Just curious if anybody has any insight about the food item known as C-loaf?
Reason being that I have been trying lots of different types of food and drinks as I'm getting older. When I was young (13) I drank a beer and thought it was awful. And I let it affect my opinion for another 10 years, until I turned 23 and tried it again. I found many different beer styles to be very tasty, IPA now being my favorite.
When I was a kid I hated mustard, guess what? Now I like mustard.
I had never tried Indian, Thai, or Vietnamese, now I like them.
So it is some surprise that I haven't tried various regional foods from the U.S. C-loaf being chief. I won't lie, the package at the grocery store looks gross. It looks like a rotted gray brick of sausage, which is enough to make me not want to try. But then I remember how many people love chitterlings and liver pudding and hog brains, so there has to be something, right? Maybe it's not for me, but what if it is? What if to my tastebuds it's the most awesome thing I ever had?
So, has anyone here eaten it, or any of the other things I listed, and what sort of taste and texture should I expect?

I guess it's a regional thing. I had never heard of scrapple, and then was delighted to hear the song..."Grind up a pig, put it in a can-SCRAPPLE!"

Just like everyone else, I've never heard of it. But, if it's anything like scrapple, stay far away.
