Hahaha I mean I get where you're coming from but you have to look at it from a ratings perspective. Why are they going to remove arguably the most popular character from the show and risk losing viewers? Plus, we already know a major character that dies if they stick within the boundaries of the comics. Sure, it could be different, and Daryl could meet Lucille instead, but I still operate within the parameters that Michonne, Rick and Daryl are the holy trinity and completely untouchable until the very last season of the show. I just don't see it. That's like a last episode of the series kind of death, assuming Daryl isn't the ultimate survivor. I do agree that Rick is spiraling out of control but I think his plan falling apart is going to ground him to some degree. There will be plenty of time to humble Rick without killing Daryl.

I know how the comics operate and I know who meets their maker at the hands of Lucille. I just know my two favorite characters are still kicking in the show and whether or not they keep close to the comics or completely abandon them, I demand life for Carol and Maggie.

After Carl stopped with his little bitch attitude, I was fine with him. He stopped? To an extent. I think since his pudding phase, he's become a lot more tolerable

I think we're getting a big dose of Carl this week, so it's definitely possible I'm hoping for a more Carol heavy episode but it looks like Carol/Deanna will take care of the borders and Carl's going to be responsible for the stragglers that get in. Which sucks because he'll get more air time.

Saying I can't stand him wasn't right right phrasing for me to use. More like bored with him him. I liked that stuff with Daryl. It showed he had feelings and a soft side under his tough exterior. It just seems like for too long now, since Beth died, he's just there and not doing anything. I think it's because there are so many characters on the show now and he's just taking a backseat to everyone else. I hope he gets to do something cool soon. His appeal, to me at least, was that he was so skilled as a survivor and it was fun seeing him do all the things he did. Rick, Maggie, Glenn, Morgan and some new characters have all been good but Daryl isn't up there at the top like he used to be. There's gotta be something good coming with him soon. I can't see his character being like this all season. I really think they've played the Daryl character out to its full extent. He was a survivor, grew to respect the man who abandoned his brother, came to terms with the death of his brother and is obviously still grieving for Beth, whatever she was. I think Daryl's best storyline option, to me, would be ultimately killing him off to force Rick to come back down to earth because he's slowly turning into the monster Shane had become...and the only people that could conceivably bring Rick back to earth without breaking him entirely with their death (of the super major, important main credits characters) would be Daryl, Glenn or Michonne, and they're not axing Glenn or Michonne. They both have stories. It just screams this is how they're phasing Daryl out so his death doesn't absolutely break the Dead fandom more than it would regardless. Yeah, Glenn is safe for a LONG LONG LONG TIME. Glenn's definitely not dying soon.

Due to his popularity, Daryl has lived way longer than he was probably supposed to. I mean, the character was even specifically created for Norman after he auditioned for Merle. I love him, but he's already taken up the roles of other characters - he's been the right hand man for Rick for almost four seasons... a role used by Tyrese and Abraham in the comics. I don't mind him taking a backseat for a little while to develop other characters, especially someone like Abraham. Abraham is easily my favorite comic character, along with Rick and Jesus.

For one of the few episodes without Rick, it was pretty great.
