How crazy would that have been if Ricci pulled off that armbar at the end?

wouldve been tremendous. get dominated for 14 and a half minutes... get a tapout in the last 30 seconds. alas, we now have to deal with colton smiths fruitless rear naked attempts for at least another 3 fights.

big country throws bombs man. mitriones kicks were brutal too. with the way they were standing in front of each other, i wasnt expecting it to last long anyway... like both these guys, roy is still the gate keeper of the heavyweight division. none shall pass... unless youre elite.

Roy truly is the gatekeeper of the HW division, I still want Roy Vs Hunt. So who do you think Nelson gets next?

So who do you think Nelson gets next? not sure who he will get next... who id like to see him get though, is cormier after cormier runs through the bum of the month in january. wouldnt mind seeing it on that monster 158 card. i imagine cormier would step right in vs werdum or mir though.

Random thoughts on the show tonight. Overall, I enjoyed the card. Plenty of action with real finishes. After a TUF season full of boring decision matches it was very refreshing. Khabilov and those three suplexes...just AWESOME! I would have totally freaked out if he finished the fight with an ankle lock a la Kurt Angle TUF winner Colton...grats on the win, now please learn something more than how to ride your opponent's back because your are BORING! I'm in Dana's camp where winning may be good for the fighter, but winning with style is good for the UFC and MMA in general. Big Country...I have to say it, I love this guy. He may not be the best heavyweight but he sure is entertaining.

Werdum has Big Nog sometime in June. I expect Cormier fight way before that in the UFC. Cormier vs. Mir seems logical. For some reason, I really liked that fight.

I was very disappointed in Ricci. I thought he'd have more of a defense when it came to the ground/up against the cage. Minus the last second attempt at that arm bar, I can't honestly remember him doing anything else the third round minus being taken down and giving up his back....again.

I can't stand Ricci myself. Hope he loses the next and gets cut. Just can't stand the guy.

Can't say I'm a fan by any means, just thought it'd be a little bit more competitive.
I think Neil would have put up more of a fight.

I'm finding myself excited to see the next Cormier fight. I've never considered myself a fan of him, but I do enjoy watching the guy work. Looking forward to his next fight must mean he's growing on me. His fight with Barnett, in my opinion, was super-overlooked. I thought that was a Top 10 for Fight of the Year. Both dudes went after it and really threw down. Both guys broke their hands in that fight. Was a war.

I find it impossible to get excited when I know exactly what's going to happen. A top 10 fighter going against a top 50 fighter is always easy.
Barnett vs. Cormier was one of the best Heavyweight MMA fights of all time, in my opinion. Heavyweights don't usually go 5 hard rounds like that.
