Got some cool new Mattel figs over the past couple weeks. I don't have that many yet for a number of reasons but I plan on changing that starting with these receivings. I quickly set my real scale ring up just to snap these pics. First up is The Rockers. Which are really cool. One thing I love about Mattel is their desire to include cool accessories with a lot of the elites. I really love their shirts. I find a lot of Mattel scans to be hit or miss but these Rocker scans are pretty good. Although I hate their ridiculous over-sized kneepads. I got these two gems this morning. I was finally able to catch them both on the Smyths site yesterday (oddly enough Jericho is already out of stock on there, no wonder I had such a pain in the ass wait to order him on there). Surprisingly this is my first Christian figure ever, despite me being a huge fan of his. It's really good and I'll look to get the Edge to match him eventually. The Jericho is masterful, the jacket is just plain awesome (and so is the glow in the dark feature, even though it was missing one of the glow in the dark balls on his back as you can see in the picture). I really like both these Cenas, the Elite 17 one only cost me about £8, so I'm thinking it was a pretty good buy. I finally got the DM Bret Hart too, not as good as the Jakks counterpart but it's still a pretty cool figure. I'm waiting on a Neidhart to go with the three Hart Foundation figures we have. All in all I'm really pleased with these figures. I'll definately be getting more Mattels (I only have about 15 now) in the near future starting with the upcoming Tensai. Thanks for looking.

Great buys. Cena E17 is my personal favourite from all the cena figures released, love the new leg mold.

Great pick ups you have there Anvil Fan. I really like the Elite Chris Jericho w/the light up jacket, The Rockers, Elite Cena with the camo pants and the Defining Moments Bret Hart.

Nice pick ups but I have to disagree about the Hitman...Mattel's Bret blows Jakks out of the water. If they had given him knee pads he'd have been damn perfect. Only the two hair strands stop it from being perfect and that was easily fixed with an exact knife.

Those are some good pickups there. Rockers really are a nice 2 pack.

Only the two hair strands stop it from being perfect and that was easily fixed with an exact knife. It's good. No question. But the coat feels very feeble and like it could tear very easily. And I think Jakks headscan is better than the Mattel one. I guess this board's users are different from the jakks board in its heyday. No one remembers John Scott .

I don't think Jakks ever really captured Bret's likeness. The first scan (cs1/cstt1) really didn't look like Bret. The second scan (rsc ringfest) looked like Bret from the profile, but from the front he had too much forehead. The CSDA scan was the one that Jakks did the best, but the scale and yelling scan hurt it. BnB was a great scan for a 3.75" figure.
But both Mattel's look fantastic. The DM/RSC scan would be perfect without the hair strands in his face. And as for the BoPPV older scan it is solid...except for the angle of his nose. The figure's is sloping down, but Bret's nose slopes upwards.
And I am one of longest active members here and I have no clue to who you are talking about.

It's to do with that Jim Ross figure in the background.

Ok looking at the pics in those links I do vaguely remember the pics, but it looks like they are from 2010. Since Mattel took over the license in Jan of 10 I don't hit the Jakks board as the only Jakks I've bought since then have been the Stings and a Scott Steiner. I thought you were talking about the Jakks board pre Mattel era.
