe there is a possibility he will lose. Kicking out of a finishers has been played out now and has lost its "surprise!" factor.
Thoughts? Counterpoints?

Undertaker will not lose at WrestleMania. The Streak is something that makes him special, you can never replicate that, ever(vvvvvvvvveeeeerr). You gotta remember that he's not as athletic as he used to be so kicking out of finishers is the only way to keep the excitement. Although, if they added more unique stipulations to the match like Last Man Standing, or 2 out of 3 Falls, then yeah those can make you wonder if he will really lose. Now, if he were to lose at WrestleMania, give it to a young talent who deserves it because this would be the ultimate rub and push to the moon. If he loses, the guy who beat him would forever be known as "The Man Who Defeated Undertaker at WrestleMania". That would be a huge title right there to carry over for your whole career.

I agree actually with you.
When Wrestlemania rolls around, you may as well just call it "Taker won't job at this ppv" cause it will never happen.
I really don't see anyone believable to end Taker's streak either.

They are 4 of his greatest matches which is quite a statement considering he has countless match of the year contenders/winners. Masterpiece performances.
The streak is complete. It's now only a matter of time until he's in the hall of fame.

Disagree.......the matches with HHH have been nothing but finishers and spots. That doesnt make for a great match in my eyes.

The Streak should never be broken. Undertaker has had far less title reigns and major moments than others who shared the spotlight, and he's been around longer than anyone. Its his thing.

I agree with the poster above, whereas I dont think the HHH matches are among Takers greatest matches ever. Good matches but not Taker's greatest. I may even argue his WM23 match with Batista is better then those.
Nonetheless I'm OKAY with the streak not beating broke BUT..... if so, undertaker needs to retire from Wrestlemania or wrestling altogether then because the "Beat the Streak" angle has been played out. And when there is no chance he loses the drama from the match is gone. If you take the drama out of a wrestling match you are pretty much sitting there not buying any moves Taker's opponent does just waiting for the tombstone or hell's gate.
I'm also Okay with Taker losing his last Wrestlemania match to an up and comer for a huge rub to establish a new star for future generations. Actually I think this is what they SHOULD do....but i doubt they will

Never at one point did I think Taker would be losing at WrestleMania ever since I started watching, definitely not during the last four. Although, I definitely hoped he'd lose at WrestleMania XXVI as I wasn't quite ready for Shawn to retire. Personally, I don't mind that Taker won't lose, I just want a good match and I think we've been getting those from him ever since WM23.

Undertaker's WM matches have never been the best match on the card with the exception of the HBK matches.
Both his matches with HHH were slow, sluggish and boring.

I'm one of the few people that doesn't place a ton of value in the streak. I've always said that if the right person came along, it would make sense to end it. I still feel that way.
I don't think having either Shawn Michaels or Triple H end it would be the way to go, and I didn't really have much doubt that they wouldn't. So, yes, all four matches were, in a way, predictable, but I enjoyed all four a ton. I do think the two matches with Michaels were a bit too similar, though.
I know a lot of people can't even bear the thought of this, but as far as the current roster goes, I think Cena is the only guy that could end it and make it work.

People will pay to see Undertaker win at Wrestlemania. That is all that will ever matter.

I loved both Triple H vs Undertaker matches from the last few Wrestlemanias. And I'm with you, I never thought the streak would end till Triple H hit Undertaker with the Tombstone. I was convinced that was it.

I don't think he'll ever lose at WM. It's just always a great match to watch regardless of knowing how it's going to end. This year was good.
However. If he were to lose, I think it would be amazing if the crowd went into a complete stunned silence. It would be crazy to hear nothing. No music, no fireworks or commentary.

Disagree.......the matches with HHH have been nothing but finishers and spots. That doesnt make for a great match in my eyes. WM 27 was a good overall match IMO knowing that Taker was very much out of it. So basically it lived up to the hype. Wm 28 IMO should have been a lot more than it was because the Cell was used much at all and the only things to happen after the first 10 minutes were chairshots and finishers. I think the match should have been a lot more like the HIAC Taker had against Edge because that match was exciting.
