Saw the lineup for the new champions series up for preorder on Ringside but wasn't sure if anything has been said about this set, particularly the Ultimate Warrior and what attire this figure may be in? Has Mattel shed any light on this series? I am always happy to have another Warrior because of the endless attired to choose from and unlike Rey mysterio, I think Warrior figures are 100 times better. I was hoping for the green trunks with yellow and hot pink face paint or the 91 royal rumble USA attire with purple winged eagle belt. Any thoughts?

No light has been shed on the Ultimate Warrior attire or the attires of the others in the series.
I would love to see this Warrior to be with this attire but I know it's unlikely since there would be a need for a ton of detail on this singlet...maybe in elite form some day.

The brick attire is pretty sick. I hope they make his airbrushed attire as opposed to the plain ones.

Based on the pic (which could mean nothing) Warrior is wearing the white winged eagle. I'm not sure what we'll get but I'll be pretty happy with white or blue winged eagle. Attire wise, I'll take whatever... Warrior had so many great ring attires.  |

I still have a hard time buying the "only 5" story, since to the best of my knowledge, that has never been officially stated and Mattel said that they would never produce a figure in numbers that low. As for the basic figure, I have a strong feeling it'll be this version, but I hope not, as that was the main Elite version I wanted:  |

Well there were only five officially released to him mib. There were plenty of loose ones on eBay and in China for a while...so I'm sure the production was higher than 5...but only 5 were released.

I'm not as concerned with the figure as I am the belt. Hopefully we'll see a purple, white, or blue WHC. Maybe Mattel will correct their L6 mistake and release a yellow IC title.

I'll be happy with whatever the figure's attire is, but would really like to see the green trunks with green, yellow, and pink face paint and tassles, the cs 7 figure with blue belt (only change his facepaint to match what it was for SummerSlam 1990), or the Royal Rumble 1991 USA gear.

you know it is funny, youd think it would be better business for mattel to just tell us what we are getting and what attire they are going to be in. then people will know right away, OH i want that, or OH i dont want that. instead we have to play these little monkey games where we see the lineups, we get the pre-orders,but see NO pictures of protos or MOC until a few days prior to them going on sale.
i know some people tend to enjoy being surprised, i dont. as soon as the pictures come up; "OHHH sorry pal they are all on backorder now. what? you didnt pre-order? thats a shame. even though we didnt supply you with pics, we just assumed you wanted to spend $30 on your favorite character, so well, have fun waiting an extra month while the backorderes are stocked...maybe next time!"
