(kayfabe) Heyman doesn't work for you, so stop threatening to fire him...
I know WWE has some ridiculous storylines, but I just can't suspend belief on this one. They guy clearly came in as an "outside advisor" to Punk and eventually Lesnar, he doesn't "work for WWE" as an on-screen character. He's doing the best acting of his career, but enough with the "I'm going to fire you, but that's not good enough" bit...ugh.

At least he is contributing something other than one word replies and gifs.
He could be acting like a dick.

He may be employed by CM Punk, but he is a manger within Vince Mcmahon's capacity. I don't think it is that farfetched, keyfabe wise. Besides, isn't Heyman the head of creative? He probably wrote this.

'Kayfabe' would state that Vince McMahon doesn't even has his seat of power anymore, doesn't he? Didn't Triple H take it?

Contributing off the wall, non sensical, nothing to do with anything replies is an even bigger waste of time. I agree with Bandy though, the authority over Heyman lacks serious continuity. Why can't Vince just want to kick Heyman's ass and humiliate him because of their past? Brock's going to come out and then Triple H is going to come out and it's all going to tie into a nice little bow but the I'm going to fire you thing is kind of ridiculous at this point.

WWE showing a WM30 promo of Vince McMahon WALKING WITHOUT CRUTCHES last night was even more illogical than his character wanting to fire Paul Heyman's character who may or may not have a WWE contract.
I thought McMahon DID have hip surgery in real life? I know it probably wasn't a hip replacement or as severe as they made it sound on TV, but I thought the hip surgery was legit and the F5 was a way of writing him off for a bit?

Back in the day like the 80's didn't you need a "managers license" kayfabe wise, I know they don't bring it up on commentary anymore. But by that logic Vince could some how fire him?

Vince is still Chairman of the board. Hunter is Cheif Operating Officer. Secondly, I could have sworn the press conference was taped prior to Vince's injury. It seems that managers are under some degree of employer authority by extension of the talent the work with.
Quite frankly, since there's still an air of "businessmen's secrecy" in modern wrestling storylines, a lot of things go unexplained(kafabe speaking) because they don't let us see everything.
Is it stupid? Somewhat, but when was the last time everything in a wrestling storyline made complete sense? Sadly, that's one of the things we have to deal with in an era where "The illusionist's code of conduct" & that sense of realism is all, but dead & gone.
The only logical reason I can come up with is that when a wrestler brings in a manager, there must be a revision of their contract. During such times, Vince includes that he now has authority of said manager to the extent that he may terminate his admission to events in example, on camera & backstage or "fire him" so to speak.
Either way, I look forward to HHH/Lesnar II.

Heyman hasn't been in creative in a long time. Yeah, the last time Heyman was part of creative was leading into the disastrous December to Dismember PPV. That was not Heymans fault, he had to work with what he had to work with. He wanted Punk to elminate show first by submission. I don't even think he wanted Lashley to win the belt

I don't even think he wanted Lashley to win the belt Oh, I'm not saying D2D was Heyman's fault, I'm just using that as the timeline to when he was in creative last. Yeah, he wanted Show to tap out to Punk, in like the first few minutes of the match, to start it off with a big shock, and have the fans know, they would get a new champion. Hell, Big Show was even in favor of it, yet Vince nixed it. I believe the McMahon's D2D compared to what Heyman thought it should be, was the final straw, that led to him finally quitting.

Yeah i laughed at that. 10 Minutes ago you were showing a press confrence and you were fine, now you need crutches? Also why was it a live satelite when he was there for the conference lol.
