I keep thinking we'll see a modern version of the 1996 Sting/nWo storyline. AJ returns & says TNA betrayed him when he had the worst year of his life. A&8 will attempt to recruit him, while TNA will beg to have him back.
Ultimately, he sides with TNA as the only person who can stop A&8, & ends up winning the world title at BFG.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? 100% agree haha and I just posted that exact sentiment on the Lockdown thread. I mean they are running an NWO angle anyway and someone has to put this all to an end. I actually think we might see A&8's believe they have AJ in their pocket and then eventually BFG will lead to AJ winning the title. Seems to make a lot of sense. I don't mind that they are doing the same angle again personally. It's different parts and still has the chance to be very good.

I'd like to see AJ be the one to defeat Bully for the title at BFG for sure. I'm quite liking his new look as long as he goes back to the more defined shape he was in a few years ago.

It may be a retread of an old idea, but I like it. As long as fans buy into it, you can get a lot of play out of the loner being recruited by two sides.

I really hope they push AJ as the savior. And do it right this time. He's been through alot and it would be a great appreciation to him.

Yes I could see this happening. And Bully could easily hold it that long, don't forget that there's only 1 ppv in between now and BFG now.
This is definitely 100% the nWo/Sting formula, and I 100% love it just like the original idea. If WWE and TNA are going to be rehasing old formulas, at least its a good one that TNA has chosen.

Yes AJ as the savior as the Crow of TNA like how Sting was for WCW, Aces and Eights trying to recruit AJ and AJ being recruited by Hogan and TNA, who is he going to side with? I love it

That's a great idea, and to quote Jim Cornette, 'everything in wrestling is cyclical' so there's no doubt in mind in this day and age it could work.

Though it's still relatively early I too noticed the similarities.... So AJ is Sting? Storm is Luger? And A&8's is the nWo? Same exact storyline (so far) just slightly different characters. AJ is turning darker like Sting did. Storm (Luger) wants answers from a man who he thought was his friend. And A&8's is trying to recruit AJ just like the nWo did with Sting! Hopefully they pull something interesting out of left field instead of rehashing the same old storylines.

Hopefully they can get something new from this, but I like how the story's going now.

I'd like to see AJ join the Aces and Eights just to take them out from the inside. However after of course doing this crow like thing.

I know this may or may not seem a trivial question, and I definitely don't wanna hijack HHH316's thread, but does anyone think we'll see AJ in a new attire/ring gear once he starts wrestling in this storyline?
