I know I'm in the minority, but I don't really get all the Jon Snow hate. I find Robb Stark far more annoying. i'm fine with him, but his wildling love angle has been not all that enjoyable to watch.

That Samwell scene at the end was a bit too long for my liking. Interesting to see what ends up happening to him. Hoping he gets killed off pretty soon by an army of Whitewalkers.

Im genuinely looking forward to seeing the reaction on here after the next episode or the finale..... My mom watches the show and keeps complaining about how boring this season has been for her; all I keep telling her is "Mom, just wait till the 9th episode."

I'm pissed they didn't have a new episode last night. I know it was a holiday weekend but I don't see why they didn't have a new episode.

I never read the books, but I knew this was happening. I just didnt know how or when.
Who do I root for now? Obviously Dinklage, but Stannis I guess? Obviously hot blond with dragons too.

The Lannisters win!
Now we just need Tywin to murder Joffrey and take the throne himself. #DealWithIt
And unrelated but Walder Frey is like some unholy cross between Emperor Palpatine and Larry Flynt.

I pretty much hated everything about that decision. I feel like that was pretty much the elimination of the Starks, and they were really the main protagonists of the show. How am I supposed to want to see good conquer evil when there isn't any good? The best we can see now is Daenerys burning the kingdom to the ground. What I took from that is we really aren't getting closure for Ned's death and there really is no beginning, middle and end to this story. Just making the sh*t up as we go.

I wouldn't count Robb as the good anyway. He wasn't evil, but he was very stupid.
Besides, you still five Starks to root for, counting Jon Snow. Though I don't imagine people are concerned much with Rikkon. But there are good people not in the Starks. Tyrion and Daenarys being the top two. Sure they can be underhanded, but they still do what they think is right for reasons other than money and power.
I knew this event was coming for a while. It was still pretty insane to actually see on my television screen.
I'm really sad we only have on more week to go before the season is over. Next year will be pretty insane though.

Well hes n ot making stuff up as he goes since its in the book. But I get your general disappointment in all the good guys getting got. I knew what was going to happen, so I expected a bad outcome and I know the other outcomes (most of them I think) there is still good out there...my main man Dinkledge is probably your lead and best hope, hot blond is another "good" character. The books are still happening, so there is no closure anywhere yet. I think the general sentiment is that a lot of the times good does not always win. The Geoffreys of the world some times do win.

It sucked to see Robb go, but it had to happen. They portrayed him as a giant dumbass for the last 1/2 seasons. He had to pay the price for that eventually.
Like that one dude from a couple episodes ago said, if you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Though I don't imagine people are concerned much with Rikkon. But there are good people not in the Starks. Tyrion and Daenarys being the top two. Sure they can be underhanded, but they still do what they think is right for reasons other than money and power. Robb to me was the main protagonist by default because he was seeking revenge for Ned, more than really wanting to be king even. "Very stupid" can be said about lots of the literary "heroes" over time, Ned & Robb included. So for me, this show is about the Starks vs the Lannisters. That really ended on a gigantic level last night. Bran is going off past the wall to look at birds, Rickon is a baby, Arya may be on the path to becoming a warrior but she's still a baby too, and Sansa is the only Stark in position to become a political threat, and that really falls on Tyrion more than it does Sansa. Jon Snow, sans Ned, is by far my favorite of the Stark clan, but he isn't going to get anywhere close to the Lannisters imo. His story is with the wildlings, Night Watch and the white walkers. Yes, it's an oncoming threat, and I think he is the centerpiece of that story but he is so far removed from the iron throne equation it's hard to put him at the main center, at least for me. Daenarys is easily my favorite character on the show, and I've said that even before last night. So all my eggs are now in that basket. However, seeing her punish the Lannisters doesn't really give me closure for Ned, which is ultimately how the story ends for me because Ned is how this whole thing started. I want to see the Starks get revenge on Joffrey, Cersei and Tywin. I pretty much hated everything about that decision. I feel like that was pretty much the elimination of the Starks, and they were really the main protagonists of the show. How am I supposed to want to see good conquer evil when there isn't any good? The best we can see now is Daenerys burning the kingdom to the ground. The books are still happening, so there is no closure anywhere yet. I think the general sentiment is that a lot of the times good does not always win. The Geoffreys of the world some times do win. Meh, even Darth Vader and the Joker lose. The bad guy winning should be temporary to make it look like an impossible challenge for the good guy(s). However, if you kill Batman, it's hard to care what happens to Joker, and that's coming from someone who enjoys the Joker more than he does Batman. That to me is what just happened. I felt the exact same way when Ned died. Robb wasn't my favorite character, but as someone who only watches the show I feel he was the main good guy. He was that beacon of hope against the reign of terror. I'm talking kings and the iron throne here, not wildlings, and knights on the wall, or far off lands. The journey to this point has been awesome, incredible, and I definitely feel there is plenty of reason to keep following the story, but I feel this is the second giant mistake they have made in storytelling. Robb was a way to makeup for the first giant mistake they made and they just killed him off too. I don't get it. Again, I have no foresight because I don't read the books. So I'm just judging this based solely on what I've seen so far. I'm still emotionally destroyed from Ned dying so this is going to linger with me for at least a season haha. I just don't want this to become The Walking Dead (Comic), and it's starting to lean in that direction imo. It sucked to see Robb go, but it had to happen. They portrayed him as a giant dumbass for the last 1/2 seasons. He had to pay the price for that eventually. Like that one dude from a couple episodes ago said, if you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention. Haha that's fair.

Just wait, this isn't anything compared to what the finale will hold.

Just wait, this isn't anything compared to what the finale will hold. Unless your a book reader and know what happens next I doubt it. The second last episodes have always been better than the finale so far.
