Hendo has never been stopped by strikes. I just can't see Lyoto knocking him out when Fedor, Shogun, Wanderlei, etc couldn't even do it. True. I don't see him one punch KO'ing Dan, more like stuns him, rocks him, then finishes him with a flurry. It will be interesting.

Even so, I don't see that happening. Hendo has only been dropped twice.

I hope there's a clear winner in this (Machida/Hendo) fight... I can't see Machida winning by KO - Hendo's chin is one of the best (if not the best) in the business. Machida is really elusive though, so may be able to avoid the H-bombs. If I had to pick, I'd say Machida by close decision... I'm hoping for Hendo by KO though - then we can finally have Jones/Henderson.
And I'd love Robbie Lawler to KO Koscheck... ;D

i think this might be a bar card for me. aside from hendo/machida, it feels like a strikeforce card. neer/mcgee should be fun, but kos/lawler and faber/menjivar seem like decisions to me. that being said, id hate to be on the move to the bar during schaub/lavar... that has 1st round knockout written all over it.

awesome first round burrell/villefort. good ground work by villefort, great sub and ground defense by burrell, a little surprised by it. and burrells striking looks real nice.

I like how the UFC lied about Ronda's 54 second "fastest finish" in Strikeforce history. Frank Shamrock knocked out Caesar Gracie in 20 seconds.

SPLIT!?! What the fight was they watching? All three rounds are Lyoto. There is debate for Henderson winning the third, but he didn't do anything with his top position. Jesus they need to fix the judging criteria or the judges. Also that was a fun fight to watch for me, these drunks.

This is amazing.
I'm actually marking out here, and they haven't even done anything yet.

They couldn't have asked for a better fight for the start of WMMA in the UFC. That was easily more exciting than Hendo/Machida. I was originally disappointed that Hendo/Machida wasn't 5 rounds, but I think it's for the better that it was 3 rounds. Not sure if I could've taken another 2 rounds of whatever that was. Carmouche definitely impressed me. I thought Rousey was gonna run right through her, and even said in the first post that it was a gimme fight for Rousey. But she held her own and almost finished Rousey.
Great win for Faber as well. I read the statistic that after every Faber loss, he's come back and won his following fight by submission. Crazy that he continued that streak. Good with for Lawler too, but I think the stoppage was a bit early.
Over all, good event. But I absolutely can not wait for next Saturday's card in Japan.
