Now it would be a joke to do anything but give The Shield the win. Which is great, but, still, the match just makes no sense at all. What happened to the Shield standing for "justice"? They used to have a reason for attacking the people that they went after, now it's just random. Well Orton and Sheamus have constantly been trying to get revenge on The Shield so they're reaping their brand of justice on them for that.

Big Show vs Shield? And people are disappointed that Ryback isn't wrestling? What the hell did I just walk into..

I think it's clever how they've got Big Show into the match. He didn't turn Face. He got lumped in to by the Shield on Smackdown, retaliated, knocked the s*** out of Reigns, and now they want to get back at him.
Anyone saying none of that makes sense and that WWE just randomly turned Big Show Face, need to actually watch the show.
I usually agree with J12 and punksnotdead, great posters and all, but not here. Just sounds like complaining to me.

My two biggest gripes with the situation are... -Big Show turning face is, to me, laughable. Like Kane, they just constantly turn him back and forth whenever they need someone to fill a gap. He was (at least somewhat) entertaining for the first time in years during this last heel run. What is there to gain by adding yet another babyface floater to the roster other than filling out this match? -It's quickly becoming "which random combination of babyfaces can beat the Shield". Ryback has tried three times, and failed. Now, despite not getting any revenge, he's out of the picture. Sheamus has tried twice and failed. Cena was just filling a temporary void, so they replaced him with Jericho. And now Big Show. It's just tiring. If Show is going to remain heel and they play up a level of dissent among Orton, Sheamus, and Show, then I suppose that could get interesting, but then, what is left for the match? The Shield have soundly defeated three separate teams of fully united superstars. Surely they can beat three that has a member that can't get along. What it really comes down to, to me, is Ryback should be in the match. He's arguably been the Shield's number one target, and he's yet to get an ounce of revenge. I just don't see how they can consider their rivalry finished.

So we should wait and see what develops there. I agree the flip-flopping between Face and Heel is ridiculous. 2. I agree about Ryback. I think it's crappy how, as you mentioned, he has a big score to settle with the Shield and yet it appears as though he's getting into a rivalry with Mark Henry. Random as hell.

I think it's crappy how, as you mentioned, he has a big score to settle with the Shield and yet it appears as though he's getting into a rivalry with Mark Henry. Random as hell. I actually am intrigued by the Ryback/Henry match, but it could have easily been saved for Extreme Rules. They seem to be so high on Ryback and yet the guy is remaining virtually stagnant. I think it was smart to refrain from putting the title on him, especially the way in which they did it, but that led to a blood feud with The Shield that is just apparently dead in the water. They essentially have a huge opportunity with Ryback at Wrestlemania - finally getting his victory over the Shield would be a huge accomplishment. This group has been well documented (and well built) as an unstoppable force, and for Ryback to finally take them out would be a big stepping stone for his character, especially considering he didn't just do it on the first try and move on. On the flip side, to me, the positive that can come out of this is the Shield remains undefeated. I have absolutely no issue whatsoever with Ryback finally beating the Shield, but to have the team of Sheamus/Orton/Show beat the Shield, to me, would be totally counterproductive to everything they've tried to do with them over the last few months. So who knows, maybe that's the name of the game here - protect the Shield. I don't think Ryback can necessarily take another loss at their hands, so maybe they're just building them up a bit longer before finally pulling the trigger on a Ryback victory.

I dont understand why they just dropped Ryback from this fued completely.
Watching the shows and reading spoilers, I understand the storyline dynamic they are going with Orton, Sheamus and Show, but it is way too random.
I guess it is gonna get interesting see as the whole story is gonna be that these three have personal issues and also have issues with the Shield. But I do think that if the Shield does not ein at Mania, then it will completely crush them and take away everything they have done.
As for where they go next, i would love to see the Shield branch off as a two and one. Basically two are gonna be tag champs, and then one can capture US/IC/WHC gold to keep them together as a group.

I agree with willbuh on the whole thing about Big Show's involvement making sense, but I agree with the negative opinions of Ryback not being in the match. It just makes no sense not to include, especially if Orton, Sheamus, and Big Show win. They say the Shield ruined Ryback's life, and Ryback is just going to let it go and face Mark Henry instead? Even if I'm looking forward to the match, it just doesn't make sense storyline wise. I just hope Shield wins and Ryback gets his revenge at some point, or honestly I think both sides will come out weak.

Just rooting for The Shield to win ;D I don't think they were beating Ryback so I could say this makes me pretty happy on some level. What's frustrating though is for them to tell a story for 3-4 months and then drop it right before we're about to see some payoff from it. That's all, all I think J12 is getting at. Big Show: heel, tween, face, you know I don't care because I don't care for Big Show. But assuming he does turn full face, I think it's pretty crazy how he gets floated around for whatever's convenient at the time.
