Since there's no thread on this yet, I figured it would be time for us to discuss the upcoming interim Bantamweight title fight that will be taking place in a few weeks on Fuel TV. This will be Fuel TV's first time airing a title fight and it will be taking place live from London, England. The main event pits current Interim Bantamweight champion, Renan Barão against top-10 ranked young star Michael McDonald. McDonald is currently on an 8-fight win streak and coming off a BRUTAL KO of Miguel Torres and Barão hasn't lost in about 30 fights and is coming off a unanimous decision victory of Urijah Faber. If McDonald can win this one, it will technically make him the youngest curent UFC title holder at 22 years old. UFC ON FUEL TV "BARÃO VS. MCDONALD", 2/16/2013 (Fuel TV/ESPN-UK/Sportsnet/Facebook.com Stream) Wembley Arena, London England1. Flyweight bout: Phil Harris vs. Ulysses Gomez 2. Bantamweight bout: Vaughan Lee vs. Motonobu Tezuka 3. Middleweight bout: Tom Watson vs. Stanislav Nedkov 4. Featherweight bout: Andy Ogle vs. Josh Grispi 5. Lightweight bout: Paul Sass vs. Danny Castillo 6. Lightweight bout: Terry Etim vs. Renee Forte 7. Welterweight bout: Che Mills vs. Matthew Riddle 8. Light Heavyweight bout: James Te-Huna vs. Ryan Jimmo 9. Welterweight bout: Gunnar Nelson vs. Jorge Santiago 10. Light Heavyweight bout: Jimi Manuwa vs. Cyrille Diabaté 11. Featherweight bout: Cub Swanson vs. Dustin Poirier 12. Interim Bantamweight Championship: Renan Barão (c) vs. Michael McDonald *Fights 1-6 will be broadcasted LIVE on UFC's Facebook page at 12pm ET/9am PT; the 6-fight main card begins at 3pm ET/12pm PT. Replays will be aired later in the night.

Completely forgot I agreed to family time at the Chicago Auto Show tomorrow. Now I'm even more pissed I don't have FUEL.

Will have to PVR this one. I have an appointment around the time this airs. Should be a great card though.

...is this the first time an interim belt has been defended? I can't remember offhand.
If Cruz is going to be out much longer, they really should consider giving the winner of this fight the belt proper.

Cruz could be out a long time, how many number one contender matches can they have? And interim belt makes sense right now. Condit was the most pointless interim champion ever, that should of been a number one contender fight.

One judge scored the Jimmo/Te-Huna fight, 29-27 for Te Huna... Meaning Te Huna somehow earned a 10-8 Round 2, but Jimmo didn't get a 10-8 Round 1.
I'm just baffled.

McDonald = Future champ, only 22 and he looked good against the champ.

I got to the bar in time for the last 2 fights. Swanson looked impressive again. But he always worries me when he keeps his hands so damn low. Barao looked good too. Too bad I have no luck when it comes to betting. I called a 4th round submission for him.

Bummed I don't have Fuel, but I'm excited that the deal went through. We (Comcast subscribers) can enjoy these cards soon!

I was talking about that with some friends. Talk about a miss fire. I would be absolutely shocked if he wasn't released.
