The show opens up with fireworks blazing and the crowd yelling loudly. We are introduced to the show, and the first match is set to begins.
The Miz vs. Brodus Clay
The match was surprisingly well fought; the Miz put up a decent fight against the ever dominating Brodus Clay. However, the big man came out on top, taking the Miz out and getting the pin.
WINNER: BRODUS CLAY
We cut to backstage, where Chris Jericho, tag title over shoulder, is waiting with the scrawny and often annoying Michael Cole. He talks about his match later tonight with Kane against the Dudleyz, talking about both his past in ECW and theirs. He goes on to insult ECW, calling a terrible promotion that only made the smallest of waves in the industry, and was never meant to last. He ends the interview with the promise to take out the Dudleyz, in any way possible.
Rey Mysterio vs. Matt Hardy
The match is explosive and hard hitting. These two great performers put on quite the show, flying about the ring, and battering each other to the limits. Mysterio had early control of the match, flying off the ropes several times into all manner of spectacular moves. However, Matt Hardy gained the upper hand, using a more ground based attack and keeping Mysterio grounded and away from the ropes. The match entered a period of back and forth action, but Rey Mysterio finally tripped up Matt Hardy and hit the 619 for the win.
WINNER: Rey Mysterio
We cut to Nash walking down the hallway, looking ready for the oncoming battle against the Phenom. The announcers hype up the #1 contenders match, and we go back to the ring to catch the action.
The Undertaker comes out, dark and eerie. The lights are dimmed.
Kevin Nash's entrance, by contrast, is more brighter, and energetic, but not as much as usual- Nash doesn't take the time to use his signature pose, he walks determinedly to the ring.
THE UNDERTAKER VS. KEVIN NASH
The match was Immovable Object meets the Immovable Object. Both men were on their game, and the match was back and forth, each man wanting to gain the upper hand, but the other quickly stopping the momentum. Kevin Nash started to take some control early, but Undertaker quickly reversed the tide and began to build up momentum. Around this time The Rock, the WWF champion, came out and sat near the announcers table, watching the match intently. The Undertaker came off the ropes and slammed Nash down with a huge clothesline. He begins building up for a finish, but moving quicker than what seems possible for a man of his size, Nash maneuvers out and kick Undertaker in the gut, and lifts him up for the Jackknife. The Phenom is taken by surprise and can't reverse. He's taken down, and Nash goes in for the pin. The Deadman kicks out, living to fight another day. The match begins to lean toward the Deadman, and comes to an end when he takes Nash out with the Tombstone.
WINNER AND #1 CONTENDER: THE UNDERTAKER
As The Deadman stands, he maintains a steely glare at Rock, who returns it with equal intensity.
We go backstage where the voice of the voiceless stands, looking more prepared than ever. He talks about the injustice Cena has handed out to the WWF, how the supposed Doctor Of Thuganomics was nothing more than a fool who has delusions of being able to rap. He swears he will tear Cena apart.
John Cena vs. CM Punk
The match starts out with Cena domination. The rapper throws Punk around the ring with apparent ease, and it's apparent that CM wasn't expecting any of this. Cena tries for an early win with the FU, but CM Punk makes a surprisingly powerful reversal that sends John reeling. Punk takes his chance, and begins to really beat down Cena. Kicks, punches, everything in his arsenal is put on Cena. The Doctor of Thuganomics tries to regain control, but CM is on such a role he easily shuts Cena down. John is sent into the ropes, and Punk lays out Cena with a very surprisingly powerful clothesline. He finally lifts Cena up, and wipes him out with a GTS. CM Punk takes the surprise win.
WINNER: CM PUNK
KANE AND JERICHO VS. THE DUDLEY BOYZ
The tag team champions were on there game tonight. The Dudleyz are being taken out, and Jericho hits an early Lionsault. However, D-Von breaks up the pin and begins battling the Big Red Machine on the outside of the ring. Jericho is being overtaken by Bubba, and is in the corner of the ring, as Bubba was hitting Jericho is every place he could reach. Kane is too distracted with D-Von to help his partner. Suddenly...
