That's funny as I was a huge NWA/WCW fan and after the early 90's I really didn't follow the WWE during the MNW. Most of the wrestlers I liked were in WCW or retired. The only guys I'd watch in the WWE then were HHH, Bret, LOD, Angle, HBK, Mankind & Taker. And once Bret left the WWE so so did I for the most part. If I turned on the RAW and Triple H was on I'd watch his match and that was it. As for Taker I loved the original gimmick...and hated the ABA gimmick. And with the Road Warriors I also hated the LOD 2000 gimmick.

WWE bought WCW in 2001 and that is also the year I graduated highschool. My buddies and I still watched religiously until around 04-05. I am a huge Rock fanso after he put Goldberg over, and then returned for WM20, I didn't watch much after that. I guess 2002 and on is what people call the Ruthless Agression Era. WM17 was one of the best ever and I still consider it to be part of the attitude era.
Even though we didn't watch much after 2005, I have a younger brother that did and we would still get together every year and get Wrestlemania on pay per view and the Rumble. We would get like 15-20 of us and would gamble on the Rumble. We would all throw in like $10 each and draw numbers out of a hat. Whoever entered at your number was your guy, and if he won the rumble, you won the pot. Awesome times. And because we would get together those 2 times a year, we knew who cena, batista, evolution, lashley, umaga, etc were.
I remember turning on Raw or something for a brief moment just to check in, and seeing Rey or Jeff Hardy as the champ and going "What?! never woulda happend a few years ago."

I'm still pretty cloudy on WWE from 2004-2007. Haven't seen much. Other than the ECW one nite stand PPVs. I remember feeling like I missed out on some good stuff that happened in 02-03......especially Brock Lesnar. I lucked out about 2 summers ago and stumbled on Justin TV. Somebody had a 24/7 feed of every RAW/SmackDown running. It just so happened that I came upon it when it was @ 2002. I watched ALOT of it during that summer. I can't believe I missed so much great wrestling HHH vs Hulk Hogan happened. This blows my mind. WHat WAS I DOING If you find the Triple H DVD (amazon has it) that match is on it.

Nah. He was putting on great matches from 98-01, but after he tore his quad and put on a ton of steroid muscle, he was pretty slow and clumsy in the ring from 02-06. Unless he was wrestling HBK or Benoit back then, his matches were mostly average at best unless he was in a stipulation match like HIAC.
Anyway been watching wrestling since 1994, and 02-05 (Ruthless Agression Era), was my favorite time to be a wrestling fan. Not everything was good, like HHH's constant deathgrip over Raw, but we had a stacked roster and SmackDown was putting on 5* shows almost every week.
I'd love to see more figs from that era, like an Evolution style HHH and Flair, Kurt Angle from Summerslam 02 or 03 (won't happen while he is with TNA), Brock from Summerslam 02, Goldberg, and Booker T (w/ the short dreadlocks).
And Eddie Guerrero with his mullet is a must as well lol

i wasnt watching regularly either. though i remember that era being pretty rad, especially on smackdown which i believe heyman was booking. the guerreros, angle/haas/benjamin, bischoff, plus the random run of scott steiner and some other big names. it was a cool era

I mostly watched this era in wrestling since i was born in 94 by the time i was 6 i was all about scsa then around 9 i fell in love with smackdown. This is an area in my collection i especially love and will never sell. Anyways i would also say king booker and defining moments john cena because of the spinner belt and a custom jbl is a must. Good luck in making the roster.
