That's a great card... Leben's return, 2 great MW fights and Maynard Vs Lauzon should be good too.
I really hope the main event is better than their first fight - Cain's looked like a killer before (and since) that Dos Santos fight, but Junior was able to beat him fairly easily... should be interesting to see if he can do it again.

i definitely dont see the fight going the way the first went....I dont see the outcome changing but no way Cain goes down anywhere near as easy as he did in the first fight.

Gray Maynard is injured, and out of his fight with Joe Lauzon. Jim Miller will replace him.

Wow. I was going to reply to this thread earlier today and say that I was most looking forward to Maynard/Lauzon on the entire card.

Apparently Chris Weidman has suffered an injury and is off the card too . Costa Philippou will fight Boetsch instead.

I wonder now that Weidman is injured (again), will he cry that Silva is still ducking him?

I wonder now that Weidman is injured (again), will he cry that Silva is still ducking him? Silva is ducking him. Regardless of the reason, which I kind of understand . Silva said that he is old and that's the reason he won't fight jones or Weidman . Now it seems like he's changed his stance on jones. I get that he wants big money fights, he's earned it. Although , if he doesn't want to defend the title he should give it up. That's my problem with this whole ordeal. Two divisions being held up for super fights is not cool. Especially considering those last two fights on his contract might be his last two fights period. I've read he wants the bisping fight. It's a money fight, an bispings style suits him. It's a fight Anderson would win. I'd enjoy it, even though the build up would be bisping incoherently telling us how much better every faucet of his game is compared to Anderson's .

He said he'd fight Weidman if it was offered, but he was never offered to him.

He said he'd fight Weidman if it was offered, but he was never offered to him. He also said he wouldn't be goaded into a fight with him either. I think Silva is a nut case personally.

Why should he? Beating ONE guy who isn't even top 5 doesn't mean you should fight the champion. I think you need 2 top-10 wins for a title shot, but who am I?

Demian Maia and Mark Munoz aren't Top 10?

I'd put Munoz in the top 10 but not Maia personally.

I'd put Munoz in the top 10 but not Maia personally. Not right now, but at the time he fought Maia, I considered Maia a Top 10 Middleweight, definitely.

Actually I think Dana said Maia was 5 and Munoz was 3. So , here was his two wins. Bisping doesn't deserve the shot either personally . And I'd silva takes that fight over Weidman ill be disappointed .

at the time of the maia fight, i think maia was on the cusp... he was between 10-15. its only been his last couple fights against kim and story [and the way he finished them... plus its a different weight class, but dont let facts get in the way of a good story], that has started to get him back into the conversation. still, weidman took that fight on... what was it... 11-13 days notice? and handled his business.
munoz, on the other hand, at the time he got destroyed by weidman... it couldve been argued he was the 3rd best middleweight in the division behind silva and belfort. and weidman demolished him. i have no problem with weidman needing another win to get a shot at silva... but i dont think bisping beating stann, should get him a title shot unquestionably, over weidman destroying munoz and maia. and after those two, who else is even close to a title shot at 185?

Botecsh is close. I think Alan belcher is as well. If he beats okami he's one more win away.

Dana's rankings. Maia was a GOOD fighter at middleweight. While I will give Weidman that huge KO win over Munoz some credit, he didn't look all that impressive against Maia, probably due to the short notice. I NEVER ranked Munoz near the top 3. Top 5? MAYBE. Top 10 for sure though.
