All those examples Gimple gave were bad for his argument because they were actually good plot devices. The Hatch in Lost was a great place to end. But building us up for this huge emotional moment and having nothing in terms of a payoff was just bad storytelling. And regardless of the comics' cliffhangers, it's a show. Adaptions have to be made. But if you want to use that argument, even the comic concluded the moment! I'm sorry, but there is nothing they can say or do to ameliorate that finale and the show in general at this point. I know they'll have huge numbers in October. But I really hope spells the beginning of the end. I hope the viewership drops big time and they realize their mistake. Either that, or people finally put an end to the bull**** and vote with their time by not watching. That includes me by the way. I'll be like every other schmuck in October and tune in to see who got Lucille (although I wouldn't put it past them to drag it out for 9 episodes). But it'll be from project free tv. I cancelled my Sling account. AMC will never get another dime from me. As long as your anger is directed at Gimple and Kirkman, I am in agreement with you. I'm just playing the part of messenger I will keep watching the show but I will definitely not be as excited for a season finale again. My expectations have been lowered after the way they ended both the mid-season finale and season finale. Definitely. Honestly, at this point I would love for Season 7 to open up with Negan just killing everyone and the show ending. Heheh

Another meh episode of FTWD.
The world is being overrun by zombies, the military is burning cities to the ground, and our heroes were being pursued by pirates but what do we get this week? A bunch of people lounging around on a yacht, two women making small talk in the kitchen & garden, Nick playing nanny, and Strand making a phone call. We also have a major logic flaw: why kill the zombies on the beach and repair fences if you're just planning to do a murder/suicide thing to your family? This show needs a serious kick in the pants.

I almost wonder if the whole yacht thing is a veiled shot at Californians...sort of like "if the world was going to hell, you'd totally see those richy California bastards hiding out in their mansion fortress or out on the water in a yacht".
I don't know...just a thought.

They could've at least loaded Travis's truck on the yacht so he'd have something to do other than tell people to do stupid things that could get them killed.

The mid-season finale took us RIGHT to the point where some evil, nasty crap is about to go down ... then tell us we have to wait several months to see it. Then, you think, they couldn't possibly kick us in the face again this season, could they? Cue season finale, where they took us RIGHT to the point where some evil, nasty crap is about to go down... then tell us we have to wait several months to see it.

Anyone looking forward to tonight's episode? I'm kinda like meh... It's something to watch.. I'm intrigued they'll show the plane crash stuff. Other than that I'd bet it's boring.

I think it would be hilarious if the plane crashed on a beach and all the cast members from Lost made cameos as zombies.

Fear The Walking Dead is a really weird show for me as I still cannot decide if I like it or not. If this was another show I would have probably jacked it in by now, but there is just something about it that keeps me from doing so. I just feel like it is building up to something big, but it sure as hell is taking its time getting there and the getting there is not exactly blowing me away each week.

I have no idea why I'm still watching FTWD - aside from having nothing better to do. The show is just so... meh.
Can someone PLEASE viscously murder Chris already?

His diva side was twitching. I felt bad for him, plus the kid who says Chris kept plugging in and out burger for whatever reason.

Perfectly states how I feel about FTWD. This week was a slight improvement as we had the zombie beach bash and a new character who is more interesting than the majority of the group. I hope we haven't seen the last of Alex and her extra crispy fried friend. I get how we aren't supposed to like or trust Strand. The writers are hitting us over the head with a brick getting that point across. Problem is, he is my favorite character so far and I can't help but like him. To be honest, if I was a character on the show I would be far more worried about Daniel. He dropped any civilized morals way too fast. He has already kidnapped and tortured a soldier, he used a horde of zombies as a weapon to overrun a military hospital and kill everyone inside, and he has no problems whatsoever spying on and plotting against anyone he sees as a threat which is pretty much everybody not related to him. He is on the fast track to become a Governor type character.

Is FTWD even worth watching? I planned on finally giving it a chance but I was so disgusted with TWD season finale that I've just avoided that universe.
I'm saddened from what I've heard so far. I feel like they could have made it great if not even better than their parent show because they wouldn't have the limitations of the comic and Kirkman's ego (at least not as much).

I think his actions are pure in a sense that they now live in a world where trusting someone could get you killed. Plus I think he has cartel ties. That's why he has no problem torturing a mafk and is why he's handy with firearms.

Last two episodes have been great. Yeah, it actually has taken a couple steps up. Luis intrigues me.

Still have pretty much all of this season on DVR. The mixed reviews make me both intrigued and yet, disheartened.
