So I think that Basic 26 is a great set! Very detailed and all big names in this set, so my question is how come this set isn't sought after? I mean on eBay you can buy them for under 10$ Buy it Now. My walmart was fully stocked with them looking untouched. Any opinions? Discuss.

It's a set full of repeats/repaints, and it's got a lot of Flashbacks. Guess they don't have the mass appeal that everyone thinks they have.

It's a set full of repeats/repaints, and it's got a lot of Flashbacks. Guess they don't have the mass appeal that everyone thinks they have. Agree completely with the first sentence. Not so much with the second. Mattel has already released Macho Man and HBK as Heritage figures. It's great that they've restarted the Heritage series, but re-releasing different versions of the same wrestlers from the last Heritage series doesn't make much sense. If Mattel had put any other new "Legends" in this Heritage set, I would be all over them, and, I imagine, so would many other collectors. Fingers crossed for the next Heritage series.

I think everyone nailed it on the head. Other than Macho man and Kane, no one seems to be buying these up. Mattel should have debuted a couple of new characters and taken advantage that Heritage is back.

I like Mark Henry, but that was a wasted spot. The markets oversaturated as hell with him. Macho Man and D-Bry for me. Everybody else is a pass. (and on that note, Daniel Bryan is flooding the market like crazy, but I said when they first started to come out that I would collect all of his figures.)
Everybody else has already stated that there should be a bigger variety of legends with these heritage sets. I realize that it's compulsory to put recent things in these sets so that the kiddies will want them, too, but I love basics and agree that a greater scope of figures available in these sets would be awesome. Maybe we could one day get Camo slaughter and barefoot Snuka as basics in these sets.

For me it was just because of the attires chosen. I think a more classic HBK would of been better, Macho Man has incorrect boots, the rest I had no interest for and have too many figures. Now. I know Mattel has a budget for this line but it would of been better if they would of molded Kane's tanktop. That would of sold it for me.

Yeah it is very good.
First bald basic Undertaker. And Henry, Bryan (my favorite Bryan) and Kane in very cool attires.

its a solid set all around, all the figures are great in their own way. ebay is flooded because a lot of people are able to get cases of mattel's to sell, and it's not hard to make money on them. Walmarts are just starting to get the set, wait a few weeks and they will sell out.

I like Flashbacks, but I'm not interested in BASIC Flashbacks, so I don't plan on buying anybody from Basic 26. I'm just hoping the set doesn't shelfwarm too long to prevent Basic 27 from hitting, because I am VERY interested in purchasing Ryback and Antonio Cesaro.

I like the set, but to me, most of the wrestlers in the set have had better and more detailed releases made, therefore making the set less "critical" to have by collectors. We have more detailed Machos, Kanes and HBKs in even more iconic attires. Personally, I love the B26 HBK, but there are other HBK's that hold priority first to me (like E19).

I see the lowest price + shipping on eBay is 'Taker at $15 and he's loose. Then most of the auctions have $9.00 shipping fees. Every figure looks to be well above retail. There's probably not enough urgency to buy basics when they're not first timers or single packed.

Theres been a few Kanes, Savages and HBK's released in the basic and elite line lately ( as well as online exclusives) so I think that contributes to it a bit. I would of preferred Kanes Basic 26 attire for his Elite 22 figure. Would like to see some more legends in the basic line but not guys that we have already seen, except for Warrior, even though I would much prefer a flashback Warrior.

Basic sets aren't hard to find. Only times Basics goes for a lot of money are either first time appearances like Ryback or had to find from older series like Hurricane and Skip Sheffield.
If these were Elites, they would sell better.

They may all be reprints but I like every figure in the set. I have the orange Randy Savage and its a great figure, I still need to get the Kane, it's my favorite attire Kane wore

Can't wait to find this set so I can swap my Legends 5 and All-Stars Macho Man figures with that better head sculpt.

I love what they do with the Basic line where they have just a set all flash backs from a set PPV e.g. WM, think its a really good idea.

I love it, really solid set. Love the fact a set is made up of flashbacks, basically.
