So I broke up with my girlfriend today. Not feeling too bad about it, I'm too old to be dealing with kids stuff. So my question to you guys is what do you do after a break up?

I was engaged this past year and actually set to get married in August.
I called the whole thing off. Long story short, I just couldn't go through with it. I dated the girl for 6 1/2 years.
What did I do?
Slept around, met new people and enjoyed being single. Since then, I have met someone I'm currently dating and taking it slow.

That too! Maybe write a bit of poetry as well. Excercise, go shopping, figure hunting basically anything that gets my mind off her.

I switch off between becoming a hermit and disappearing from the world or going out with friends a lot.
Guess it depends on my mood.

Depending on how the breakup went, who knows. If I honestly believe it can't be patched up in any way, shape or form, I usually just move on. But, if I believe it's able to be fixed, I'll do what I can.

I really thought you and Childs were gonna make it! THAT SON OF A BITCH WAS THE THING! We were getting intimate one night, and, you know that thing that happened to Norris' head? Yeah.... well, I'll let you fill in the blanks, but it was NOT pretty.

I have different feelings about various break ups I've had in the past. If I'm attached to the girl I'm currently with and a break up happens I'd most likely be depressed for months while at the same time apologizing constantly to try and start up the relationship again, now that I think about it, I should really have more respect for myself when it comes to that. Other times when I'm not feeling the relationship very much and either me or the girl decides to end it, I personally feel indifferent and I do what I'd normally do before I met them.

Im still baffled at how anyone would rather be in a relationship than being single. Being single is freedom!

I just feel good about not having to stress over it any more.

Sometimes when things really go wrong on my end I tend to cry uncontrollable and hold and coddle things mainly furniture saying the girls name repeatedly for days. I haven't reached those stages in years so I know it isn't that serious when break ups occur.
