Tonight's episode is how they should all be unless it's really necessary to focus on 1 character. It flowed really well and didn't seem to drag. The Negan/Carl stuff was really good.

Good episode with nice mix of comic and non-comic book material. I like how the first half of season 7 built up all the pieces that will be involved in All Out War. The second half of season 7 should really pick up in pace and action.

I'm expecting a certain Spencer/Negan scene to happen very soon that's straight out of the comics

Talking Dead has a "special" guest actor next week after the mid-season finale which always leads to speculation that a major character is going to buy it in the episode. Anybody care to make a guess? I think it could be Spencer doing something stupid with Negan during his latest visit to Alexandria.

Thanks but I'm not looking at this because it's been a while since I read All Out War (assuming you are relaying something that happened in the comic) and I don't remember all the details. I want to be surprised

Negan is my favorite character on television right now. He's the right amount of bunghole mixed with the right amount of badass while also having funny moments without it taking away from his other traits. Plus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan does a fantastic job with his portrayal.

There were so many moments in this past week's episode where I was just smiling uncontrollably thinking about how much I hate this guy in the best way possible.

I haven't read the comic, but I figured this is the mid-season death. With all things considered, I'm good with it.

Anybody care to make a guess? I think it could be Spencer doing something stupid with Negan during his latest visit to Alexandria. Spencer's getting way too much attention right now on the show for a character who genuinely doesn't matter. This is definitely happening. Just look at the unnecessary attention he's gotten within the context of the story so far this season, particularly all the stuff with Rosita. I honestly don't understand the criticism for this season and why it's losing viewers. I think it's been great. The Jesus stuff with Maggie and Sasha was great too. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Tara side quest story, I thought it was pretty plodding actually, but her coming back to find out everything that had happened was a worth it moment. All things Negan Carl and Daryl have been amazing. Getting the iron scene was amazing. Negan talking about a baseball bat not having a p*ssy, was amazing. All Out War is going to be explosive.

...few days removed from the latest episode, but it was a good one - things are happening, a lot of stuff is comic-faithful and the overall vibe of uncertainty with everyone is great to see.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan has been a revelation thus far; the right blend of menace and sardonic intent...very cool.

I have never read any of the comics and don't want this spoiled in any way, but I hope Negan sticks around for a while. I love everything about that character on the tv series. Can't get enough of him
The interaction between him and Carl was classic.
All I'm thinking is he's going to make Carl kill someone in his own group. Hopefully Spencer. Using Lucille. We shall see

I honestly don't understand the criticism for this season and why it's losing viewers. I think it's been great. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if some of it is because the critics have told people not to like it, and that it's gotten "too violent" after the season premiere. Obviously, that's not going to deter longtime viewers/fans of the show, but it could and may have deterred some from watching.

I think the Negan unleashed episode is already iconic, honestly. If you can't appreciate it, regardless of the violence, which was a means to an end anyway, then you probably shouldn't be reviewing television. Not to mention, plenty of people were critical of Game of Thrones when they felt the Ramsay scene with the dogs wasn't graphic enough. At least in that regard, the show was on the level of the comics, which deserves praise imo.

Saw that coming. So awesome how it was almost directly from the comic.
"Ya got no guts."
