I love the way WWE have gone ahead to be honest. The TLC main event is quality now. Punk doesn't get robbed of his WWE Title because of a knee injury. Ideal really.

They should because it is stupid that they won't. I wouldn't of wanted him to end on 380, maybe till 90 days then they can remove him off the title. I'm sure if Santino was still US Champion, and this happened to him - everyone would want him to get stripped off the title?! Santino is a joke, though. Is that all you can come up with? What about Cena, cause I'm sure he ain't "no joke"! Plus when Cena got injury during his 380 reign - didn't they have him vacate the Title?! So why not have Punk? |

I don't really think that stripping CM Punk of the WWE Championship is a good idea. As the building for his match with The Rock would be a waist. Sp, If he is able to heal by the Royal Rumble they should definetly keep him as WWE Champion. But, if he can't, by all means, take the Title off of him. But, it seems like he will be able to heal and he will most likely fight The Rock at the Royal Rumble PPV.

If he can't perform for more than a few weeks then I agree. Just because they have a plan for him he shouldn't be allowed to hold the title without being able to defend it.
I find it hypocritical that some of the same people here are saying he shouldn't vacate it are the ones saying The Rock shouldn't be champion because he wouldn't be allowed to defend it all the time.
If he does vacate it they should hold a tournament for it... Winner = TENSAI.

Vacating the title would derail everything they have built him for, which is a showdown with the Rock. I'm sorry, but the TLC PPV can take a hit this year, if it means saving a match that has been built for months. It's nothing more than a gimmick PPV anyways, that no one will remember anything big for anyways.

None of you have really thought about this though. The raeson this reign has been important is because of the days. If they strip him at 400, what's the point? It's like the Main Event Mafia storyline. An entire year - WASTED.

From everything I've read about Punk' surgery he will miss a little more than two weeks, which has him returning just after the TLC PPV. So why would the WWE strip him of the belt for missing one televised date?
Punk v Ryback will probably happen on either the last Raw of 2012, or the first Raw of 2013, which is where the match should have been booked for in the first place.

So the title should have been, and was vacated. Punk won't be out that long. He'll be back in time for the Rumble, so yeah. That's all I need to come up with. Thanks for trying though. |

If anything they should have had CM Punk vacate the WWE Title ending his 380 day reign, and then on RAW have a battle royal or even a tournament to crown the new WWE Champion, and then Punk ends up coming back saying how since he got injured he never really lost the WWE Championship, and therefore he is entitled to his rematch in which he would get it, and then Punk wins his rematch to once again become WWE Champion Funny how if it was Cena, Sheamus, Del Rio, Show, or Orton god knows everyone would be with you. But God forbid it happen to their Messiah. Silly fan boys. |
