I'm just gonna put this thread here because I plan on spending my TRU Rewards on mattel wwe figures. The only thing I buy from TRU..
Anyway I spent over 100 bucks during the holidays, and I have their rewards card thingy, which I was informed you get 10% back on all your holiday purchases on. I also saw several signs throughout the store which said "Rewards never expire" which is where my issue comes into play..
How come when I looked at my TRU rewards page online earlier today it said that my points are expired? Well 5 bucks expired on the 9th and th eother 5 expires tomorrow. Wtf?? Then why are there signs that say they don't expire?? This is mind boggiling to me can anyone help me out?!

I've never seen signs that say they don't expire. TRU's Reward dollars have always had expiration dates.

What could they be advertising that dosent expire then because I've definately seen the signs every time I go to a TRU. Just not positive if they say if that's for the Rewards Dollars or not..

TRU's site has this box. It says points don't expire but I don't see anything regarding Rewards.

I think the points you gain don't expire until you have enough for a $5 TRU coupon.

And then that coupon for 5 bucks can only be used for a week or two? That's bogus

I had one for $4 that expires tomorrow. Couldn't find anything of worth, so I bought two Mountain Dews for tomorrows Royal Rumble viewing. An idea that someone on here mentioned, so thanks for that.

TRU's rewards have been a joke like this as long as i can remember....ive been in "the program" for about 5 years now.
They give you a nice reward, sure....$5.00 comes in handy, but I always get them with 2 or less weeks left until they expire, so im either forced to buy something i don't want (most of the time) or let them go to waste, TRU hardly ever has anything good in stock when i have my rewards.
Especiall in January when they never get new trucks...which is why they sucker people in with that 10% back bullcrap....it's so people will have to buy things when they don't want. Between constantly raising prices, and this rewards thing TRU is a pretty crapty company.

Their program has always been a joke. The coupons always expire as far as I can remember and they always split them up so half expires right before the next set is eligible to redeem. I had a $5 one that was set to expire and I went in and bought a clearance plush smurf just to get something so they had to eat the $5.

It's not a joke, they just don't want you spending them all on one item. They break up the rewards over two periods. One expired a couple weeks ago. The other expires tomorrow. This is the worst time of the year to have to use rewards because there's barely any new product and everything is still over-priced from the Christmas price gouging.
I ended up buying my third Zack Ryder. At least he was free.

So this is what I ended up getting...and the box isn't even sealed its taped shut.
I was originally about to buy a microsoft points card because I saw that TRU has special 5 and 10 dollar cards. I was stoked because I figured I can finally get some new guys on WWE 13 ( RYBACKKK) but of course I couldn't even get one of those because apparently the coupon dosent cover that.. how bad can TRU get...

Sign up for a rewards card next time you check out. They will email you reward dollars every quarter I think? You get 10% back of what you spend.

When you check out the cashier should awlays ask if you have one anway. Next time you go in jusu ask to be signed up its not like a credit card or anything..
Btw my TRU seemingly just restocked the BOPPV Ricardo Series after having several cases of the Johhny series before christmas. We may never see the Johnny set again guys..

If you get a tru rewards CREDIT CARD they don't expire. If you just have a rewards card they do expire.
