I would love one! But guys like Bruno,"Superstar" Billy Graham, Buddy Rogers, Antonio Rocca and others would do poorly at retail due to some peoples lack of interest.

I might actually pay ringside prices for a superstar billy graham. But yes I'd love to own a Bruno Sammartino and a Bob Backlund. Haystacks Calhoun might be a pass for me though.

I'd buy one just to have one, but it's not a must have for me. Would be much more interested in Backlund.

I bought his Jakks fig but I would not buy a mattel version. He isn't one of those people with a colorful attire and accessories that Mattel could do any better.

i'll take this time to mention that BRUNO will not be appearing at this years HOF ceremony, but instead will be PRE-TAPING his speech and will air on the screen @ MSG...
CHEAP.
i truly feel wwe ( paul & vince ) just did this to get publicity since BRUNO is anti- JUICE, and was Anti- WWE since late 80's... now it appears that the WWE has cleaned up their talent wellness programs!!
any1 of you who thinks cena is natural needs to talk to shelton benjamin and get some ovw stories about Brock & Cena and their old mail order tricks..
n e way, NO i would not purchase a Bruno figure.
i would prefer to see WARRIOR in their first.. i personally feel that bruno was a part of a different product. yes he deserves tons of respect for never takin the sauce, and for his YEARSSSS of hard work.. but imo he would never have had that run in the national or global entertainment era (1985+)

I would buy 1, but there are lots of 'Flashbacks' I would want before him.

In Bruno's HOF interview on his site, he mentions that he hopes they'll do more things like video games and the documentary they've been working on. Meltzer said that he thinks part of the deal is Bruno participating in that WWE 50 Year History DVD coming out at the end of the year.
Looks like they're going to sign him to a Legends deal. Which means Bruno needs a Flashback with the WWWF title!
I think of all the true "old school of old school" guys they could do sans Flair, Bruno would be the most likely to sell decently. For the record: I started watching in the early attitude era; way after his time, and yet, I'd still buy him in a heartbeat. Pack him like Liz.

Here's a thought....
I only really see this being made as an online exclusive, because there is no huge appeal to the figure in general (ie. a colourful costume, t-shirt, no decos etc.) so it's probably a very inexpensive figure to make. Maybe a legends of the ring 3 pack w/ Bruno, Stu Hart, and Bob Backlund. The budget only really needs to be wasted on the scans and maybe unique packaging

I'd love a Bruno, but more so I'd love a Superstar Billy Graham in purple tye-dye and young WWWF Champion in either green or navy blue trunks with wwwf title.

I'd buy it, but it'd do miserably at retail.
The only way I can see Mattel doing it is maybe as the first RSC exclusive Basic figure.

I missed the era and never heard of him until later been from the UK.
But yeah I defently get one he's a major part of Wrestling history and would make a interesting figure.

I'd LOVE one. With a classic championship belt!
Put him on the Zeke body (WITH body hair!)

I'd definitely buy one if it came with the old WWWF title. THAT'd be amazing.

I don't think he would do well at retail. He would have to be packed 0.5 per case to avoid shelfwarming. I'd buy him, but I don't know that very many others would. People on this site? Sure. Average wrestling figure retail shopper? Hell no.

I would buy one but doubt it will sell well at retail at $16.99 before tax.
