With his dvd being released soon....what would you rank as his best 5 or 10 matches. Personally Punk was just another guy on the roster to me until the Jeff Hardy feud in 2009 from then he became a favorite.
Obvious nominees are vs Cena MITB '11 vs Jeff Hardy SS '09
Keep it WWE era (that includes ECW though)

I personally think his ER match with Jericho and RR match with Ziggler have to be up there.

I liked his performance in the Royal rumble 2010 and 2011. The EC match from this year and his match against Bryan at OTL and MITB.

Most of his WWE matches fall short of what he's done elsewhere because of the limitations placed on him, as well as age and injuries. A 35 year old man isn't going to jump as high or move as fast as a 21 year old man. My top five Punk matches of ALL TIME, In no particular order..
vs. Chris Hero, IWA Mid South House of Hardcore 2nd Anniversary Show. one of the damndest TLC matches you'll ever see anywhere. Almost an hour of straight murder.
vs. Chris Hero, IWA Mid South "When Hero Met Punk". 2/3 falls goes 93 minutes and change, the longest singles match in modern history. And after 93 minutes, they seemed able to go for another 10.
vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Colt Cabana, IWA Mid South 4/19/02. A dream match that will never be repeated. Punk proves he can hang with one of the best of all time.
vs. John Cena, WWE Money in the Bank 2011. A match that created the sheer emotion and raw energy that no WWE title match in recent memory has been able to capture. Probably the peak of Punk AND John Cena's WWE careers.
vs. Samoa Joe, Ring of Honor. The entire trilogy of 1 hour matches share this slot. Does it truthfully surprise anyone that after these matches, both guys are now top guys in the #1 & #2 organizations (or should be, in the case of the tragic mismanagement of Samoa Joe in TNA).

In no particular order, His 3 matches with Samoa Joe in ROH, All were classics. His IWA MS matches with Hero were fantastic, For two guys who were new into the business they put their bodies on the line for what seemed like hours upon hours. I also enjoyed his matches with Morrison in 2007 and of course his MITB match with Cena

vs John Cena (MiTB 2011) vs Daniel Bryan (OTL 2012) vs John Cena (SS 2011) vs Chris Jericho (WM XXVIII) vs Dolph Ziggler (RR 2012)
with an honorable mention to his sermons during the 2010 Royal Rumble match itself.

A lot of great matches have been mentioned already, so I'll just add vs Orton at WrestleMania XXVII. I really loved that match.

Does it truthfully surprise anyone that after these matches, both guys are now top guys in the #1 & #2 organizations (or should be, in the case of the tragic mismanagement of Samoa Joe in TNA). I agree with all of these, and any Punk fans need to check these out. But since we're talking strictly WWE Punk, my list would look more like this: 1) vs Cena at MITB 2011: It's not his greatest in-ring match by any means during his WWE tenure, but my god the atmosphere, the storyline going into it...It's hard to put any other match at #1 here. 2) vs Jericho at WM: Punk will never be Daniel Bryan or Kurt Angle when it comes to technical skills, but he knows how to sell a story. Just an awesome match from two great workers. 3) vs Daniel Bryan: I'm honestly not even sure what event this was. Maybe Over the Limit? The one with the dusty finish where Punk won while tapping out. Danielson can have a great match with anybody, put him in with someone who understands psychology, guaranteed an awesome match. 4)Any of his matches with Ziggler: You can literally place any of his matches with Dolph here, and I'd probably agree. Dolph is excellent in the ring, and the two just work together so well. Great series of matches. 5) vs Jeff Hardy Summerslam 2009: I'm not even really sure why I like this match so much, maybe it's because Hardy is a guilty pleasure of mine. Again, I'm not sure how this ended up on my list, but I enjoyed it too much to not include it. Punk's had a ton of quality matches. I probably would have included his Chicago Street Fight with Jericho, too, but I wanted to have the matches be with 5 different opponents. Also really enjoyed his work with Orton, too.

I'd like to throw in his Last Man Standing Match against Orton last year at Extreme Rules. I thought it was a pretty hard-hitting match. Very enjoyable.

Since I started watching the program again in 2011, NOC 2012 VS Cena has been my favorite match from Punk.

May need to track it down; I have absolutely NO recollection of that match. And I attended WM27 and thought orton/punk had a very underrated match there.

This thread lacks his encounters with Rey Heck Yeah. I think Rey, above everyone else, brought the best out of Punk in WWE.
