This was released within the last few days, and it's just as gory and disturbing as the first trailer. These redband trailers are hyping this movie incredibly well. I love the original films, and I'm filled with anticipation for the remake. I can't say I've ever been so excited for a horror movie remake.

Huge fan of the original movies, and to be honest, this looks fantastic.

I like that they've gone a completely different direction from the first one. I like that they know that Evil Dead (and EDII) were so great because of the process behind what went into making the film. I like that they've changed a lot of the story and they didn't try to make Ash mark 2.
I don't like that in spite of all that, they're still calling it Evil Dead. This clearly is a whole different film and to me it feels that the name of it is just an attempt to cash in on fans of the original film. Why not just promote the hell out of the fact that it's Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell's return to cinema and not mess with the original trilogy?
Otherwise, I wasn't particularly impressed with the trailer. I like that their agenda from the start was to stay away from CGI but in all honesty, the undead don't look remotely scary. Henrietta from Evil Dead II is a wonderful and equally disgusting display of make up and effects and unfortunately these creatures pale in comparison. I also didn't see anything fresh. It looked very much like a beaten to death 'cabin in the woods' movie. Obviously you can't go on much from the trailer so hopefully they have something up their sleeve to surprise us with.

Evil Dead is on tv here every few weeks, never watched it all, always felt more of a comedy to me, plus it felt pretty boring, now this, ing wow first horror in a long time that looks like a horror, can't wait to see this

It reminded me of Cabin in the Woods however I think 'Cabin' was paying homage to Evil Dead with it's plot so that makes sense. I probably wait to see this on dvd but it looks promising.

I thought Redband trailers weren't supposed to be posted on here? If so, I had no clue. I changed my original post from an embedded video to a link. This way users will be required to sign into their YouTube account to confirm their age.

I have enjoyed a handful of Horror remakes but man I feel this is gonna be the best horror remake to date.....that trailer is intense.
I watch Suburgatory with Jane Levy all the time and I wont be able to look at her the same way again after that knife licking scene.....INTENSE.

At first I didn't want to see the remake but this trailer has changed my opinion on it. Based on the first trailer I thought they were strictly trying to make it a serious horror film but in this new you kinda get a glimpse of some goofiness like the original had.

I love the original Evil Dead flicks because of the campy cartoonish approach Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell took. After seeing the trailer for the remake, I'm thinking that it could be a much more "serious" take on Evil Dead but equally awesome. So few remakes get my blood pumping like this.
