gotta love frankie... he just keeps coming. never stops. that was the first round that was up for debate... aside from the front kick to the nose, it was mostly frankie.

rds 1 and 2 were aldos, rd 4 was frankie, rd 3 is up for debate... i personally leaned aldo, but it was close enough that maybe a judge was swayed by a certain angle or combo.

rd 5 is frankie too, he pushed the pace and landed more. aldo hits harder, no question, but its tough to give him the round when he throws 1 punch for every 4 that frankie throws. to me, this all comes down to round 3. i got it 48-47 aldo.

First 3 to Aldo, 4th to Edgar... 5th I'd probably score even - Edgar landed more, but Aldo did more damage. Good fight.

I can't believe Frankie has to keep enduring close fights like this. It was an extremely close fight, but I'm not mad Aldo got the nod.
Laughed my ass off at my pick for Fitch to finish Maia, when he ended up getting "Fitched" himself.
Seeing the Reem get finished like that, after taunting Silva in the first round made my night. I'm still shocked that fight ended up how it did.

I scored the main event 3-2 Aldo. He got the first 3 with Edgar getting the last 2.

Lol at Overeem.
Main event was a good fight, kind of saved the PPV as it was really uneventful outside of the Bigfoot KO, I scored the first three rounds for Aldo and thought Edgar needed to finish. I guess they'll just throw Cormier at Cain now if he gets passed Mir. Would also like to see Aldo move up, there's just not a lot left for him at Featherweight, sure there's Lamas and Zombie but they don't really pose any threat to Aldo.

I didn't think damage was scored? I think it is. It should be. I always understood it's not in the criteria and I disagree partly. If you're on about cuts and bruises then that should not be judged. Guys who have been in wars cut alot easier... I understand if a guys had his leg destroyed by leg kicks an can barely use it, it depends how you do it...

If Showtime can carry his striking power down to 145, he could definitely make it interesting.

The event wasn't too bad. I wasn't expecting too much action going into Fitch/Maia, but I laugh that Fitch got Fitch'd. I love Overeem and was pulling for him to win, but I (and the place I was at) went absolutely nuts when Bigfoot knocked him out. That was absolutely nasty. I guess Cain/Bigfoot II and Overeem/JDS is next? I'm ok with Overeem/JDS, but Bigfoot got absolutely mauled last time he fought Cain, so I don't exactly want to see that again. But the guy does make a strong case for a title shot beating Browne and Overeem. Rashad/Nog was so disappointing, not sure what went on there. I scored it for Nog in the end, but definitely a lackluster fight. Edgar/Aldo was a great fight. I scored it 48-47 for Aldo, giving him the first three rounds. Like many, I had Aldo winning the first two, and Frankie winning the last two, making the 3rd the key round, which I gave to Aldo.

I enjoyed the event as a whole. I think Nogueira vs. Evans was more Evans not attacking than Nogueira's attack not being much. Nogueira used very crisp boxing but it wasn't too exciting.
Overeem losing was what he gets. He showed NO respect for Bigfoot's striking. Overeem REALLY needed to understand that Bigfoot is NOT Brock. Brock had nothing to offer striking-wise. Bigfoot actually CAN strike and has insane power in those big ass hands. Maybe this will make Overeem respect all of his opponents now.
