He could have won one had the refs not rigged the 2002 wcf They should have won in 02. I am not saying the refs rigged it, but between the Horry miracle shot, refs, and just other stuff, I thought the Kings let it get away. Lakers always pulled out wins. They had a real chance the next year too, if Weber hadn't gotten hurt. To answer the question, I say Barkley, Malone, Wilkins. I believe an official for that game publicly admitted the game was rigged.

Those are all worthy choices
I chose Pistol Pete. The guy was just a freak player. Totally insane. Great shooter and an even better passer. One of the most prolific college players ever and a great innovator of the game of basketball.
Karl Malone comes a close second. Second on the all time scorers list and was one of the most consistent players to ever play the game. He helped build a small market and was the face of the franchise.

I believe an official for that game publicly admitted the game was rigged. The source for that was Tim Donaghy who was on his way to jail, so take that for what it's worth. The Lakers did take 40 free throws in the game, 27 I think in the 4th quarter, and some were questionable, but I won't say it was rigged 100%. Kings still had game 7 at home, and let it get away.

I'd also put Reggie Miller on this list as well. Not sure where he'd rank on my personal list of no ring guys

Any love for "The Big O", Orlando Woolridge? Coke problem aside, had Jordan not wanted to be Mr. Show-Stealer, this was a guy who should've been apart of Chicago's Big 3 in the mid-late 80's and should've been the guy they stuck with to win a ring by '91. Shame, Orlando never got his due (almost did as a Laker, but they benched him behind AC Green...really? I love AC, but c'mon now).

The Lakers did take 40 free throws in the game, 27 I think in the 4th quarter, and some were questionable, but I won't say it was rigged 100%. Kings still had game 7 at home, and let it get away. It was rigged. Saying it wasn't is turning a blind eye to it. The calls the Lakers were getting were ridiculous. The Lakers averaged 22 free throws per game through the first 5, then got 27 in the fourth quarter of game 6. The fact that both Divac and Thunderberk, Sacromento's two centers, both fouled out pretty early in a game showed the intent of the refs as well. In game 4, though the Kings blew that mostly on their own, their momentum was squashed when Samaki Walker of the Lakers half court shot at the buzzer counted when replays showed the ball clearly still in his hands when the buzzer went off. Just some of the jokes that went on during this series. Stern has been know to favor the big stars and big markets, and this series was at the height of it. He wanted to find the next "Chicago Bulls" after they dispanded, and the Lakers fit the bill for him. The small market Nets, even w/ Jason Kidd, were not a big market nor did they move much merchandise. Stern would never allow two smaller market teams like the Nets and Kings to meet in the finals because of that so this series were rigged to favor LA. Same as in the 2001 ECF when the Bucks were robbed at the end. The Ray Allen led Bucks had won the season series easily against both Philly and LA, and when they took the lead against Philly in the series, calls began going Philly's way. The Bucks got no calls throughout the series, and lost their big man Scott Williams to a suspension for the final game, and the fact that Stern was seen during the series w/ and Iverson t-shirt tells the whole story.

He had been gone for 5 years and 3 teams from the Bulls by the time they won their first championship. Hell, he chose to leave as a free agent. It's not like they dumped him. AC Green was a very good player, and was a much better all around player than Orlando was. Not to mention he wasn't a coke fiend either. The Bulls keep Wooldridge, they likely don't get Pippen later, and they likely don't win as many championships, or possibly any.

Karl Malone, mainly because he's 2nd all time in scoring but no ring.

My biased answer is Steve Nash. He's the first player who's game I really enjoyed when I first started to actually follow basketball. Also 2x MVP which a lot of people forget about from time to time.
Besides Nash though, I would say Barkley. Followed by Malone, Stockton, and Ewing in that order.

Most of the guys have been answered but I would have to throw Grant Hill in the mix. Another guy who was hit with the injury bug but was a hell of a player for the Pistons and a member of Dream Team 3 in 96.

I voted for 'Other' because I think Charles Barkley is the best player not to get a ring. He was 6'6 (probably shorter) and played power forward and sometimes center. He averaged a double-double for his career, which is crazy considering his size and he didn't have a great physique.
'Michael Jordan Era' F-Charles Barkley F-Karl Malone C-Patrick Ewing G-Reggie Miller G-John Stockton
'Kobe/Shaq/Lebron Era' F/G-Tracy McGrady F-Kevin Durant C-Dwight Howard G-Allen Iverson G-Steve Nash
